“Lodge by the Sea” is our home away from home and we want to share it with you. As part of the 57-acre Ocean Creek Plantation in North Myrtle Beach you will have so much more to do than simply enjoying the famous beach. Pools (indoor and outdoor), beachfront cabana and bar, workout facility, putting green, The Fours Season's Restaurant, tennis courts and much more. By foot, bike or trolley you can explore hours of shopping, dining and theatre at the adjacent Barefoot Landing and never have to get back in your car.
From our 4th floor (top floor) end unit condo it’s about a 200 yard heavily shaded walk to the beach. You can also catch the trolley that runs about every ten minutes and stops right at the beachside pool and bar in the summer months. The great thing about staying here is that there are no busy streets to cross. So if you have older children they can easily get to the beach on their own without you worrying about traffic. Our kids always look forward to feeding the ducks at the pond on the way to the beach.
We think the best thing about the beach at Ocean Creek is how unique it is. To the south is a residential community known as Briarcliffe Acres. This large community is all residential homes, which means you have a large stretch of beach to your south of about two miles all the way down to Apache Pier. Can you imagine having that much beach to walk on without looming condo towers and rows of rental umbrellas? Did I mention how great the shelling is on this relatively undisturbed stretch of beach?
Another unique feature of the beach at Ocean Creek is the tidal creek that gives the resort its name. As you approach the beach on your walk from the condo you will cross over a large wooden bridge that traverses the tidal creek that empties into the ocean just to the south. This tidal creek is fantastic for hours of play for the kids. Since it cuts through the beach it creates an area that is like being at the ocean shoreline without the waves. Kids and adults alike use it as a lazy river and smaller kids spend hours playing on the sandy banks while Mom and Dad are relaxing. Kids also enjoy netting tiny fiddler crabs and fish on the opposite shore. So there’s so much more to do than just building sand castles every day.
If you want the sun and beach breeze without the sand then the beachside pool is perfect for you. Not to mention there’s also a beachside bar that can keep you hydrated and fed. In the summer there’s usually a DJ to keep things lively and Ocean Creek has a team of people who put on events for the kids. Kids can swim, use the playground, sign up for arts and crafts, nature walks and beach soccer games. Again, there’s so much more to do at “Lodge by the Sea” than just sit in a chair with your toes in the sand.
But if that's your pleasure then enjoy beach chair and umbrella rentals or bring your own. You have lots of beach to choose from to find you own private oasis and waste the day away raking your toes through the white sands while sipping a frozen drink from the bar. The surf varies depending on the weather pattern so each day is like visiting a new beach. We've seen surf competition quality waves and on other days just enough sound of breaking waves to put you the sleep. But in either case, don't forget the sunscreen!

Why the Owner Chose Lodge Villas
Ocean Creek is a wonderful resort and when you're here you'll forget about the outside world. The resort is very well laid out for families and allows for a pedestrian friendly stay. Sure, you can drive to anywhere on the resort but there's no reason to. The wide paved pathways are heavily shaded and landscaped with lush indigenous plants and trees. Even at night the lampposts light your way down to the beach or over to barefoot landing for the nightlife. We chose Ocean Creek Plantation for this very reason. It's so family friendly and coming from Atlanta the last thing we want to do is drive everywhere. Ocean Creek is well manicured and the pools and other amenities are always kept in top shape. We have stayed in many places, some even 4 star that don't compare.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Since we have been coming to Myrtle Beach multiple times a year for the last six years we think we know what it takes to outfit a vacation condo for an enjoyable stay. We put a lot of thought into making sure that the condo was a part of the overall vacation experience not just a place to grab a shower and sleep. You will find rainy day entertainment like board games and a movie collection. A kitchen that is well stocked with utensils and cookware to avoid costly dining out. Just about everything in the condo is new from air conditioning, hot water heater, carpet and paint. You will find that the bathrooms are clean and the kitchen ready for just about anything you could want to cook. We often get the comment from guests that they want to come back just because of the way we have decorated our condo. It definitely doesn't feel like a hotel.

We have been enjoying coming to Myrtle Beach with our family every year for the last six years. I can remember coming with my family when I was growing up and it created some fond memories. We tried to make our condo feel like home away from home, a comfortable vacation rental where families can unplug and reconnect. You will find that our condo is not all seashells and sea foam green interior. It's more of an eclectic collection of nostalgic elements and furnishings that will bring back memories of great vacations past. In spite of all there is to do in Myrtle Beach we wanted to create a vacation rental that gives you reason to actually enjoy the accommodations too. Vacations are all about having new experiences and we hope when you choose to stay at "Lodge by the Sea" you will have a unique and memorable experience.

We were 4 adults staying here and found the unit very well laid out for comfort and privacy. It was nicely situated close to the beach... just a very short walk. A pool is handily available to the unit. Laundry facility is across the hall and may as well be in the unit. The screened porch is nice to sit and relax. The unit is on the 4th floor and as no one is above you it is perfectly quiet. We never heard a soul. The owner is friendly to deal with and we enjoyed our stay.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised at the accomodations of the condo. The walk to the beach was very relaxing and closer than what we had expected. The condo unit was very comfortable...great homey decorations. The beds were perfect for a good night's sleep. The hot water in the shower was amazing! We enjoyed the Ocean Creek property, the pretty scenery, and the beach within walking distance. The gated security always made you feel safe. This unit is owned by a very caring individual who goes out of his way to make sure you have a nice stay. Thank you!!

We were very pleased with the cleanliness and the abundance of towel, linens and kitchen supplies in the condo. Our daughter liked that it is a gated community and she loved the short walk to the oceanside beach, where she spent most of her time. Everything needed for a holiday is close by: pools, ocean, shopping, restaurants, attractions, golf etc. We hope to return again in the near future.

Recently stayed at this condo and had a wonderful time! The resort feel was in the air and the beach was very nice along with the private feel of the pool. We all enjoyed the creek which ran from the ocean when we justed wanted to relax in the water away from the waves. The condo was very comfortable and didn't take long to feel at home, away from home! We had two teeneagers with us and had plenty of room and they were well pleased! Thanks So Much for everything! I would difinately stay again.

This condo was terrific. The unit has everything to make you feel at home. Anything you need from ironing board to vacuum cleaner to pots and pans are there. The facility is beautiful and the location is great. There are so many restaurants and malls around you will have anything you need at your fingertips. The unit is off the main drag so you won't hear any noise. I loved it and hope to return again next year.
