Gorgeous Peak Views - Great West Side Location
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Our house sits on a hill in a popular west side neighborhood with unobstructed views of the San Francisco Peaks, and surrounding mountains. The home is on a corner lot with a nicely kept backyard including a large deck, and nice patch of artificial turf. The view of the Peaks from the deck is spectacular. A great spot to enjoy a meal from the BBQ grill.
Inside is very open and bright. The great room has plenty of seating with a fully appointed entertainment center. The dining area will seat 6 to 8 people comfortably. There is a leaf stored in the table which will add space for up to 4 more seats, plus 3 stools at the kitchen counter.
The sun room has a hot tub which makes it great to be able to use when it is raining or snowing outside. There is a single hide a bed sofa for that extra guest. And yes, the mountain views from this room are also fantastic.
There are three comfortable bedrooms each with its own bathroom and television. Great opportunity for three couples to spend a get away together and each have their own private bath. Also wonderful for the kids to have their own bathroom(s) and not bother mom and dad.
The Flagstaff City bus line is right out the front door. What a great opportunity to not have to use your car, or need to bring more than one vehicle (However, there is a two car garage and additional off street parking).
This home is just minutes from downtown with all of its wonderful restaurants and shopping. Bike and hiking trails are close at hand. Skiing, snow boarding, cross country skiing, and snow play are all near by. Plus, you can make this a great base camp for all that Northern Arizona has to offer.

We had a great time at this house! It was as described and what we expected. Location was perfect. The owner`s son was willing to help with anything we needed and indeed he helped us shovel the snow from our garage doorway. He is a very nice person. I would definitely think about renting this place again, it was everything we needed. The only think I would recommend the owner is, if he has the chance, to change the mattress on the beds in both of the upstair bedrooms. We thank the owner for a wonderful stay!Owner response: Thank you for your comments. I am glad we were able to make your stay wonderful. I had actually talked to the owner of the store where I purchased the mattresses for the house a little over two years ago and told him I was not happy with the way they were holding up. He will be meeting me at the house to take a look, and we should be able to get a prorated credit and I will be purchasing new ones. I am sorry they did not meet your expectations.

This house is awesome! We were celebrating my birthday and decided to make it a family vacation. So my husband, kids, and granddaughter all enjoyed an Arizona vacation full of memories. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom, so we had plenty of privacy. We really used the kitchen because we ate most of our meals at the house. It has very nice appliances in the kitchen and plenty of dishes for our crew of six. The dining room is wonderful too. The house felt very spacious and comfortable. With two of the bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs, the living room and dining room had the ceiling height of two stories, which I really like. Of course having the indoor hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing at the Snowbowl. We enjoyed that very much. The pictures really do give a good overview of what the house is like. The location of the house is probably as close to Arizona Snowbowl as you can find for this type of rental (that was important to us!). It is in a nice neighborhood and the view of the mountains is really spectacular. Getting to WalMart and grocery stores was easy. Also a great central location for seeing the sights of Northern Arizona. Jim was very wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this house for a family vacation. Also, the backyard is very nice and private. It snowed while we were there and my granddaughter loved the snow in the backyard. The comfort of the house and the closeness of wonderful family time made the house the highlight of our vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for your wonderful comments. I am so happy our home met your expectations and than some.

We love this house and it has everything we needed. The house is spacious, rooms have huge closets, bathrooms are clean, it has wood ceiling which kind of gives a feeling of being in a cabin; it has a huge yard and a hot tub in the sun room...they also have lots of entertainment for the kids (puzzles, board games, etc). It is located close to Snowbowl and grocery/shopping stores. The owner is very nice as well! We'll definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: I appreciate your great review. I am glad you had a good time.

We stayed at Jim's house in Flagstaff, in late October. Jim was wonderful to do business with. He always kept in touch via e-mail, and I even called him once while we were at the house. He was gracious enough to let us stay past the normal check-out time. Jim was very accommodating, he even helped with a couple of special requests for us. The pictures are actually a touch out of date & the Arizona (sun) room with the Hot Tub is wonderful (and better than the picture can show). The beds were comfortable, everything was as clean as can be expected. There was a lot provided at the house. The kitchen was stocked with all the kitchen utensils you would need, there were games (Racko was my favorite), movies on DVD & tape, CD's. There is cable... or something like cable... I was able to watch the ASU / UCLA game. Lots of channels, no problem finding something to watch. Something else that was fantastic, is that there is a propane grill in the back yard (propane supplied). We used that to grill up some steak & twice baked potatoes. It was a pretty, private place in a nice, quiet part of town, and not far from Basha's (grocery store), Wal-Mart, or anything in Flagstaff for that matter. We did see the neighbors several times, but they were quiet & pretty much just drove to their culdesac houses, or just left the house to walk the dog. If we didn't spend so much time in the Arizona (sun) room, we probably wouldn't have even noticed that there were neighbors. We would love to stay again, we actually looked at the schedule to see if we could book for Christmas this year, but... somebody already has those dates booked :( Chances are, that we'll be back to visit. It was well worth the small asking price.Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay.

We absolutely loved this home. It was so cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space and all the extras made this an excellent place for us. We had a slight problem with the TV but the owner was quick to call us and get it all straightened out!! We loved the hot tub and used it every night we were there. We visited the Grand Canyon via the Grand Canyon Railway out of Williams, AZ. We would highly recommend this home if you are planning a visit to the Flagstaff area. It was so nice to come home at night to a comfortable bed and wake up to the beauty of the San Francisco Mtns. We thank the owners for sharing their home with us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed for three nights with my family. Nice, quiet neighborhood, the house was very clean and comfortable, perfect for the four of us. There's a great entertainment center for staying in. We didn't dine in, but the kitchen and dining table would have been great for it. And the hot tub was perfect after a day of being tourists at the Grand Canyon (only about 90 minutes away). Jim wasn't in town when we stayed, so we didn't meet him, but he was gracious enough, over the phone, to help me through some numbskulled confusion about operating the DVD player. My family was very pleased--the house was a highlight of our trip.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

About the owner: We have owned this home since it was built. We raised two great children here and have loved all the conveniences of this location.
Why the Owner Chose Flagstaff:
We decided to turn our home into a vacation rental so others could partake of the breath taking views of the mountains, and enjoy the easy access to the forest and all the surrounding attractions. We still are able to come back and continue to appreciate this home.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We like the quiet neighborhood, and the fact it seems you are out in the country. The hiking and biking opportunities are amazing. Yet it is only minutes to Flagstaff with all of the conveniences and fun things to do there.
