This is an old home, as are most in Maine. Although it offers a considerable amount of living space, it is not a comfortable home, The first four steps to the entrance are stone and VERY narrow with no railing-challenging. Kitchen is spacious, however, there is a butcher block table, which is fine, but the only seating are the most uncomfortable stools to sit on. The only set of linens for one bed were so scratchy, we had to buy a set. The beds are not comfortable, and most of the furniture is not very comfortable. The biggest problem are the bedrooms and baths. The attic bedroom is thru the laundry room with deadly steps going up. Although there are 2.5 baths, there is only one shower in an old, small, deep tub.VERY difficult to get in and out and very tight, to say the least. There is an outdoor shower in the hot tub room.It leaks, making the carpet wet, and it's so hot when you get out, that you need another shower. There are no lounge chairs and no beach chairs. We had to buy chairs for the beach.Last, but not least, Mountain St. Is a heavily travelled road and it's quite noisy..If the owners put some money into this house, it could be a lot more pleasant to stay in.
