The compound consists of two homes, sharing 50 forested acres. The homes are around 100 yards apart, with good visual privacy from each other. There are well-defined hiking trails throughout the property. Driveway to house is steep, narrow and long, but in good condition. Starlight is a contemporary home, once featured in Architectural Digest, custom-designed with unique and luxurious materials. From the entry hall, the semi-formal dining room seats eight, opens to a large deck with outdoor dining, and is partially open to the sunken living room. The kitchen is immediately adjacent, with a small breakfast nook overlooking the living room. A short hall leads to two bedrooms, with adjoining door between. Upstairs, there's a loft office area and an enclosed master bedroom suite, both with access to a deck, and a ladder/stair to a rooftop loft bedroom (with the best view in the house). A large front porch runs the length of the house, leading to a set of steps to the hillside hot tub. Close to the house, there's a detatched game room. Starbright (~2200sf) is a former barn, converted to a spacious, high-end open-space plan featuring exotic art and artifacts from all over the world. The great room has three areas, one centered on the television with a queen sleeper, one centered on the woodstove, and another centered on a large dining set for formal dining, all open to the kitchen. Off the main living space, there's a short hall with a half bath, a full bath, and three bedrooms. At the rear of the house, there's a hot tub on deck.
Your well-behaved dog is welcome. Dogs under 25 pounds only.
Cleaning $270, 11% tax on rent and cleaning, $75 non-refundable security protection.
