We had one of our best family vacations ever at this super pretty mountain home, like out of a Sundance catalog, with all the incredible furnishings. The kids loved all the fun things to do in the game room area and outside, especially at the lake. it was easy for us to enjoy ourselves too with the kids so happy and entertained, we biked, hiked, read, relaxed, played games, went swimming, had fun cooking and eating, and slept so well. All and all this is just what we needed, so happy to have the chance to stay with my family at Peaceful Pines.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is our 4th visit to Peaceful Pines, and every time we have a better time than ever, we love this beautiful mountain home. We cook, relax, play games, swim, kayak and most of all really relax! We are so thrilled to have this place for our family vacations. Wow, our workouts were so fun, the challenge of the altitude gave us a great edge to train, the hot tub soothed our muscles and the starry starry night was just what we needed to unplug and enjoy some quiet time together. We picked this place because we loved the mountain decor and we were even more pleased when we got here. It has so much ambiance and comfort, really fabulous. My creative team joined me for a few days and then the rest of the week I had time to myself to enjoy all the benefits of this fantastic home and area on the lake. It was a very productive environment for us to focus on our creativity, all the things we needed in the home gave us comfort and let us go deep as we worked on our projects. A fabulous retreat for my team and I. Nature, quiet, comfort, beauty and the creative juices flowed! Every summer for the past 4 years we have had the wonderful pleasure of staying here for a week with our kids, they love, we love it, all year long they count down until when they can return. This valentine's we decided to go without them for some r&r for ourselves and it was the perfect place for us to have our needed alone time in this special home. The beauty of the lake and the trails always help us unwind and we love feeling like we are at home in this beautiful home with all we need and more, each year it gets better for us. My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much, our 4th time visiting Peaceful Pines. It was quiet and peaceful, and so lovely to be away form the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. This is our special getaway that always makes us appreciate the simple pleasures of being together in nature, the home has everything we need to feel like we are at home and even more comfortable beds than ours, we sleep like babies. This is our 3rd time bringing the family here and every time it is better than the time before. It has everything we need to enjoy this wonderful home away from home, the kids are counting down to summer so they can go swimming and be in the treehouse. We had a wonderful time, the kids and grandkids enjoyed all the fun things to do at the home and the dock, games and lots of places to run around and have good old fashioned family fun, great get away from our daily busy lives. I loved the cozy beds with wonderful linens and the kitchen was stocked with all I needed to enjoy cooking for the gang, it was fun and relaxing. The decor is really special, the owners have a wonderful eye for creating the mountain theme and still keeping it so functional.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had an excellent spring break at Peaceful Pines, all that we needed for our kids and for us to have a perfect home away from home vacation at the lake, best location we have ever had in our many years of staying at rentals at the lake. It was perfect for all of our family- the kids, the grandparents and my wife and I had a marvelous time at this lovely lake home. It's a perfect home for our family, the kids love all the games, Wii, paddleboard at the lake, movies and picking apples, fishing, swimming, and that makes us the parents have a great time too, when they have fun it makes it so much easier for us to relax and enjoy our time too. The home is comfortable, well stocked, very pretty, clean and wonderful beds. We love the decor and all the interesting furniture and outdoor kitchen, decks and treehouse. It's our fun house vacation home, so happy it's available for us to rent, the kids look forward to our annual summer vacation here and this year we were lucky enough to make it up for snow too!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My sisters and I brought our kids for a snow play weekend and we had a fabulous stay. The home is so special, all the nice touches were really appreciated by us. The linens, comfy beds and pretty mountain style art gave it so much appeal and comfort. Our kids loved all the movies and games. We had fun cooking and watching our own movies on one TV and the kids all tucked in together and watched their movies upstairs, very relaxing after our fun day at the village. Now we all want to come back for a summer trip, maybe we will let the husbands in on this too! The property is wonderful too, even a stream running through it, so peaceful just like the name says. We all had a great stay at Peaceful Pines, for 15 years my friends and I have had our girlfriends getaway all over CA and this was one of our very favorite places so far. It was clean, really pretty, very comfortable and on a beautiful part of the lake. Thanks for having us to your wonderful home, we had a fabulous time. Staying at this lovely home is a family favorite, summer and winter for us. In the summer we love to go in the lake swimming and this home is on the best place on the lake for swimming because it's in a no wake zone and very calm, We had a blast on the paddle board, kayak and hanging out on the dock playing cards, reading. The outdoor kitchen BBQ is great, as we love to cook and hang out and play games on the deck. The property is very beautiful and great outdoor areas to enjoy nature. The home is so well stocked with all the comforts and extras we don't usually find in a rental, it really feels like we are staying in a home that is well loved and cared for, so amazing it's a rental. We were lucky to be here for a snowfall and the kids had a blast sledding right outside the home. We love walking our dog on the lake trail too.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay was ok. The place seemed nice. Had a nice kitchen and bathrooms. I was disappointed with a few things though. The rooms felt a little crammed. The downstairs bathroom had little to no water pressure so we all had to use the upstairs shower. The only way to get wireless service is to stand outside (in the cold) close to the front house. The floors are LOUD! From the bedroom downstairs you can hear every conversation upstairs crystal clear and foo steps are amplified 10 fold. There is no way one can continue sleeping once one person has gotten up and begun walking around. We were unable to get the hot tub very hot during our stay. Don’t know what happened. It had a funny smell to it anyway. There were a lot of cobwebs even though we paid for cleaning.Owner response: This review is an error and not for our property, in process of having it removed with VRBO.

In all our years of renting this is the most beautiful home we have ever stayed at the lake, we can't wait to come back. Our kids had so much fun with the wii and all the fun games we played. It worked great for us and our friends, they had the top level with their 2 kids and we had the bottom level bedrooms for us, our 2 kids and 1 very happy dog. The bathrooms are awesome, custom roomy, can really tell the owner is a custom home builder. We love to cook and it had a great stocked kitchen. It's in the best part of the lake too, we loved going on the trails and to the park at UCLA with the kids. It was like a home away from home and then some, the detail on the outdoor areas with all the decks and furniture really helped us enjoy the mountain fresh air. We really liked how the owners were like innkeepers for us, there at the other house to help us check in, the home was already warm and they showed us around the property. They gave us some good suggestions on the trails and the other fun things to do at the village. After all that fun and exercise we were glad to have such comfy beds and slept so well in all the quiet of nature, great to get away from the city for sure.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Peaceful Pines is beautiful, yet so comfy for my kids and dog, we loved it here. It is so well stocked with everything and more, from the kitchen to each room with a TV, games and videos, we even played Wii for the first time and had a blast. Kayaking even with snow and cold water was so much fun, Karen was very helpful getting us out on the lake and making sure we new how to peddle it without getting wet. I love this place and can't wait to go back. The hot tub was a special treat, and we made smores around the fireplace, a great getaway we will remember dearly.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We love it here! First of all the swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking from their dock is fabulous, this part of the Lake is the calmest and is our favorite because we love to be on the water. The home is so comfortable and has everything we could want and then some, the decor is so mountain home unique and really makes me feel I've gotten away from it all in the beauty of the mountains. The home was great for our family too because could could be together for all of our meals but have plenty of space for alone time too with all the decks and the coolest ever tree house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The beauty of the home and the lake setting are an added bonus. Although I loved getting in the water, even if the water was for viewing pleasure only, I would want to be there for the pines, the wildlife and serenity!
