I stayed at the cottage with my son and daughter ages 13 and 15. We could not have been happier with every aspect of our experience. The inside provided us with more than we needed to be comfortable and was well stocked with tasteful decorations, cookware, games and movies, as well as sleeping arrangements. The surroundings were even better than the website pictures; a lovely pond, abundant wildlife, a fantastic fire pit, and beautiful views of mountains including the sunset. The entire property was clean and well maintained and our hosts went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. During our time at the cottage we climbed up the Mt Davis fire tower (highest point in PA.), went whitewater rafting and toured Fallingwater. These were all within about 20 mins I would highly recommend the cottage and I am already looking to bring my wife here later in the year for her birthday.

We loved our stay at the cottage at Campbell Farm, and look forward to a return in the near future! The cottage is adorable and perfectly tidy, with a lovely few of the pond. Several bird houses and feeders ensure a daily chorus that keeps things lively. We had a great hike down to the stream and back, and hope to take a picnic and a book there next time. The cottage at Campbell Farm is a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was so peaceful and quiet and the cottage is beautiful. We loved having breakfast in the sun room looking at all the interesting, beautifully colored birds and the red squirrels running around. We just had a great time and look forward to returning in the spring/summer.

A Cottage at Campbell Farm is the most wonderful, magical place to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of a busy work life. I have stayed there twice within the past 3 months and plan to stay there in another 3 months. The Cottage is incredibly comfortable, the location in the woods with the pond is restful, picturesque and private. It is close by Confluence, Ohiopyle and other attractions if one wants to get out and about. The owners are personable, available for questions, and respectful of privavcy. The listings absolutely reflect the Cottage's appearance and amenities. It is tended with love and care in all its' details inside and out! I have already recommended the Cottage to friends who have taken me up on my recommendation and stayed there. I can't say enough complimentary things about A Cottage at Campbell Farm!

We have just returned from our visit to the cottage. We chose the cottage as our "home" while visiting Fallingwater and the Flight 93 Memorial. It is convenient to both. You don't want to miss Ohiophyle, either. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful. The cottage offers comfortable beds and all the kitchen amenities you might need away from home (unless you plan to cook a lavish, gourmet meal!). We enjoyed our visit. We watched the fog lift off the pond while drinking coffee in the sunroom, we could see stars forever at night, and we were treated to a dance by the birds and chipmunks all day. It provided the needed rest we sought, and we are the better for it.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, everything was perfect. Relaxation was something we were looking forward to and were not disappointed. Sitting on the deck watching the birds and yes even the bats at sunset exceeded our expectations. We will definately be back!

My companion and I had a completely relaxing vacation week at the Farm. The cottage has all the amenities you could want, it's private and quiet, it's close to Confluence, Mt Davis, Ohiopyle State Park, and the Bike Trail. All full days of hiking or sightseeing, we relaxed on the deck overlooking the pond, watching the hummingbirds at the feeder, the birds around the pond, and the sun setting over the meadow up on the hill behind the pond. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was clean and well-equipped, and the sunroom was a delight for meals and evenings. Go and get away from it all! (Even though they do have WiFi!)

Our goal was to relax in a setting where the sights and sounds of nature are the only distractions. My husband and I found exactly what we needed at Campbell's Farm. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy. The view from the wraparound deck across the pond to the forest beyond was peaceful and the wildlife endlessly entertaining. Mona and Bryon could not have been more accommodating or respectful of our privacy. Although plentiful activities were available nearby, we were reluctant to leave this beautiful piece of property. We'll be back again and again...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and the only regret we had was not planning a longer visit! The cabin had everything we were looking for inside and out. We had total privacy and were able to take in all the sights and sounds of nature that we never see in the city. We truly had a remarkable stay and have booked our next visit in the fall. Can't wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cottage for a long weekend and LOVED it. Mona and Bryon were gracious hosts but left us to our privacy. The cottage was everything we hoped for - secluded and quiet with beautiful views of the water and mountains. We especially loved the variety of little birds that lived in the tree right outside the deck. The cottage is close to Confluence and the Great Allegheny Passage trail and an easy drive to Fallingwater. We hope to visit again soon. We highly recommend it!

