Villa Encantada

This house combines graceful architectural curves and glass with hand carved wooden furniture and wall treatments from Indonesia, China, Mexico and Africa. Luxurious marble floors and counter tops add elegance to create an atmosphere of casual style that is decidedly artistic (its owner is a well known artist and sculptor). Large glass windows and sliders provide magnificent views of the sea and the lush coconut palms by the Caribbean. An ocean side swimming pool will cool you off and has a large sandy tanning area for tanning, cookouts and entertaining. Casa Encantada has four air conditioned bedrooms and four bathrooms. Two bedrooms are on the second floor, one on the first floor and one in the finished lower level with a play room for children. A TV, VCR and CD stereo provide plenty of entertainment inside and the beach side sandy area with swimming pool doubles as a barbecue cookout area with a grill and indoor/ outdoor bar. This is a great area for entertaining and tanning. Up on the roof there is a circular observation deck with a spectacular daytime view and excellent stargazing at night. Back down on the sand, a cut through the palms gives access to the beach at the north end of Jade Bay. There is a sandy area directly in front of the casa which is a nice vantage point to view both Akumal bay to the north, and Jade Beach bay immediately to the south. This is a nice private location.
