Good Hope is a 2000 acre heritage park with a 260 year old Great House, citrus farm and featured attractions in walking distance, including zip lining, river tubing, horse and buggy rides, atv and dune buggy riding throughout the magnificent park like setting.
Treehouse is a secluded villa with 4 ensuite bedrooms with a/c, and situated steps to the Martha Brae River and a short 12 minute drive to our own private Good Hope Beach. Good Hope beach has 400ft of beachfront with beautiful white sands and fantastic swimming waters. Great for children.
Our guests have it all! Exclusivity and Privacy, a chance to discover both the magical interior of Jamaica as well as swim in the clear blue seas of our private beach. Don't know where to start...This is an amazing place!!! We spent Christmas 2010 here and it was truely spectacular. The Hart's home is more breathtaking then the pictures. It had a very spiritual quality to it with many of the rooms open to the air and one with nature. The house is located on top of a hillside amongst the lush canopy of all the amazing vegetation. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have been on. The staff (cook, waiter/gardener, housekeeper, and driver) took really great care of us. The food was always fresh and meals were a highlight of our days. We ate homemade jam each morning that we affectionately called "morning ketchup" made from fresh papaya. The jerk chicken was to die for as was all othe other meals, desserts prepared for us. We went horseback riding through the citrus orchards, toured old ruins from a once sugarcane plantation on the property, and went tubing on the river that went through the property as well. The property was unspoiled and we felt that we had stepped back in time. We had lots of privacy. What was really cool was that when we went to the beach (which was a 12 minute ride away), we had a house of our own right at the waters' edge to hang out in. The beach area was shaded with trees, had bathrooms, an upper terrace with big plush cushions to lay out on, and a bedroom if we wanted to get out of the son for awhile. Oh, did I mention the picnic lunches they packed for us with an ice chest filled in tow? We also had a nice man at the beach house to care for us while we were there. We went into town a few times on a comfy, airconditioned bus with lots of room for our family. Our driver took us into Ochos Rios one day so we could see Dunns Falls and do a little shopping. Our driver would have taken us anywhere in Jamaica we wanted tp go. If you want a truely memorable experience, this is the place for you. We will never forget our precious time here. We had a blast. At no time did we ever feel unsafe, and the Jamaician people are very kind and friendly. You will be totally taken care of. We had 2 teenage boys and my "not so old" parents. There is plenty to do for all age groups. Unfortunately, I am leaving tons of details out. If I attempted to include everything, I would have to write a book. Thanks again for everything Tammy, Blaise, and Boys!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I have stayed several times at this property. Staying there always allows me to relax and marvel at the beauty of nature, while indulging in excellent cuisine. I love the trails by the river, especially coming across remnants of life 200yrs ago and feeling the connection with history. the property is clean and artistically decorated; no stiff-necked formality at all. Arty takes abound at all levels, but comfort is maintained in a very laid-back way. the beach is 20mins drive from the villas, and has a wonderful beachouse. it is near the public beach so one can choose to experience that side of life or be very private in your own space. it is always a pleasure to return to the villa's peace after a vital day at the beach. the staff are very attentive and definitely augment the experience. they anticipate needs you didn't know you had, and provide very imaginative snacks and meals. Picking coconuts and presenting them for immediate consumption is Aldane's favourite chore! In the Valley there is a wide disparity in day and nightime temperatures; its lovely to go for an early morning walk while the mist is just lifting, passing horses and cows in their pastures, and greating the farmworkers on their way to work. Under the canopy of trees in the midday heat, caressing breezes playing with the pages of your book, one could feel transported to a life in a previous century, but happily return as fresh coconut water comes your way! This is not a property for people who like structured luxury like Ritz-Carlton; this is unique in its artiness and expansiveness with attention to sensory luxuries.... i wuld definitely recommend this to friends.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: Blaise and Tammy Hart are the owner/operators of Good Hope, a functioning citrus farm and tour destination. Set on 2000 acres, there is so much to discover, to share. We reside on the property, waking up to the mist in the valley, drinking fresh orange juice from our trees, eating vegetables and poultry from our neighbors, sipping fresh coconut water while we end our day with a swim in the pool or the river or take a short drive to our beach house for a delightful salt water swim. Morning walks are a dream and long bike rides in the fields and amongst ruins is part of our living existence. Treehouse is a special holiday experience.
