Casa Pina is an apartment of 50 square meters (about 538 square feet), for four people, with private enclosed garden of 70 square meters (about 750 square feet) and use of a swimming pool. The entire apartment is on the ground floor, and is part of a cottage surrounded by green space. It is part of a farming estate located on a low hillside (200 meters, or about 656 feet, above sea level), situated in the heart of the Crete Senese, 4 km (about 2.5 miles) from Terme di Rapolano, 20 km (about 12.5 miles) from Chianti, 30 km (about 17.5 miles) from Siena and 90 km (about 56 miles) from Florence. It is equipped with winter heating.

The bathroom is equipped for the disabled. The kitchen area is equipped with four-burner cooker, oven and refrigerator. In the living room, there is satellite television.
From the house, you can reach the private garden through a glass door. Here, you will find table and chairs, deck-chairs for sunbathing, vases of flowers and a lovely lawn. The garden is fenced, and your children will be able to play there in peace. You will have a laundry room at your disposition.
The swimming pool
Available for your use is a beautiful pool surrounded by the lawn. Around the pool you will find deck-chairs and umbrellas. The pool is shared among the guests of the other four small apartments. It is open from June 1 until September 30.
Stretched out by the pool, you will be able to enjoy a beautiful and expansive view of the gentle hills that surround you.
At Casa Pina, you will spend your vacation in an historic and fascinating location. A few steps away from the house, there is a large Etruscan tomb, dug into the travertine stone which is abundant in the underground.
Casa Pina is one of five apartments which have been restored and which make up part of a farming estate, at the heart of which is an historic medieval mill.
This ancient stone building has been restored with love and respect for its original form, and is lovely to look at, standing alone and surrounded by greenery. Inside, there was a small mill-wheel, which was activated by one of the thermal springs with which this area is so richly endowed.
Not far from here there is the one-story building in which Casa Pina is located.
Surrounding the entire complex you will find a beautiful lawn, divided by narrow stone pathways that cut across the greenery, and ornamented with urns overflowing with red geraniums. On this lawn, here and there, you will find on display some of the antique tools of "contadina" (peasant) life.
Available for use by all the guests, you will find a barbecue and a wood-burning oven, playground equipment for the children, and 3000 square meters (about 3230 square feet) of green space.
The farm practices organic agriculture, and you can buy extra-virgin olive oil, wine, vegetables and fruit on the premises.
Also available for your use is a wine cellar, equipped with an Internet connection and stereo system. In this room, the proprietors offer complimentary wine tastings. In particular, on Mondays you can participate in a series of wine tastings.
The proprietors live on the property, and will graciously make themselves available to you to provide information about tourist attractions, or to help meet whatever various needs you may have.
You will be spending your vacation in the middle of one of the most characteristic and often-photographed regions of Tuscany, an area that extends from Siena to Montalcino. You will be able to gaze across a stretch of gentle clay hills, which in springtime are resplendent with the various green tints of the pastures or of cultivated grains, and cloaked in summertime with myriad shades of gold and of ochre.
Where the grain ends, the vineyards begin, most notably in the zone of Montalcino, famous for the Brunello wines that are produced there. And at the summit of practically every hill, you will find rows of small, slender, dark-green cypress trees, rural houses, churches and ancient fortifications, as well as medieval villages marked by the tall, distant spikes of their towers.
Casa Pina is equipped with a parking space and with winter heating. It is possible to rent bicycles.
At Casa Pina, your pets will also be welcome.
