  Three generations of my family had a lovely Christmas at this warm and well appointed home. Blizzard conditions outside; crackling, wood fire inside. The owner has created a comfortable and beautiful retreat along the shores of Deep Creek Lake. We lacked for nothing. Grandma was toasty and loved her classy bedroom. This home has it all including a heated kitchen floor. We would love to return again to see the summer unfold from the dock. Can't say enough.... The owner was a pleasure to work with. (My family has concluded that this was one of our favorite Christmas holidays in years!)

  We rented this beautiful lakefront home for a long weekend and absolutely loved every minute of it! The house is even more lovely than the pictures, it is beautifully kept, clean and modern inside, and very comfortable with all of the items the owners have thoughtfully provided throughout the space. We felt as if we were visiting someone's home, as opposed to a rental property. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the bedrooms were all very nicely furnished with plenty of space and light. The master bedroom is absolutely gorgeous, with its own sitting area and private balcony. The family room is comfortable and has a great wet bar and full size refrigerator. There's also a very nice fireplace and an exit to the deck, one of several. We made use of the wood burning fireplace each night, and also spent a good amount of time down at the water with the kids who enjoyed climbing around the rocks and fishing. The fire pit was very cozy on chilly nights by the lake and we enjoyed sitting by the fire roasting marshmellows. The walk to the lake is quite easy down the path behind the house, which is lit at night, the walk back up is a little more of a workout but we would gladly do it again! The location is private and yet very close to Wisp and the restaurants. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful location and highly recommend it! While there we went horseback riding at Western Trails which was wonderful, hiked at Swallow Falls, and went ziplining and road the mountain coaster at Wisp.

  The house was great, well-appointed and had almost everything you could need/want+. We truly felt at home the whole stay. The large deck and main level of the house worked well for the kids to "run around" but the property/land is not the best with little ones or elderly (I’d imagine). The only real drawback was the walk up and down the stairs (80 or so steps) to the boat dock/lake (it is manageable but a workout for sure) BUT it definitely beats loading up the car everytime you want to use the lake or lugging things across the parking lot to get to the water. Great deal for the price and the owners were great to work with. WISP, rafting and the northern part of the lake (marinas, food, and stores) are all easy to get to.   The house and property are wonderful. We had a beautiful view of the lake from the house and sitting on the dock with the morning coffee was a daily ritual.

  We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Claudia was very accommodating to us and the property was just beautiful. There are a lot of steps down to the dock, but there is also a gravel path that can be walked/driven down in the even that someone is unable to walk the steps. For us, we had 4 teenagers and 2 women in their 40's and we all had no trouble whatsoever with the steps. They are lighted as well which made it so nice walking to and from the lake and firepit. The firepit was great and we also loved having use of the kayaks and paddle boats. It was great being able to use the lake and not even leave the house! We would definitely stay here again!

  Just returned from a long weekend in this beautiful home! Perfect dock, perfect stay. Claudia was a pleasure to work with. Wont forget the special weekend with the family. Beautiful and decor and lots of space. Great time!

  This house is great, very spacious, nicely decorated, has all amenities. It was very easy to communicate with the owner. The location is great, we hope to come back soon and stay longer.

  This home was a joy to stay in! Our group of 8 (3 couples & 2 single adults) rented this lovely home on the lake for President’s Day weekend in February and could not have enjoyed it more. It has absolutely EVERY amenity you could possibly think of…including a variety of spices for cooking! We came prepared with those kind of things but were pleasantly surprised to find items that helped us prepare even better meals…even a brand new container of coffee. One less thing we had to buy. Very nice to be able to have a fireplace going, candles lit, music playing, cooking and enjoying each other’s company in such a cozy beautifully decorated home. It would be great to come back during the summer to be able to enjoy the easy access to the lake more. It was a nice quick drive to the slopes and the grocery/liquor stores! Would love to come back, especially since the owner Claudia and her husband are great and deal with - very responsive and kind. What a great stay!! Thank you!!

  Please don't hesitate to stay at this beautiful, lakefront home at Deep Creek. The pictures honestly don't do the place justice, especially the exterior picture that accompanies the ad. The loft is actually bigger than the picture makes it seem because there's also a small table and computer workstation in this same loft space. The four kids in my group loved to play their board games and cards in this area. Overall, the home is extremely inviting and comfortable. The owners have really thought of everything. I have to say they are probably the best owners I've ever dealt with. We arrived in mid-January on the night of the first big snowfall of the season. It was a harrowing trip to the house because the roads were steep and curvy and visibility was poor due to the snow. The house is really tucked into the mountain. If you're traveling here in winter, I'd advise coming with 4WD or chains. Makes getting around a lot easier and you don't risk getting stuck. By mid-morning, the snow plows hadn't been through so I called the owners to find out whether there was any hope of getting out that day. They couldn't have been more understanding and responsive. They said the snow plows are usually very prompt, but they would call a local plow anyway. That private plow was at the house in less than an hour and we were able to go snow tubing and skiing at Wisp as planned. The driver of the plow said there were so many abandoned cars on the street due to the heavy snowfall that the county snow plows couldn't get through. The owners were also accessible by e-mail. Because of the icy conditions and all that we needed to do to tidy up the house, pack up the kids and our belongings, I asked if we could check out an hour later than specified. We ended up not needing the extra time, but the owners were extremely understanding of my request and accommodated me without hesitation. I plan on returning as often as I can to this house. I really felt as if we were friends of the owners who were visiting their home. Can't wait to see it in the summertime when I can enjoy the lakefront view from the gorgeous, spacious deck, which is complete with a gas grill, table and chairs.

  This is our 2nd year in a row and we were pleased once again! This house is terrific! It has everything you could possibly want or need. It was clean, fully stocked with firewood, kitchen stuff, linens etc. The views are fantastic. The location is perfect. We will definitely be renting this house again!
