The backyard is truly a Palapa Paradise…..with a new pebble-tec pool, including swim jets at the deep end, large tanning shelf at the shallow end and 4 waterfalls. EXTRA LARGE swim up spa, which can be heated separately and fairly quickly, has 4 built in bar stools and bench seating to accommodate a dozen people. Spa stools enjoy a large stone counter top which integrates it with the outdoor kitchen area with 3 bar stools on the other side of the counter. How fun it is to play a game of cards or eat with half of the people inside the pool and the other half outside! Outdoor kitchen includes TOP OF THE LINE Fire Magic BBQ with accessories, teppanyaki grill, 2 burner stove, sink with hot water heater, refrigerator, Alfresco built in food serving trays which can be cooled or heated and Fire Magic cabinets and drawers for storage. HDTV and Stereo Speakers are mounted under the extra large Palapa which covers the entire kitchen area. The Palapa has a ceiling fan/light fixture installed in the middle and has additional lighting surrounding it with a complete commercial misting system covering the exterior of the palapa. Additional misters are strung along the exterior of the majority of the roof line of the back patio to provide cooling during the summer and warm fall and spring days. When we arrived at Palapo Paradise, we were happy to see that the house was just as described and the location couldn't have been better. The master bedroom and turquoise room have wonderful mattresses and the softest bedding! The kitchen is the most well appointed we have every seen in a rental - there was everything you could ask for, even for baking. The décor was lovely and the whole house was well kept and clean. We were not sure about the pool table at first, but ended up using it far more than we had thought. The outside kitchen with t.v. and radio was far superior to a bare backyard and we loved the pool and huge spa. I found the waterfalls quite loud when in the backyard, but no one else did. We had company from time to time and there was room for everyone and all enjoyed the surround sound and big screen t.v. in the livingroom. Laura and Mark were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions and concerns and the only reason I would not recommend this house to others is I would hate to have it unavailable to us in the years to come.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: My husband, Mark, our 2 children and I chose to purchase a home in La Quinta in September 2006 after we came for a one week vacation and fell absolutely in love with the desert, the beautiful mountains surrounding it and the fabulous golf courses! We have another home in the mountains where we live full-time and are very grateful to be able to have 2 homes in such wonderful places! We sell real estate in both the mountain communities and the desert and have been in the real estate industry now for over 25 years. We still have 2 children living at home and 1 older child who lives in the San Joaquin Valley and visits frequently. We have 2 golden retrievers, Dexter and Roxie, who travel with us everywhere we go. The dogs also love La Quinta's weather in the winter time.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have worked so hard to turn our home into a true vacation paradise. We like the feeling of being on vacation while we are there without the need to go anywhere else. In the summer of 2008, we designed our backyard with the intention of spending as much time as possible outside. The spa was constructed large enough to accommodate 2 to 3 floating rafts which we enjoy using as a small pool in the winter since it only takes an hour or two at the most to heat to a comfortable temperature. On those beautiful winter days, we either sit on the built in spa stools or float on a raft while drinking margaritas and watching our favorite sporting event or movie on the flat screen t.v. under the palapa. The living room, kitchen, dining room and master bedroom flow so nicely to the back yard which makes entertaining and family get togethers so much fun. With the addition of the Billiard Room right off of the kitchen, it is truly a fun home with a great open space. We have created a tropical/desert like atmosphere which is entertaining inside and out. We absolutely love it and are happy to see other people enjoy it too!
