Perfect Maine Beach Vacation

My family (13 and 15 year old boys, my husband and I) had a terrific vacation at Peter and Ann's Sea Watch beach home. The unit itself was so clean, roomy, and comfortable. The beach was outstanding - has to be the best beach on New England, if you like wide, clean, sandy beaches that go on for miles. Plenty of room to throw a frisbee and football, and spread out your towel and chair for some peaceful reading. It was fun being able to walk to so many great restaurants from the condo, rent bikes and sight see through all the adjacent beach communities, enjoy some fund rides at the amusement park, play tennis and basketball at the lovely park in OOB, and take many long walks and runs along the beach. We also enjoyed Portland: taking a cruise in Casco Bay, seeing a minor league Red Sox baseball game, and eating at several of the places seen on Man vs. Food (remember - two teenage boys...). We will be returning to Sea Watch next summer!

We were very impressed with the cleanliness, decor, and amenities that your location had to offer. With family-friendly rides and games, and convenient nightlife right down the street, this week was a perfect get-away for us, our friends, and their new one-year-old daughter. Pete and Ann, we enjoyed staying at your condo. Everything was in order and contained everything we needed. We were concerned about not having air conditioning but found that we didn't need it. We had a guest with us and it worked out great. We had plenty of room to roam without bumping into each other. Close to the action of OOB if you want and still far enough away not to hear the noise. The sunrises were spectacular! Definitely a repeat place to stay! Thanks Pete and Ann.

The condo is very lovely and well kept with all the amenities one needs. It is wonderful staying right on the beach and being close to down town. We had a very relaxing week. Peter and Ann are very helpful, always responding to any questions asked. It's a great choice for a vacation.

Condo was well equipped and clean! Once we parked our car, we didn't really need to drive (other than grocery shopping or activities we did). Very close to Pier and all the shops. The teenagers loved it. My husband and I personally prefer a less populated beach area, but this served our purpose this time around with 4 teens. Owners responded to e-mails and questions promptly. Great people to do business with.

This is our second time renting this unit and we've already asked Peter to hold the same week again for us next year. This condo is very pleasantly decorated, and is quite comfortable, just like it is our own place (but way cleaner than our own house ;) You can see the ocean/beach (full view) from the kitchen when you cook, from the table when you eat, and from the living area. There is also a little balcony with 5 small resin chairs and a small end table. There is no air conditioning; even though it was an unuasual 85 degrees this week, we still didn't need it. The breeze is fine and it cools dowon enough at night. We are also close enough to the pier that we just walk, but we are far enough away that the beach is still just a wide open beach without obstruction or noise. The indoor pool is very small, but my kids (7 and 9) don't need anythoing larger to have fun, plus, we were at the beach ostof the time.

My husband and I have just returned from just about the best vacation we've ever had in OOB. Pete and Ann, your condo was more than we ever could have imagined . We had everything available, it was like being at home . The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and all activities. We had friends join us and it was more than enough room. Our family just returned from Pete and Ann's condo. What a fabulous vacation spot! We have been visiting OOB every year for 20 years and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The condo is meticulously clean, stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the location is probably the best you could ask for - oceanfront, quiet, close to town, but not too close!!!! My family and I recently stayed at Pete and Ann's Condo and could not have been happier that this was the place we had slected to stay. The condo was very clean and was equipped with all the necesities one needed to make it feel like a home away from home. It was also useful having two full bathrooms to share amongst three adults and two children. The condo was a perfect location for our vacation. It was right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean. It was such a pleasure to be able to hear the waves through the window. The condo was also within walking distance to the pier but not too close that you heard all the noise and commotion of the pier. The kids enjoyed the use of the pool throughout the week. Also Pete was very accommodating and very helpful in making sure that we had the vacation we were looking for. Could not ask for better assistance. The whole process of booking this vacation was well organized and very easy. I would definitely recommend this spot for other people who are looking for a home away from home on the beach! We are looking forward to being able to come back and stay again!

