So refreshing and restorative. Catwalk charms! Most hospitable and respectful hosts make this a well-spent respite. Always ready with island history and touring tips, and a glass of wine or complete privacy at the ready, Leonard and Chrissie have an understanding of "guest". I will be back next year!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Cat Walk was beyond anything we expected. Leonard and Chrissie were exceptional hosts. They made sure we had everything we would ever need, everyday. The gardens are a wonderland. We were so comfortable that we didn't really want to leave the oasis. We rented a car for the week, which I I highly recommend. We traveled all over the island and always felt safe, once we got the hang of left side of road and the roundabouts that is! Beautiful island, beautiful happy people on the island = beautiful time. The only touristie thing we did was the Island World Power Boat trip to the Exuma Cays. You will be amazed and worth every single penny! Thank you Chrissie and Leonard for making sure our week was wonderful. We would love to come back every year!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Having lived and worked in Nassau many years ago, our affection for the islands remains deep. Our recent trip back was scheduled for three weeks in April and May and a stay of that length in the invariable anonymity of a hotel room was really not an option. The alternative, spending our time instead, in the beautiful, clean and comfortable home of Chrissie and Leonard, and enjoying their limitless hospitality, was one of the best holiday decisions we have ever made. Put simply, we just felt totally cared for, fully at ease, relaxed and very welcome. Our hosts pitched their presence perfectly, giving us the freedom of solitude when they sensed we wanted it, but anticipating our needs even before we did, and fulfilling them accordingly. A succession of "treats" and well assessed aids to comfort, flowed through the door. My wife unfortunately was suffering back problems and without hesitation, chairs were tested and replaced until the most comfortable was discovered; minor medication was readily available; a miraculous back support was provided and its return with us to assist in the long flight home to England was insisted upon. Other than this, newspapers appeared daily; no sooner had an interest been expressed, than books and magazines on the subject were there for us to peruse; during periods of rain, over to the cottage came cds and dvds; Leonard's delicious home-made preserve was provided and devoured and further supplies were tucked in our suitcase; his other speciality, conch salad, was enjoyed with gusto and well rivalled any available down at Potter's Cay; beers and wine, food and good company were available in copious quantities should we be in the mood, but not if not. It was an incredible experience that matched a most beautiful environment. Because of that environment, we found ourselves tending to eat lunch out most of the days and being lured into spending the evenings "at home" quietly absorbing the magic of our surroundings. We rented a car; the Jitny buses are excellent and cheap but, of course, your own vehicle does perhaps give you greater flexibility to get the most of what Nassau and Paradise Island have to offer. We used ours considerably. We were also happy to seek out and try the "local" restaurants rather than the larger/hotel alternatives - don't be intimidated by the Potter's Cay offerings - they really are fun! Chrissie & Leonard - thank you. You too Louella, You kept the cottage spotless. You all know we'll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the end of Feb, 2012. It was a serene and peaceful week for us. Our hosts, Chrissie and Leonard, are some of the nicest people we have ever met. They made us feel welcome and comfortable sharing their beautiful gardens, home and friendly cats with us. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. We would definitely return to this home away vacation rental. Thank you to Chrissie and Leonard for all the special touches that made our stay memorable, especially the last evening visiting with you. I spent a week there at the end of January, 2012. I am happy to recommend Catwalk. A most relaxing, hospitable atmosphere is the constant here...the owners are appropriately both respectful and accommodating as are the cats(!). Longtime residents of the island, the hosts are knowledgeable about Bahamas history as well as places of interest, etc. You will love the grounds!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

If you are searching for a quiet retreat "Catwalk" is a tropical oasis where the cats, birds, lizards and frogs all live in complete harmony and allow a few humans to enjoy the lush green vegetation. Your garden view is one of a profusion of orchids, bromeliads, ferns, lilies and palms, under a canopy of tall trees with cool ponds and gurgling fountains. "Catwalk" the cottage is very small, very clean, with everything you need included - comfortable bed and hot shower. On our sixth trip to Nassau we found "Catwalk" through VRBO. It was exactly what the doctor ordered, with husband spending most of his time in Doctors Hospital. I felt completely safe and comfortable. The "Pink Store", a short walk to the end of the street, is more than adequate for breakfast, lunch and snacks. For dinners I made carry-out stops at "The Green Parrot" an amazing menu with anything you could want for dinner. We plan to return soon and hope to explore a little more of Nassau and take in the "Art & Wine Festival" around the corner at the National Trust Garden. A special thanks to our fabulous, gracious and knowledgeable hosts. I highly recommend "Catwalk" for single or couples seeking quiet surroundings.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.

I get to travel throughout the Caribbean for work, and this is my favourite rental home by far. Between the cottage and the main house is a plush and secluded garden with paths, fountain-fed pools and bird feeders. It's a pleasure to sit in solitude at the patio table in the morning and look for the countless amusing additions throughout the jungle-like garden. And don't miss an opportunity to share a cold drink with the friendly and entertaining owners! We'll be back...Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I have been coming to Nassau for over 20 years and always stay at a townhouse on Cable Beach. What a refreshing change of pace. My husband & I chose 'Cat Walk' for a mini-trip to celebrate his birthday and visit friends. Leonard & Chrissie are the most accomodating hosts I have experienced. They know all the right touches to make your stay enjoyable, stressfree and relaxing. The cottage is quiant and comfortable. Eating breakfast every morning on the patio was blissful. Waking up to the birds chirping and the smell of freshness is peaceful. Words cannot describe the gardens, they are truly unique and beautiful. We had friends over for wine & cheese one afternoon and they spent more time oogling over the garden, birds and cats, than they did chatting with us. But it was so enjoyable to have that opportunity to share this wonderful place. We hope to visit again for a longer period of time and get to spend some 'social' time with our host and hostess. This was one of the most relaxing and serene vacations that my husband & I have ever experienced and would recommend it. We rented a car but you really don't need one as there are 2 buses that pass at the end of the street daily. The location is close to Fort Montague and eastside beaches. Montague Gardens is close by and an awesome restaurant to eat at for lunch or dinner.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed at the cottage for a week and enjoyed it very much. The property is set up to be out of the main stream of tourists and was a very nice change of pace from the working world. Also, our hosts were very accomodating and took care of every anticipated need, as well as provide us with excellent concierge services for the local restaurants. Leonard and Crissie were helpful in every way and also were quite nice conversation partners as well. If you are looking to get away and have an unstressed island vacation, this could be the place.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
