Destiny Villa

Offering some of the most dramatic views in the Caribbean, Destiny overlooks the Great River Valley, the Caribbean Sea, and Montego Bay. The entrance leading up to Destiny is lined with hibiscus and flowering trees and the cobblestone courtyard features a symbol of the sun laid out in black stone. A massive abstract painting of a beautiful halliconia flower greets you at the front door, where your Destiny adventure begins. A spectacular 150 foot corridor will take your eyes past huge arches to an expansive view of the sea, Montego Bay and the Great River Valley. When you turn the corner and enter the living room, your eye is taken directly to the distant sea and you feel you are one with the water. The living room is comfortably laid out for seating 12 or more people with glove leather sofas and chairs surrounding a marble coffee table. The living area also serves as the main dining room with a table that can seat 10 comfortable in hand carved Jamaica chairs. Lounge chairs surround the large infinity pool and alfresco dining can be enjoyed at a second dining pavilion that can seat 8. A wonderful CD music system carries your favorite sounds from multiple speakers across the full living areas and into the pool. At the east end of the main living area is the spacious thatch roof bar and entertainment area. It overlooks the River Valley and its rusticity contrasts beautifully with the clean, powerful lines of the architecture of the house. A beautiful kitchen complete with a commercial burner stove, refrigerator, ovens, microwave oven and granite countertops is staffed with a superb chef who can prepare fine continental cuisine as well as local favorites. Dining is a treasured experience at Destiny. The Master bedroom is on the second level and has a beautifully carved king size bed . A light mosquito net floats over the white carved bed. The room has its own separate and private lounge and dining area with wonderful views of the sea and Montego Bay. The bath has a marble walk in shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 open directly to the main pool. You can sit in bed and look through the massive arches directly to the pool and the Caribbean Sea. Each bedroom contains a King Size Bed and large tropical paintings The marble walled shower complements these fine suites. The Owner’s suite has an unsurpassed magic combining ample space, breathtaking views of the River Valley. It features its’ own seating area with a baby grand piano, a private infinity edge pool lined with green stone imported from Bali with a three sided glass infinity edge. The huge king sized bed has been beautifully carved in Jamaica. The amenities include a huge indoor shower with marble sided walls and louvered windows looking out at the private pool and the valley. There is also a private outdoor shower amidst lush foliage and located next to a small fishpond and fountain. Down below this suite is a mediation pavilion and exercise area, 16’x16’, with hardwood floors suspended out over the valley. It is a wonderful place to spend early mornings or to have a glass of wine at sunset.
