Beautiful Sun River Home

We love this house. It is the third time we have stayed here. It is the perfect place, right on the river. We love to kayak and couldn't ask for a better place. There is an inlet to put our boats in right in the back yard. It is very well stocked and we never want for anything. It isn't as close to Sun River, but we come here for the quiet and peace that we find here. Love the deer, ducks and other wildlife. It is perfect for 2 couples and the rooms are very private with a central living space. I highly recommend it. Lots to do in the area.

What a great place! The pictures don't do it justice. We loved the views, the close proximity of the water and the layout of the house. It was nice having a large enough house where it felt like there was 3 separate areas with the locations of the bedrooms. Definitely not for people who have trouble with stairs though. I loved that the place was so well stocked with everything we needed.

Relaxing times

Very nice place to stay and enjoy the surroundings and relax. Great location, we were able to drive to a hike near Mt. Bachelor in under 45 minutes, used the bikes supplied with the home in the surrounding area, and kayaked the river. We enjoyed the vistas off the deck. Everything was in working order and in good shape.

Family Time

The house was perfect for the family to get reconnected -- we fished (caught 3), biked, walked, and relaxed in the sun. One day was rainy so we stayed in made cookies and played games! It was just what we needed to escape the day to day duties. The house had everything we needed (thank you!) and was nice and clean.Thanks for providing such an up to date, and warm and welcoming home.

LOVED THE BIG RIVER HOUSE

The home is very unique. We needed River Frontage and boy we got it. While it is not right on the River Bank it is set back in the woods with a Canal to the river. This allowed us to rent a raft in Bend, drop it at the LaPine State Rec Park up river, and drift 4 hours plus back a beautiful section of river without a rapid to worry about and fish and soak up the sun! When we got home we paddled into the canal and the Raft sat safely and quietly in the canal. The Next day we paddled out to the Current, caught the River another 2-3 hours down to SunRiver Marina and pulled out there! This was the perfect trip! We fished a lot and hit several lakes. The main fish we caught were in front of the home on the River sitting on the Bench! Took those nice Rainbow up and BBQ them on the Deck while watching Squirrels, Deer, and Birds galore play in the big yard. The home is lovely. The Pics do not do it justice! Plenty of room for everyone and so close to everything. Oh also we rode bikes and this home is in a perfect spot for riding as well. We caught the High Desert Museum and the Lava Tube Cave both a 20 minute drive from the Home and not to be missed. We will be back! You can bet on that and our family rates this home a Super Value! Thank you Tammy and Todd for letting us staying at your wonderful house on the Big River!!! It was more than we expected and so peaceful and quiet! The house was fully furnished with every and any miscellaneous item that a house would be equipped with. From space heaters in every room if needed, to spices in the kitchen to make our meals yummy! We loved the bench by the river, the wireless internet access, the TV's in each room, the warmth of the pot belly stove, the design of bears, trees and moose around the entire house. It was definitely a home away from home. There were lots of steps, a mobile home next door, and the house was cold when we arrived however, the heater worked immediately when turned on. None of that affected our amazing experience! Thank you again! Peacefully, Bobbi, Denny, Randall and Anais.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My 15-year-old son, my mother and my sister and I stayed here during the Pacific Crest Sports Weekend 2011 and we had a great time. The house was so peaceful and relaxing with the beautiful river view. It is very nicely decorated and furnished with a fun outdoors theme. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
