  We stayed in this condo in January of this year. We were very pleased with the condo. It has a lovely new kitchen and both of the bathooms were new also. The view from the balcony was wonderful. The grounds are so well maintained. The owners were very kind to us. They have two new bikes in storage that they allowed us to use for the week without any charge. It was so relaxing to ride on this beautiful beach. It was nice to have a grocery store right across the street from the condo and a couple of good restaurants also. My children came down for a few days and went to Disney. They were pleased how easy it was to travel to Disney from the unit. I would recommend this unit to anyone. I have stayed in multiple units in Castle Reef over the years and would have to rate this as one of the nicest !

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

• Security Deposit

  We stayed during the Christmas Holidays and the unit was clean as well as the pool area. Before we left we followed the instructions on how to leave the unit. After two months we still did not receive our deposit, so I emailed the management company and they said it was an error on their part. When I finally received my deposit it had 30 dollars deducted. I have stayed all over florida and I have never had to ask for my security deposit. Whe ask why I did not recieve my full amount they said they were charged more to clean my condo. If this is true then why would I have not gotten my security deposit at the time he was charged more to clean my unit. I would never stay at a place that is unethical!!!

  Owner response: I appreciate the renter's frustration related to the untimely return of the deposit. Upon seeing this review, I contacted the Castle Reef Management office to understand what the delay was, for this has never happened in the past. The management team informed me that it was an honest oversight due to end of month closing of the books. The deposit was returned to renter upon first notification of issue. For future renters we will make sure to communicate for any of our renters to contact us directly should they have issues that are not resolved to their satisfaction. The cleaning fee was an appropriate charge. The listed rate is inclusive of two loads of laundry being completed at time of checkout. This covers the bed clothing and sets of towels from day of departure showers. A guest should expect that if they use a weeks worth of towels and washcloths and make the decision to not complete a load of laundry, they will incur an additional charge. This is clearly stated in the checkout instructions on the buffet on the right hand side of the dining area. As owners, we are very proud of our unit and our goal is to provide a clean and enjoyable environment for our guests.

  My husband and I were thrilled to walk into this lovely clean condo and loved every thing about it. The kitchen was absolutely perfect as it has been remodeled and felt like home. The bathrooms brand new and the Master bedroom was our favourite place having new built in cupboards and drawers. My husband especially loved the computer desk. I would highly recommend this place and the Owners are continuing to update the condo. We do recommend a telephone be installed in the condo as we had to go out and purchase a land phone which had poor reception. I would recommend this propoerty to family and friends. We are golfers and enjoyed the lovely courses in the area. We loved eating especially at the Garlic and several great resturants in the area.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This is the second time that we have stayed in 311. My wife and I could not believe the updates that had been completed! The kitchen and both bathrooms were totally renovated and beautiful. The bedrooms were both redone and painted and the new tile in the hallway looks great! The grounds at Castle Reef continue to be our favorite and the pool area is the best on the beach! We were somewhat concerned about not having a washer and dryer in the unit, but the they were right around the corner from the condo and appear to be brand new!

  The condo was very clean and the view was beautiful. The pool area was so nice. The deck sits up high so that you can enjoy the beach while at the pool. It was nice to have the grocery store right across from the complex. The area is very nice and many great restaurants to choose from! A fun time!
