After a somewhat adventurous drive to our final destination, our first impression of Cohoba House was one of quality and grandness. We were delighted with the décor and furnishings of Cohoba House. They added immensely to the ambiance and enjoyment of our stay. Having arrived after dark, the best part was yet to come. Awakening the next morning the glorious beauty of the island was upon us. The view was spectacular! Belmont is our favorite part of Tortola. There is a great view of Jost Van Dyke and nice proximity to Cane Garden Bay, access to West End, and the incredible nearby beaches. Because of the size and ages of our group, we spent a lot of time at the house and found that family meals at the big table on the porch were the most fun and memorable. Our vacation was during Thanksgiving 2012 – imagine this setting for a Thanksgiving feast! We used the grill, kitchen, sound system, and covered porch (complete with hammock) all the time, and found that we spent almost no time in front of the TV or in other inside rooms except for sleeping. Even during infrequent rain, the porch was the place to be. All of us agreed that we would surely go back to the Cohoba House the first chance we get! Thank you for a magnificent vacation and for letting us enjoy your home in Tortola. Sincerely, the Rogers and Voorhis families.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Our family of 6 just returned from a great week staying at Cohoba House and could not be happier with our choice. Top 5 things about this villa: 1) Top of the line everything - not outfitted like a "typical" villa rental. 2) Screens on all of the windows/doors throughout house to keep out the mosquitoes and critters. 3) Cook's kitchen - it was a pleasure preparing meals here. 4) Views/Location - beautiful views from the porch & quick drive down to Soper's Hole. 5) Good communication with owner (Greg) and caretaker (Charles) The house is located about half-way up the hill in Belmont Estates with great views overlooking Belmont Pond, Long Bay, Smuggler's Cove, and JVD. It's a quick drive to the ferry dock & Soper's Hole (about 5 minutes) where there is a well-stocked market, coffee shop, a couple of restaurants, and a few shops. The house and furnitings are absolutely gorgeous - pictures do not do it justice! The main building overlooks the veranda/pool and houses the living, dining, kitchen, and master bedroom. The living room has large flat screen with satellite TV and comfortable seating. The kitchen is VERY well stocked with everything you need to prepare & serve meals (AllClad cookware, sharpened Henkels knives, nice flatware & dinnerware, top of the line GE appliances). My favorite part of cooking at the house was the adjacent indoor grilling station. What a brilliant idea! I want one! Although the grill gets used regularly, it's spotlessly clean and the grates/inside look brand new. Meals can be served outside on the porch or inside at the large dining room table. Restaurants are very expensive on Tortola. You can save yourself a ton of $ by running down to the market and preparing some of your meals at the villa. Ladies - get the guys involved - they will love using the indoor man-kitchen! The large master bedroom & bath is upstairs with a comfy mattress, great linens & towels, and comfy chairs for sitting and reading. There is a small sitting area adjacent with a futon & television. Two more master bedrooms & baths are housed in an adjacent building. Both are set up similar to the master in the main house. A fourth bedroom with queen bed & bath is located in the lower level of the main building with an outside entrance only. The laundry room is also located on this level. Special thanks to Charles for his attention to detail - he does a great job taking care of Cohoba House. We'll be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed at Cohoba House in off season (August 11-18) and had a wonderful experience. The house and views are even better in person. In August the island is not crowded and the beaches are practically empty. Restaurants were still open (although some were closing the next week). The house has everything you need with an attentive caretaker.Highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We had a superb time at Cohoba house. Stunning view while dining on the balcony, swinging on the hamac, or taking a dip in the pool. The house is spacious, well furnished, very comfortable, and decorated with taste. We loved the gourmet kitchen where I felt unlimited into my cooking techniques. we really felt home. Location of the house is perfect; you get stunning view of Smuggler and Long bay beach. short drive from our favorite Brewer's beach. Casual dining in Cane beach, just 10 minutes scenic drive. Easy to go islands hoping from west end Tortola to explore all great islands from BVI. Make sure to bring your snorkling gear and you'll get fun you'll never forget.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