The Condo was very clean, spacious and full of sunshine! My kids (7, 5, 3 & 1) all had an incredible time on the beach located just feet away. We also enjoyed the indoor pool for a quick swim. The view was spectacular and going to sleep then waking up to the sound of the ocean was priceless. The distance to the arcades, amusement park, food & entertainment was perfect. We hope to get back to OOB next year and there is no other place we'd want to stay at. Thanks a lot Peter & Ann....The condo was better than advertised and the kids were so sad to leave. What a beautiful condo; beautifully decorated, very roomy, well equipped, clean, and best of all, right on the ocean and walking distance to local foods and attractions for the kids. We would definitely like to return if the ower will have us next year. The chidren loved the ocean and especially the indoor pool. They also loved the games and rides available just walking distance down the street. My wife and I especially liked the views and walking along the beach, and also the local shopping and food estabishments. Everything we needed was close to the unit so car travel once we got there was minimal. The kitchen was well equipped and very functional (although the stove is probably in need of an upgrade shortly). The unit itself was surprisely very quiet for being a condo. Overall, we had an excellent time and would definitely like to stay there again.

We love the oceanfront condo and plan to come back every year. The location is perfect -- walking distance to shopping, restaurants and recreational activities. We thoroughly enjoyed your lovely condo in OOB. We found it very comfortable, we felt right at home. We spent every morning on the balcony enjoying the beautiful view and sounds of the ocean. We walked the beach daily. We sure enjoyed all the delicious sea food available. The condo location is great, we saw many local sights and we spent one day in the mountains of NW Maine and NH, taking in the beautiful fall colors. We even walked on the Appalachian Trail! What a great way to experience Old Orchard Beach! There's nothing like waking up the the sounds and scents of the ocean every morning!! Dear Pete and Ann, Thank you so much for the use of your truly beautiful condo. It had everything we could have needed...wine glasses, real china, and every gadget possible. Our family felt very much at home. Even washing beach towels was good because I could look out the window at the beach and hear the surf day or night (wish I could do that at home). The kids loved being on the beach and having food/refrigerator etc just steps away...and swimming in the indoor pool before bed was equally enjoyable. Even putting the little one down for a nap was relaxing for us, sitting on the balcony still so close to the beach. Peter, your hints for sightseeing and restaurants were very good. The Children's Museum in Portland was a big hit with the kids. We really enjoyed Maine and staying in such a pretty condo right on the beach was a real pleasure. Thanks again!

Pete and Ann, Thanks for sharing your wonderful summer home with us. Your thoughtfulness is very evident in all you do to make your guests comfortable. Bill and I really enjoyed our relaxing early morning walks on the beach and watching the beautiful sunrises. I took lots of photos and framed some of the sunrises to hang in our office. We had a great time staying at #202 Sea Watch Condos. The unit was very fresh, bright, and clean. We were with another couple who also thought highly of the unit. The sunrise was spectacular through the light clouds. If we were to come back to the area, we certainly would stay here again.

We had a wonderful vaction! The location is fantastic! It was so relaxing to just walk out to the beach or to sit on the balcony overlooking the beach. I miss my morning walks along the beach down to the pier to get my coffee. Everything is so near; you can really relax. The condo is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Packing for this vacation was easy since everything we needed was already there. This is definitely the best place we've rented in Maine.

Hi Pete & Ann, We just got back home a little while ago….we had a wonderful time! It was a very relaxing week! You have a very nice condo (all the comforts of home)….we hated to leave! The weather was great! It rained a little on Sunday, then just a couple evenings during the week. The area was pretty quiet during the week, but it started to get busy in town on Friday. Many of the restaurants were open…we had dinner at Wormwoods (****), the Village Café in Portland (***), and of course steamed lobsters from Bayley’s (****) and Ken’s Place was pretty popular with us too! Barefoot Boy opened this morning for breakfast. We walked the beach quite a bit too…that’s my favorite thing about OOB…the long stretch of beach.
