We had an excellent time at this house! The walk out to the sand beach and excellent fishing steps from the house is excellent for our young children. We hope to enjoy this annually for years to come!Recommended for: Families with young children.

Our family loved staying at this log home. It was clean, beautifully decorated and we felt like we were at a spa. Our children enjoyed swimming and fishing in the little lake in the back yard. The wooded views out the windows were spectacular and we even saw a rainbow after it rained. We had a wonderful experience and hope to come back next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

4 adults and 5 children spent a relaxing and fun-filled week in this beautiful home. The kids loved swimming and fishing in the small lake out back, and we enjoyed many of the activities the Dells offers as it's only about 20 minutes away. We enjoyed eating at several restaurants overlooking Castle Rock Lake. This home is spacious and comfortable. John is very helpful in answering your questions about the home and the area. We would highly recommend staying here; you won't be disappointed.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This house was wonderful! We had 12 people staying there with absolutely no problem. We loved the very modern kitchen, it was very easy to cook in and there was plenty of room to put the week's food away. It was very clean and seemed to be very new. Having coffee in the morning out on the deck was a treat. We saw deer several times. Our kids played in the sand and the lake a lot. They even fished and caught (and released) several fish. We were close enough to the grocery store to make trips for forgotten items, but there wasn't any noise from traffic or neighbors. Our only "complaints" were that we got ticks when we went to the state park and the boat rental places near-by didn't have anything for us to rent. We drove to Lake Delton, though and it was only about a half an hour away. We ate at a place called Ravina. It overlooked the bay where the Tommy Bartlett Water Show takes place. The food was good and we could watch the show. We had a great time there. We would love to go back again next year! We hope it will be available.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our extended Wisconsin family gathers for a reunion in Tomah every summer and 14 of us have spent the week of the reunion at John's place for the past 2 years. The house is beautiful with a scenic view of the pond. The little fish in the pond are very hungry. We rent a pontoon and two kayaks to fish and tube on Castle Rock lake. The dock on Castle Rock is about a 3 block walk from the house and on a shallow cove. Overall, we've been very happy with the roominess, cleanliness and the ease of rental. I highly recommend it!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: We built this rental home in 2009 after enjoying the area for over 10 years. We have our vacation home down the street and take a personal interest in ensuring each and every one of our renters enjoy our home and the area. My wife and I have 2 kids that have grown up enjoying both the summer and winter activities available in the area and are confident you will also love the Castle Rock Lake area.
Why the Owner Chose Castle Rock Lake:
We built this rental in 2009 knowing there was opportunity to meet a demand for rental homes in this beautiful area. There is never a shortage of things to do in the Castle Rock Lake Area as there are unlimited activities in both the summer and winter.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Our home allows you to step right out to your own private sandy beach lake. If you are interested in boating, there is a boat dock available on Castle Rock Lake that allows you to explore and enjoy the 4th largest lake in WI. In winter, there are snowmobile trails out your door and there are 2 ski and sledding hills within 45 min. Lastly, our property is approximately 25 min from the Dells which offers plenty of attractions and entertainment for your enjoyment.