After extensive searching, we chose to stay at the Cohoba house for our honeymoon this spring, and what a great decision! Greg and Anne's home is absolutely stunning. The views are outstanding in every direction, and the house is set up very well for outdoor living. I love to cook, and the kitchen literally had just about everything you could ask for. The music system was probably our favorite part of the house. Who doesn't want to lounge in the pool overlooking the surrounding islands with a cold drink and some great music? The setting of the house is completely secluded and private, but also close to Long Bay and Sopper's Hole. Belmont Estates is a great area to take long walks up around the winding, quiet roads and just take in the beauty of the island. I don't think we could have chosen a better place to stay, and the groundskeeper, Charles, is simply wonderful! We will definitely be back, but with friends in tow next time!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We just returned from a wonderful week at Cohoba House and missing it already. Cohoba is a fabulous home and our vacation on Tortola could not have been finer! The property was clean and beautiful when we arrived, and the views of the surrounding islands are some of the best on the island. The web site photos just can not capture the beauty of this place! The glass tiled pool was perfect to keep us cool all day long. The kitchen was perfect for cooking, and we enjoyed many nice dinners on the deck and veranda. The lush landscaping provided great privacy, yet we were only minutes from Sopper's Hole and many restaurants and beaches. Our party of 8 each had our separate bedroom suites, and because they were in separate buildings, we all had total privacy, while enjoying easy access to the pool and common areas. We loved this design concept, which gave us maximum flexibility. Tortola was also perfect....there is no other Caribbean island like it! The people are friendly, the dining is exceptional, and the beaches and snorkeling are the best we have ever seen. Be sure to check out Jost Van Dyke! Charles the caretaker is a sweetheart and dealing with the owner, Greg was so pleaseant. It was simply our BEST Caribbean vacation ever!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This spring we visited Cohobo House for the second time with our college-age daughter and several of her friends as our guests. The house was ideal, with lovely, large family spaces where we could all be together and equally lovely private spaces where we could have "down time." The house is wonderfully managed and beautifully appointed; I am sure if we could have thought of something we needed it would have been supplied immediately. The girls chose a different beach every day, including those on Virgin Gourda and Jost van Dyke. The house's proximity to the ferry at Soper's Hole made this a breeze for us. Long Bay and Smuggler's Cove, both a short distance from the house, were also easily accessible. As for us, we just enjoyed sitting by the pool, reading, relaxing and taking in the spectacular views. Our breaks at Cohobo House have been among the best vacations of our lives. We absolutley plan to return for a third time!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Cohoba House is a beautiful villa perched privately on the west end of Tortola with magnificent views from every angle of the property. It is stylishly decorated and impeccably kept. The bedrooms locations all have private entrances. It's very discreet but perfectly located a short drive from Soper's Hole. I highly recommend, we had a fantastic time without a single complaint.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Cohoba House is a wonderful place to stay while on Tortola. The location is fantastic as it is very close to two great beaches (Smuggler's Cove and Long Bay beach) and Soper's Hole, and the house's position in Belmont offers incredible views. It is impossible not to feel completely relaxed upon arrival. The house itself is beautiful and very well-appointed - everyone in my group felt that their expectations were far exceeded. The pool and patio areas are a wonderful place to spend a morning or evening and we were amazed to find such a well-stocked kitchen! We will almost certainly return in 2013. Many thanks to Greg and Anne!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Dear Anne and Greg, I want to thank you for allowing our family to stay at your lovely home. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome! Your place is even more beautiful than the the photos show. We were just mesmorized by the endless views. As you know this was a very special journey for our family as my husband, his brother and their mother returned after 30 years with our children to play on the Smugglers Cove beach. Truly a blessing to be a part of having my children play on that same beach 30 years later. Your home offered all the amenities we needed to feel right at home. The children thoroughly enjoyed venturing out amongst the lush grounds of the property and swimming in the refreshing pool. And we enjoyed preparing a meal in your gourmet kitchen and enjoying the outdoor dining area. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers.
