  It's beautifully decorated, with lots of attention to details.When we arrived, Adrienne & Jack had left us a sweet welcome basket with a personal card, green apples, and three lovely and delicious baked loaves of sweet bread. Tranquility Base is located in a really quiet part of Lake Hartwell, yet just about a few miles from town. Hart Park is even closer. The basement has a large flat screen tv and is a great place for card or board games and dominoes. It's right on the water--just a 500 foot walk down to the dock. The dock is great for swimming or fishing--it was too cold for swimming this time, but my husband and little girl spent every morning on the dock catching fish. Meanwhile, I sat on their wonderfully peaceful screened in deck reading and writing. In the evenings, we cooked s'mores over the fire pit, which made it feel just like camping but without the tents, animals, and sleeping on hard ground! it was blissful and exactly what we needed for a quick family getaway. Thanks so much for making our family vacation so wonderful! We definitely plan on returning and would recommend Tranquility Base to family, friends, or strangers.

  A truly relaxing home with great views of the lake. Very clean and the pictures really don't do justice to the home. Our family enjoyed all of the amenities of the home and would recommend it to family and friends. A great location both on and off the water. The owners were wonderful to work with, prompt, and courteous.

  This is by far one of the best rentals we have found for our group of families! The home was clean and well represented by the description found online. The addition of the 2nd refrigerator downstairs was super helpful, too, for drinks and snacks for the kids. The owners were great to work with, very prompt with all communication, and even left us a welcome basket! So sweet! The paved sidewalk to the lake was great for our little ones and the water/dock area worked great for swimming, boating, and fishing for the kids. This is a great house and we would definitely recommend it!

  Our family just enjoyed a nice long weekend at Tranquility Base. Over the past 10 years we have rented countless houses on NE Georgia and South Carolina lakes and this is one of our favorites. This was our second stay at this house and we hope to come back next summer. All the things you look for in a lake rental are here. Location is great. Grocery store, restaurants, etc. are less than 10 minutes away. Location on lake is good too. Nice quiet cove for safe swimming and floating right off of dock. 2 slip covered dock is large, has power, and has a single jet ski dock too. House was nice and clean when we arrived. All the sofas, chairs, and beds are really comfortable and well maintained. Kitchen was very well stocked. We forgot a few little things but always seemed to find that it was stocked in pantry or a cabinet. Nice. Morning coffee and breakfast on the large screened porch was a big hit. Really nice gathering place with lake view and some of the most comfortable porch chairs ever. Basement den is huge and has more comfy sofas and it's own refrigerator. Was a great place for all of us to watch college football. Owners of house are easy to contact and were attentive to all our needs. Would definitely recommend this house to friends and family.

  My family stayed at this home for a week in August. The owners take pride in their home and do everything possible to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The house is very well stocked with everything you need. They provided more amenities then other properties I have rented (which is quite a few homes). We really liked the location of the home on the lake. It was very easy to launch our boat and the marina is very close by. I would definitely recommend this property and I hope that I will be able to come back again next year.

  This vacation home was just lovely, very comfortable. The location on Lake Hartwell was incredible as well. The home owners were wonderful to work with and very accommodating. We've rented lake homes around GA and NC for the last several summers for our family, and this was our favorite. We'll definitely return!

  Tranquility Base is amazing home with lot of amenities. The bedroom are all very spacious and the beds are quite comfortable!! The two living areas make it great for the adults and the children! The no wake cove leaves nothing for you to do but relax!! This home is convenient to everything! The owners, Jack and Adrienne, make you feel right at home and Jack even called to make it sure we made it safe and to wish us a great week!!

  We stayed at Tranquility Base over a long long weekend and had a great time. The house had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the house was very clean. Nice arrangement with a very friendly neighbor for a rental boat. The boat dock is fun to hang around and swim at the cove. Absolutely fantastic destination. Highly recommended. Will be back.

  Tranquility Base was the perfect location for our Memorial Week vacation. The home is so close to a grocery store, Walmart and a great location on the lake between open, big water and the Hartwell Marina. The layout of the house was great - worked really well for my party and a screened porch was a nice extra. Jack & Adrienne were great to work with - left us a basket of homemade goodies to start our visit off with a smile on our faces. We loved having the second refrigerator downstairs - we made good use of it! It was an added bonus to have the playard and highchair for our little the day he was there. I did not find there was anything we needed that Jack & Adrienne had not already provided. We rented the boat from Jerry & Sue next door (great people - we enjoyed meeting and visiting with them. Jerry also had lots of tidbits he shared with us regarding Lake Hartwell, fishing from the dock and having an opportunity to see deer). It made this the idea home to rent and have a boat to enjoy everthing Lake Hartwell offers. The dock was great and made it so convenient to have the boat there; Jack even had a pump to blow up the towables. Everything was just perfect! We hope to be able to spend Memorial Week 2013 here. You will not regret booking a stay at Tranquility Base, it really is tranquil and serene!

  ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We can't express our gratitude for Jack. We had scheduled another VRBO that was the worst (two different locations) experience possible. We were stuck with four teenagers, boat, full coolers, and no place to go. Our luck changed when Jack came to the rescue and allowed us to us his home on a no-notice request. This home was everything and more as listed on the website. We even brought the rain but it did not damper our spirits due to the home, lake access, and truly the tranquility. Great place for tubing, fishing (five catfish off the dock...none from the boat), and docking your boat. We love Lake Hartwell because it is quiet and uncrowded. Now we will only stay at Tranquility Base.
