  The location of the condo was perfect. The Turtle Bay Resort is only 3 minutes away and open to the general public with a beautiful beach and several bars and resturants. Condo was very quiet, nice grounds with a nice breeze

  We have a 5-year old daughter and this place was perfect. We didn't use our rental car for the first 4 days as there was enough to do within walking distance. She loved the condo pool and the grass right outside the patio doors. Be beware that you can not use the hotel facilities at all, pool, or even chairs on the beach. To do that you will need a Turtle Bay towel which you can only get if you are renting a hotel room. They enforce this strictly. No matter though as you can go to the beaches at the resort. We are avid runners and every day we'd rent a kid's bike ($15 for 2hrs from the resort) and run with our daughter for miles and miles. There are so many trails to choose from. She loved the horse ranch but was disappointed you have to be 7yrs to be able to do the beach ride. We saw turtles every day we went to the beach (2 great beaches within easy walking distance). We also saw a monk seal on the beach by the hotel. Great food stands near the hotel and well-stocked supermarkets within 10 mins. Condo was clean and spacious. Very comfy. Nice to have wifi and cable TV for the evening when kids crash. Mark's Mom was very responsive and helpful. Would rent this again in a heartbeat!

  Mark and his mom Beverly saved our vacation! We were staying at another location on Oahu which was really terrible. In desperation I found this listing and email Mark, the owner. He immediately emailed and called me. Gave us a fantastic rate too. We were able to move into the condo that afternoon. On top of it our daughter had a fierce sunburn and didn't feel well, so his mom Beverly, who is an absolute delight, got everything ready for us right away. We were able to check in early in the clean spacious condo. Unfortunately it was going to be rented later in the week, so Mark generously upgraded us to a 2 bedroom for the 2 days remaining. The amenities were perfect. Fully stocked kitchen. I'm a cook so it was great. All the beach toys including an umbrella. Beach towels, linens, everything was immaculate. The condos are quiet and very family friendly. Love the pool! I'm not much of swimmer, but our daughter couldn't get enough of the condo pool located right across the parking lot. The Turtle Bay Resort truly has the Aloha spirit. Very casual. I played 18 holes on the Fazio course, got a great rate from the guys at the pro shop. Walked around the resort, snorkeled at the beach next to the hotel. Fun to watch the surfers. You'll have to bring the beach gear unless you are staying at the hotel. Easily within walking distance of the condo even with gear. Lots of produce stands to pick up chilled sliced coconut, papaya, mango. Also recommend the botanical gardens in Waimea. Kualoa Ranch has a great buffet, lots of tourists though. We also went on the Secret Island tour which was fun and not too expensive. Highly recommend Turtle Beach which is not at the resort, but down the highway toward Waimea. Full of turtles. But please show them aloha and not get within 6 feet of them so they can come on shore to rest. Overall I can't say enough wonderful things about Mark and Beverly.

  We rented two condos for our family from different owners and this one was definitely the nicest of the two. The space was clean and uncluttered and well stocked. We come to turtle bay often and we will definitely rent this unit again. M+B from Maui.

  Mark was very professional as was Beverly. The Condo was wonderful. Full tile floors, they even had a Pack N Play Portable Crib in the closet which was great. Renting those in Hawaii can be expensive. The apartment was clean and had everything you would need to cook at home. It felt like home. Keep in mind we spent most of our time away from the apartment enjoying Hawaii and visiting family. As per the complaints; yes the couch is a bit hard, but I slept just fine on it and the bed is fine, if you want the Ritz then you may want to pay more and look in Waikiki. For the price and all that this apartment includes, it was amazing. Toilet worked just fine :P We will definitely contact mark again in the future if we ever return.

  Got a great price on our last minute booking. The condo was very clean and there were no bugs or mosquitoes to speak of. Location was definitely better than many other units and everything was in working order. Management was friendly and was there to show us in upon arrival. There was plenty of space and not too much clutter. All in all I would give it four and a half stars considering the price and service.

  The grounds were well maintained, the unit contains an uncomfortable bed and couch. You get a shelving unit to put your clothes on in the bedroom-no furniture to speak of. Great coffee maker in the kitchen. Owner's agent was scattered and not helpful. If you want to have the toilet overflow and the shower back up daily this is the place to stay-otherwise I would definetely stay somewhere else. Sorry, but no spirit of aloha here.

  Owner response: The renter claimed that the toilet overflowed one night during her stay and demanded a refund. Being that the toilet worked fine after that, and being that we couldn't even verify that it happened, a refund seemed uncalled for. Not only that, but the renter failed to vacate the unit until 7 hours past check out time. The exaggerated review is just sour grapes from someone looking for a freebie.

  Fun times. We definitely should have stayed longer. Not sure how we ended up in Waikiki for half of our trip....next year we will definitely spend it all the North Shore. Everything was great. No complaints whatsoever. We appreciated the attention to detail and the friendly service. I would recommend this condo to anyone who wants to experience true Hawaii.

  Thanks Mark. My stay here has been wonderful. I enjoyed the spaciousness of the condo and its overall design and feel. I enjoy places that aren't cluttered and so it was just what I was looking for. It was quiet and peaceful and I wouldn't change anything. The property was wonderful as well. Turtle Bay is a special place and I am sure I will be back 10 more times....at least. ;-)
