We enjoyed a month-long stay in this comfortable apartment with a great location and a spectacular view of downtown metro Portland. It was well furnished and had a great remote-controlled gas fireplace to take off the morning chill. Lee Anne (owner) was very gracious and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again when we re-visit our daughter & family who live nearby.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed here in early June during a visit to our adult children. This is so much better than staying with family or any hotel. This place is very comfortable, cozy, and fully equipped. It really was a privilege to stay here. It's a nice place to come back to every evening. Thank you Lee Anne!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My husband and I had a 5 day weekend so decided to go to Portland for a get away. The apartment was very welcoming and a great place to relax. We could walk to the park, restaurants and the metro to catch the train down town. The owner has supplied alot of resources for getting around the city with maps and books with city hikes, all of which were very useful. We had a fresh bouquet of flowers and a bowl of fruit on our table when we arrived. After each outing we came back to a warm fire in the fireplace. We both had a great time. Thanks Lee Anne for sharing your placeRecommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed in this great apartment for two months while we transitioned to our new life in Portland, and couldn't have asked for anything more. It had everything we needed to make it our new (temporary) home, from a shelf full of books to a well-supplied kitchen, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! The view from the patio was a delight in every weather, and the blackberries and kiwiberries in the garden were a special treat. The host, Lee Anne, was gracious and kind, never in the way but always there if you needed her. Close to the gorgeous Mt. Tabor park with a great playground for our son, and just up the hill from a variety of cafes and restaurants -- this place was a top-notch location for exploring and finding everything we needed. We miss it!Recommended for: Families with young children.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely apartment for six weeks and found it to be extremely comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we could need. The unobscured view of the Portland skyline from the living room and private patio provided us with a relaxed setting, especially when lit up at night. We made full use of the proximity to lushly wooded Mt. Tabor park for hiking, as well as for attending summer concerts. The neighborhood itself is a charming setting for taking walks. Public transportation is close and easy to use. In addition, the host, Lee Anne, is gracious and receptive to any request. She's a helpful resource, always eager to meet our needs without being in the least intrusive. For future trips to Portland, we'll be checking with Lee Anne first for the availability of her wonderful apartment.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We were looking for accommodations closer in to the City and worried about not being too far out. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this neighborhood and this vacation home. The Owner who greeted us at check-in was very warm. This place has a lot of little settle details that make this place stand out more that the rest. We previously rented places in Belmont and NW 23rd, and found the furnishings and attention to detail was far better here... The Owner was also kind enough to let us stay with two little ones. It is great that the park is so close and convenient for us to get out and play.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My one month stay at this aprtment was very enjoyable and very comfortable. It is in the Mt. Tabor neighhood, quiet and safe, and close to everything. I was so pleased to walk in and admire the Portland skyline from my patio and enter into a very clean apartment that has modern updates and accents. Gas burning fireplace with remote control. What a Bathroom and shower! Beautiful! Kitchen is supplied with everything you may need. Lee Anne and Bob are warm and gracious hosts who provided me with all the information on restaurants nearrby and in the city. You will not find a nicer place to stay and so conveniently located. If you hike and bike, Mt. Tabor park is within walking distance. Very close to local shops & restaurants on Stark street and also to Fred Meyer grocery. Convenient laundry. Warm and cozy and the bed is very comfortable. Best rest I've had in months! This is the place you are looking for!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for a week in mid October 2010 and we loved it. Both Lee Anne and Bob are very nice hosts and had some treats for us even before we arrived at the apartment (my wife loved the wine and cheese). The place is spacious and very clean and we both liked the location in the residential suburb of Mt. Tabor. Lee Anne and Bob were both helpful with suggestions on places to see and things to do. Portland is a nice city that is easy to get around (the apartment is a short walk to the bus stop) and the apartment is close to some nice cafes and restaurants. Nice apartment, clean and great rates. Highly recommended for anyone considering a place to stay in Portland. Also highly recommended is a trip to Powell's books. If you are a book lover, Powell's won't disappoint.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.
