Keauhou Punahele condo description
Our family over the years have taken away precious memories of the Big Island lifestyle, the picturesque sunsets and sharing stories while sipping Mai Tai's and grilling fresh locally caught Mahi Mahi on the barbecue (I can taste it now). The combination of the ocean breeze, the Kona coffee brewing in the pot, and our little friends, the song birds, create a serene sound scape. What better way to start your day!
There is something to be said about the people of Kona. We always feel so welcome and have made friendships over the years that we cherish. Life moves just a little slower on the island giving you time to literally to stop and smell the flowers.
Now my friends it is time for our family to share this experience with you. We have taken the time to ensure that your stay will be pleasant, comfortable and worry free. We have recently completed our high-end remodel designing with a tropical elegance to create those special touches throughout the entire home from beautiful art to elegant and contemporary furnishings.

Our two bedroom Condo home has 1200 sq ft on the second floor with a 30’ Private Lanai over looking the Pacific Blue Ocean and the Kona Country Club's lush green beach-side golf course. Wonderful condo in Paradise!
Wonderful condo in Paradise!
As I reviewed the description of this condo when deciding to book our stay, I wondered if it was all true and the pictures would be accurate. I can now report that it is and they are!!! We truly enjoyed our two weeks at Keauhou Bay. The condo is lovely, very well furnished and maintained, with a well stocked kitchen. The owners were very accommodating in working with us to fit our stay to a time we could use our frequent flyer miles for our flights. All questions were promptly and courteously answered by the owners before and during our stay and by their local manager, Heidi. My sister and a friend stayed with us for one week and they also loved it. Their favorite part was a helicopter ride over the island - a wonderful experience where you can see things not accessible by car. A relatively new restaurant at the Keauhou shopping center is Sam Choys and we had a very nice dinner with a wonderful view there. The golf course currently is closed for renovations and is scheduled to reopen in spring 2014, but we are not golfers anyway. We highly recommend this condo, especially for anyone who has trouble with stairs because it is on the parking lot level. We definitely will try to stay at this condo again on our next trip to Kona.

We recently spent a month in this unit and it was delightful. The location was ideal; being up on the hill there were wonderful breezes all the itme. What a treat to sleep with the wondows open in January! Being right on the golf couse was really a plus. The view of the ocean and sound of the surf was a treat. We loved being able to walk right into the unit with no steps, yet it was on the second level so that we could leave our screen doors open to the lanai all the time and had better air flow and view. The size was perfect as well, it was very comfortable for the two of us and also accomadated visiting family for part of the time. The furnishings were very nice and the kitchen had been recently updated and was convenient and well stocked with utensils. It was great to be able to deal right with the owner rather than a real estate agency and there is a local person to contact for any immediate concerns. We would certainly recommend this unit to others and hope we can visit again soon.

Small Piece of Paradise
Small Piece of Paradise
This was my wife's and my second stay at Chance and JM's condo in Kailua-Kona and it was every bit as wonderful as when we first stayed there in 2011. This time we had friends join us for 10 days and the condo was totally comfortable with two adult couples staying there. The kitchen is beautifully equipped and many nights we stayed home and cooked freshly caught, sushi grade Ahi tuna. And the condo was spacious enough to not feel like the couples were living in one another's pockets. Further more - it was beautiful and quiet. You rarely hear your neighbours (other than your bird neighbours) even though the complex was very full. AND ... its the Big Island of Hawaii!!! There is so much to explore and do on the island that having a comfortable bed to collapse into at the end of each adventurous day is a blessing. As is dealing with Chance and JM. All our questions were quickly answered and we never had a problem that they did not straightened out immediately. They are wonderful folks and this is a wonderful place to go.We will be back as soon as we are able to make another reservation..

The perfect vacation spot in Kona
The perfect vacation spot in Kona
The apartment was all that was advertised. The decor was tasteful and warm. The kitchen was very well furnished and the terrace had very confy furniture and a good grill. The community pool was very nice and never crowded. The location was perfect with a great shopping center with restaurants, movie theaters, Supermarket,Longs drugs and restaurants. A decent famersmarket was held on Sundays and Wednesday. Nice beaches and restaurants were not far away. We wold recommend this apartment to our best friends

Nice home walking distance to Keauhou Canoe Club
Nice home walking distance to Keauhou Canoe Club
The location was great, the home was very comfortable and clean. It was nice to be able to walk to the ocean and along the coast. The Keauhou Canoe Club was close by which gave at least one of us ample opportunity to enjoy some outrigger canoeing as a guest. Driving to downtown was quickly accomplished as well. We enjoyed the amenities of the home, especially the BBQ. I would certainly recommend this home for a visit. Be sure to check out all the farmer's markets. Second Sunday takes up most of Alii Drive. Restaurant, Jackie Rey's, has awesome food and is not too far away. Thanks for sharing your home.

ALL WE CAN SAY IS WOW!
ALL WE CAN SAY IS WOW!
All we can say is Wow! From the moment we walked into this home until the day we flew out, we could not imagine staying anywhere else. The owners left a box of Chocolate-Covered Macadamia Nuts on the table, I will just say that they were thoroughly enjoyed! This Condo is beautiful, the choice of colors, the art, the furniture, bedrooms, bathrooms, everything. My wife actually took pictures, she told me she now wants to remodel our home as well, that's the only bad news....The owners provided some local brochures and maps, thankfully they were very helpful. Keauhou Bay is just a stones throw away and is probably one on the most peaceful areas I have ever seen. Beaches are very close, and the snorkeling is only comparable to the Caribbean. We are telling all of our friends "Don't stay anywhere else on the Big Island"!!!

Perfect in every way!
Perfect in every way!
I stayed in this condo right after the owners finished their remodel and was very impressed with the result. Elegant, classy, beautiful, and comfortable all at the same time. The condo provides every necessity and amenity and the place just makes you feel like you're in a million-dollar penthouse. I especially enjoyed the convenience of being on the ground level on the side you enter from,, but then you're on the second floor on the deck side which gives you a spectacular view. And its only about two blocks from the Kona Country Club, which has 2 spectacular 18-hole courses, so if you're a golfer, it couldn't be better (you can wave to your friends on the condo lanai when you're on the 8th green of the Beach Course!). The location is perfect... secluded enough to be peaceful when you're relaxing on the lanai, yet close enough to shopping, beaches, night life, snorkeling, oh, and did I mention...golf! Two things I can say about my stay at this place: One is that we spent 3 days at the Hilton Waikoloa Village (which I was very impressed with! ...huge resort, swimming pools, lagoons, dolphins, etc.) and we liked this part of our stay even better. And secondly, my wife and I have been looking for a tropical place to retire (all over Hawaii, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Cabo, Florida, etc.) and this location is now the front-runner! It really is "Perfect in every way!"

Owner response: Thanks Guys, Alot of effort went into transforming our 2nd home into an inviting oasis where our guest could get away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and other cities worldwide...we have to give alot of credit to our friend Kris, a designer in LA who was instrumental in the entire concept from colors on the walls, to art specifically chosen to bring a sense of tranquility to every room. Again thank you for choosing bestkonavacation, and we hope to see you next year. Mahalo, JM