the picturs just dont do this cottage it justice. We stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it hands down. the view just from the deck is enough to want to never leave. If your looking for a get away with your loved one or if you want to be in the great outdoors with the comforts of home "maybe even better"this your place. We will be back for sure, thank you Eastons
Owner response:I am VERY happy that you "newly weds" enjoyed the privacy and beauty of the cottage and the surrounding property. It is a joy to share the space with folks who truely love and appreciate the outdoor feel of the place. We have moved now from having visitors in the Spring, Summer, Fall and now Winter. The birds are REALLY enjoying all the feeders some of which are right outside the window. The snow is falling but the fireplace is burning - come back again soon! Mona

My girlfriend and I decided to take a weekend away from home, and our only regret was that we couldn't spend more time at the farm. From serene mornings with mist on the pond to clear, milky way star nights, we truly loved every minute of our trip. The hosts were tremendously accomodating and friendly, and very more than willing to suggest hikes and nearby destinations. The cottage is immaculate--clean, well-kept, and stocked with any and all commodities--pots, pans, silverware, tea, coffee, you name it (even entertainment, like movies and board games). We got so much more than we'd paid for--the trip was really a steal. And among our many positive comments to one another regarding the vacation, one that we found we repeated was, "They thought of everything!" We will absolutely return as soon as we both have a long weekend--two days just aren't enough.
Owner response:You are "so" kind! I am glad you had a good time and appreciate the positive feedback. Come back again soon! Mona

Terrific setting! Terrific cottage! I spent a few days this past fall (September 2010) at the Cottage at Campbell Farm and ever since have been thinking of ways to arrange a return visit. I went there for the purpose of writing, and found it to be an ideal spot. Mona's hospitality was gracious and yet respectful of my desire for some time apart. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. While on the farm, the cottage itself is somewhat isolated, and from my seat in the sun room, my view was of a pond adjacent to the cottage, nearby woods, and more distant mountains. Stunning! If you've never been there, the Laurel Highlands section of Pennsylvania is very beautiful. I would highly recommend this cottage for writers, bicyclists, fishermen, and outdoor lovers of all types. The Cottage at Campbell Farm is ideal for a personal retreat or a romantic escape!

Our stay at the cottage was just wonderful: the cottage is quaint, clean and has a fully stocked kitchen. We so enjoyed the view of the pond and the birds - including hummingbirds - who would come to visit. It was very peaceful; when we left we felt truly refreshed. Mona is a thoughtful and considerate hostess. We can't wait till we can visit again!
Owner response:It was wonderful to have you return for a second visit! Yesterday there was a Cooper's Hawk, above the cottage, feeding on a Catbird, the day before there was a large flock of wild turkey in the field across the pond and, the Belted Kingfisher (though shy) is still seen around the pond. Thank you for writing - I look forward to another visit. Mona

My husband's mother grew up in the area, so this was a memory lane visit with our daughter. We never anticipated staying in such a beautiful place and site. The cottage is delightful, and you are completely PRIVATE, but have your hostess when you need her. The porch is wonderful, but even more wonderful is the outside deck where you see and hear so many birds, frogs, hummingbirds that feed at the feeder and so much other wildlife. One could say it is a spiritual experience to stay here. The eco toilet is not a problem if you have never used one. No smell. It is like a regular toilet except for the way it does not use water. Do not let this deter you from staying here. You would be missing out on a one-of-a-kind experience. Obviously, we would recommend staying here and would love to return ourselves. Be sure and ask your hostess about the restaurant that serves lamb. We ate there probably 4 times because of me. It was so, so good!!
Owner response:Peggy - I am so very happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay at the cottage. We hope that everyone who stays here has such a positive experience. Thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have another opportunity to visit: A Cottage at Campbell Farm!

We loved staying at the cottage. It was clean and had everything we needed to relax. The view was wonderful and we really felt like we were away from it all. The cottage was cozy but had plenty of room to be comfortable. The sunroom and deck were a great space to enjoy our morning coffee. Suprisingly the composting toilet (something we weren't 100% sure about) did not smell at all, was easy to use, and provided the opportunity to learn about something else 'green'. The small town of Confluence is nearby and the owner was very helpful in recommending a few restaurants there for the times when we chose not to cook in the cottage. The surrounding area is beautiful and close to the railtrails and Ohiopyle. We definitely plan to stay here again sometime. Great experience!

We stayed in June. The property was just as advertised and pristine in maintenance. The owner was helpful but invisible. The setting is exceptional. Dragonflies on the pond, songbirds at feeder, frogs in the waterlilies. Husband and son went off to fish and I sat on the deck to read and sew, or strolled in the meadows. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants peace and solitude in the country. An excellent escape from the city.
