  On a spur of the moment decision, I contacted the owner to ask if this villa was available to rent out for the upcoming weekend. To my luck it was. The owner was courteous and we quickly got the needed documents completed. When we arrived to the villa, parking was the only issue to contend with (and why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5). I was able to get somewhat close to unload our luggage. The villa itself is very nice. It was clean, furnished nicely, and views out the kitchen and living room windows of the ocean and wharf. I think it was literally 10 steps to the sand itself. My 70 year old Mother was comfortable and could get around easily. She would have liked to have a secure handle to hold onto in the shower though she said. I also had my 2 year old daughter with me. If my husband had been with us, he'd probably be uncomfortable as he's 6' 7" and the bed would've been too small, the shower too small, and the ceiling too most likely. The ability to easily get to the beach was perfect! We bought groceries and ate in for most of the meals. Everything is there for you from plates to silverware, pots, toaster, coffee maker, etc. I do recommend the owners replace the pots/frying pans as they are pretty worn out. Oh, and directions on how to use the DVD player would be nice too. We could never figure out how to use it while there. It was lovely to hear the music out on the wharf from our villa during the day. Was super convenient to walk into town to leisure shop, or eat at one of the many great restaurants. I highly recommend Shadowbrook restaurant for fine dining! I found parking most of the time up the hill on Cliff Drive. It only took me about 5 minutes to walk back to the villa. However, I would have to pick my Mother up at the bottom of the hill whenever we were going anywhere as she couldn't walk very far, or uphill. We were allowed to use a parking pass to bypass the normal 2 hour only rules on most of the parking spots which helped. Once you're done with your parking fiasco though, being at the villa and on the beach is priceless! I suggest when you get there, try to just leave your car in one spot the entire time and walk/bike ride everywhere you need to go.

Our Guests do receive a Special VIP Parking Pass that enables 24/7 Free Parking through out the Capitola Village including Wharf Road just outside the Venitian Properties. There is no need to pay meters, park outside the Village area nor up the hill. Parking privilages are explained on your Special Parking Pass for your convenience. Upon Check-in and Check-out use the easy access loading area located in front of the Wharf and Venetian Beach Front just steps from the Villa.   My family has spent the past 8 summer in Capitola as our vacation get away. We are very familiar with the Venetian and decided to "splurge" and stay at this condo, This was by far the best choice we could have made. The location and convenience to the beach with children was wonderful. The condo was stylish and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was furnished INCLUDING beach toys for the kids. The view is stunning and everything about this stay was wonderful. This is my first experience with owners vs. property management and I loved the personal attention that we received by Jeri and Bob WHO were both super. We look forward to staying again next summer!

  The beach views and instant access (two steps from the front door) make this the absolutley best property in Capitola. The space is updated and super cozy. For a family of 4, the sleeping space was a little tight and requires you to use a fold-out sofa in the living room, but that was the only drawback. The living room and dining room area was spacious and provided plenty of room for relaxing while taking in the spectacular views of the beach and ocean.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  pictures do not do justice! beautifully decorated & well appointed. literally a 2 minute walk to downtown, waterfront restaurants & shops. The convenience of literally being right on the beach with 2 small childern (toddler & infant) really was unbeatable. both Bob & Jeri were a pleasure to work with.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  Perfect location for stay with grandchildren ages 4 and 7....very family oriented....quiet & friendly....minutes from restaurants and fun shopping...not just touristy t-shirts and rowdy crowd downing too many beers....hosts were accomodating in every sense...place comfortable with 2-4 adults and 2 children...its the beach!! Great food, priced reasonably.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
