Island Features: Seaside Cottages is a 20-minute drive from Deadman's Cay airport in Long Island’s capital settlement, Clarence Town. The trip serves as a mini tour through many of the island’s settlements. You will be impressed not only by the sheer beauty of the island but its helpful and friendly people.

You are conveniently located within a short walk to town which hosts native restaurants like Outer Edge Grill, Winter Haven, Le Pon and Oasis Bakery which features the tastes of the islands. Shop for souvenirs and uncover a variety of handmade Bahamian treasures. A clinic is situated within a minute’s walk from Seaside Cottages. Flying Fish Marina is an 18-slip marina which is home to many luxury yachts and is a short walk away from Seaside Cottages.

Dear Sarah and Carlos: Just a note to say Thank You both so much for making our week on Long Island such a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seaside Cottages and look forward to another perhaps longer visit in the future. You have such a lovely setting; long walks on the beach, shells, the sound of the waves and the view was magnificent. The location of the cottage was great, so close to sights like Deans Blue Hole, the pools at Bonacore and it wasn't all that far from Gordon's Beach which was gorgeous, definitely worth the drive. The 2 bedroom cottage itself was so cozy, clean and comfortable, with absolutely everything anyone could possibly need. Now that we know where to find almost everything on the island, next time we'll definitely use the barbecue. Thanks also for helping us with the car rental, which was an absolute necessity and worked out great! Thank you Carlos for picking us up and returning us to the airport. That was so considerate of you and made our first visit much easier. You are both wonderful people and we look forward to seeing you again. Seaside Cottages and Long Island Bahamas was a wonderful choice for us. The island itself is very laid back and not commercialized; the local people are very friendly. A car rental is a must to see this island. The 2 bedroom cottage is cozy, clean and comfortable with absolutely everything anyone could possibly need. Sit on the back porch with your coffee, enjoy the magnificent view, watch the ever-changing moods of the Atlantic right at the end of the well kept yard. Long walks on the lovely beach, shells galore, a very private, quiet setting. Walk to the Flying Fish Marina/ Outer Edge Bar & Grill. Short drive to snorkel Deans Blue Hole (lots of fish), the pools at Bonacore and a 20 min. drive to Gordons Beach which is gorgeous and definitely worth the drive. This isn't the island for those travellers seeking an active night life or shopping. Lots of small grocery & liquor stores and that's about it. I have had the pleasure of being a guest at Seaside Cottage for five consecutive vacations. I continue to return to Carlos and Sarah's guest cottage for many reasons. The location is of prime consideration to me. Being right on the ocean with a sandy beach and an adjacent rocky reef offers excellent surf casting results. Preparing freshly caught snapper and grouper on the grille for family or friends is very rewarding. A five minute walk will bring you to two great restaurants, a first class marina or a visit to two historical churches. A short drive to an excellent bakery, grocery stores, the world famous Dean's Blue Hole and Cartwright's caves. A phone call to Ernest and you will experience a tour of the Island and a great day of fun and laughter. The location offers a nice village atmosphere with the advantage of privacy. Plenty of room for guests with a very comfortable 2nd bedroom. Carlos and Sarah are the ultimate hosts living nearby and ready to take care of any need that may arise and I am happy to say are part of my Bahamian family that I look forward to seeing every winter.Owner response: Bob thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! $900 week/2-4 adults. If traveling with a larger group, an additional cottage is available for booking. The weekly rate is an additional $900. Rates are often negotiable when booking within 30 days of arrival date or when booking a large group.
Reservations confirmed with a receipt of a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Certified bank check, money order, or wire transfer are accepted.
Balance of money needs to be received 30 days prior to arrival date.
Full deposit returned if cancellation is 60 days or more before reservation date. Less than 60 days no refund available.
