  This was a fantastic home for our vacation. It was quiet and peaceful but just around the corner from the ocean. We could hear the dim crash of waves at tide and were just a few minutes walk from the coastline. Lots of great rocks for our kids to walk on and plenty of shells for the kids to collect! The house was a perfect size. Really nice size downstairs throughout the kitchen, dining area and living room. There was another room downstairs that provided a nice getaway to read and have some quiet time. Having this amount of space in a vacation spot is a true luxury. Upstairs featured great bedrooms. The kids took one room for themselves, which left another room for some relatives to visit for a night. And it can be so hard to find a vacation home offering a master bedroom with queen bed. Between the immediate yard and the big field right next door, we were able to enjoy plenty of outside time without having to pack up and drive to a park. We loved everything about the house - which is why we are staying there again in 2013!

  The house and property were exactly what we needed. All the adults and the dog loved it. The place had all the amenities we needed for a Thanksgiving holiday week long retreat. The area was great for walks or bike rides from right outside the door. The nearby open space/playfields were optimal for neighborhood dogs to gather and socialize. The nearby playground was for the kids to gather. On Thanksgiving day, the playfield was perfect for families to gather for tag football. While the home seems to be in a relatively remote and quiet location, we never felt too out of touch thanks to the wifi! The owners/hosts are very responsive from booking through to checkout. I would definitely return and recommend this unit to others!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  I don't think I could write a review that would give this cottage justice! Coming from out of town, we were skeptical about picking cottages in East Boothbay as we were in town for a wedding at the Spruce Point inn. The owners of the cottage were very helpful and accommodating, they were a pleasure to work with! We absolutely made the right choice! The cottage was immaculate upon arrival, stocked with everything you could possibly need including sheets, towels, kitchen appliances/pans etc., beach chairs, books & puzzles. The cottage itself was cozy and in the perfect location, just a short drive from town. You could hear the ocean, and see it through the trees. The coastline was just a few steps from the cottage and next door was a fantastic area with a swing set, tennis & basketball courts and a baseball field. The entire community was also extremely pet friendly! I would highly recommend renting this cottage!!!

  The house was very, very clean and well manintained. There were little things left for us to make the renting experience better like toillet paper, paper towel, salt, tea, plastic wrap, even trash bags! I really appriciated those items so I didn't have to go out and buy a whole container of any of them, just for a few days. The house is well funished as well with comfy chairs for reading. The beds are comfortable and it as great not to have to bring our own sheets. The piano was a great surprise! The location is secluded so while it does not really have a good view of the water, you also don't have people walking by looking at you either. I would recommend and my family liked it enough to do again.

  I have rented several different homes on and around Ocean Point and this property has definitely been the best one. The location was nice and we were close enough to the ocean to hear the waves at night. The home was clean, in good condition, and there was plenty of room for the whole family. A spacious deck was a great place to grill and hang out in nice weather. The property owners are very nice and do their best to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. I would definitely rent this home again!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing.
