We had an amazing girls' weekend at the cabin. The view from the porch is magical, and we had lovely weather, so were able to enjoy our breakfast while overlooking the mountains and idyllic farm below. We cooked in the kitchen with ease and enjoyed the lovely gas fireplace each evening. Waynesville is a short drive away, so we were also able to do some shopping and enjoy a meal out. I highly recommend this house for a relaxing, beautiful stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I went to this wonderful house in the mountains to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. It was absolutely fantastic. The house was wonderful with great scenery. The house was very roomy and extremely comfortable. with a pool table and hot tub. We enjoyed every minute we were there. There is wonderful outside porch to spend some time to such relax while viewing the mountains It was close enough to Asheville to make a good day trip there. We had a once in a lifetime dinner at the Swag Lodge about 20 minutes up the mountain. We also spent the day in Waynesville Hope to spend other anniversaries there. The photos listed do not due this house justice. Everything was even better than we could have even imagined. The owners of this property obviously take great pride in their house and enjoy having others enjoy the sites of the North Carolina area. If you choose to stay here. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for the feedback. We’re so glad our place exceeded your expectations. My husband and I also have an August wedding anniversary- which we love to celebrate in the coolness of the mountains. It’s what brought us to these beautiful mountains in the first place! We hope you will return too.

Stayed for a week at Valhalla and it was wonderful!!! Waynesville is a perfect starting point for our excursions to Asheville, Chimney Rock and Brevard area to see wateralls. Town of Waynesville was close enough to grab groceries and occasional dinners (ate at Bocelli's and it was delicious, gotta get their cinnamon knots!!). The house was spacious and had wonderful views. You couldn't see or hear any neighbors (some other rentals make you think you have privacy and you don't). Pictures of the house were true. It was also very nice "roughing it" with wifi and cable :) If I had to make any negative comment was that there was zero toilet paper upon arriving. We did know ahead of time we needed to bring all of our own soap, cleaning ,etc. BUT, it's always a bit nice to have some TP available before we go do our big Walmart run. We left some for the guests after us so we hope that helps. But that is so minor. I almost didn't want to brag about Valhalla because now EVERYONE will want to stay there and it might not be available when we want to return:) The owners and rental agency were easy to deal with. Thanks again for everything!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: It’s so gratifying when someone enjoys our house, and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed review! Your one suggestion meant a lot to us, and we’ve informed our management company that we do not want to be known as the house without toilet paper! When your schedule allows a return visit, our welcome mat is out for you.

About the owner: We live in Goshen, KY, near Louisville, KY.
Why the Owner Chose Waynesville:
We fell in love with this area while celebrating many August wedding anniversaries in the coolness of the mountains. It's just a beautiful place to be.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We could overwhelm you with a long list of our favorites, but there's already enough literature out there about the North Carolina Mountains, and we found that part of our enjoyment of this area is making our own discoveries. Have fun making yours too!
