  We always make the best of our family adventures for the six of us, with the understanding that there will be fantastic and also less desirable moments with all experiences. Spent many hours looking for the right place and location for our 1st trip to the Keys. We knew for the most part what to expect when we arrived from prior reviews and conversations with Victor addressing concerns. We don't stand still for too long, so most mornings we were out the door by 7am and didn't return until evening. The one morning that we had the chance to sleep in until 8 didn't quite work out - construction, them boys start early next door. I will have to say that they are within inches of being completed with the project in front and I don't see this as being a future issue. We thought the the place was great for the six of us and the price. Some of the other concerns in prior reviews included stairs to the entry and spiral stairs to the bedrooms - And I say, "That was part of the ambiance, so you get a little work out draggin' your luggage upstairs, deal with it". The furniture isn't brand new show room floor quality - "I wouldn't want your wet bathing suit sitting on my new leather sofa". There is a huge house between the condo and the ocean - "The place is pretty cool and there is still plenty of breath taking views in spite of it". The TV's are old school, but a can't remember ever even turning them on. We opened up the giant sliding glass doors on all levels to give the place a very open feeling as the breeze came through. We played in the pool a couple of evenings and had fun fishing off the dock a few times. We enjoyed the roof top sun deck and the views. You will want to make friends with Jim, kind of the live on site maintenance guru. He has many great stories, and don't tell anyone but he might even have some fishing gear for you. I will agree that the web site needs a little updating, but Victor will send you additional pictures. Make sure you get good directions to the place and information on how to get in - Things you think of at the last minute that didn't get mentioned. Note to self - Bring a Volleyball for the beach next time, or better yet, Victor break down and throw a couple in the utility closet along with 50 bucks of cheap fishing gear... ;)

  The condo was comfortable, and in a safe area. The remodeled kitchen and tile showers are super nice. The furniture is worn out wicker (green). The leather couch is cracking. But it served as a nice safe place while we traveled up and down the keys. In the front yard a huge home is being built. We were not told about the construction in advance. The 7am morning awakenings from construction noise was a problem for us. When I complained to Victor, I was told others had done him wrong, he was tired of being the nice guy, so he no longer gave money back. My credit card company was able to get me some back on our stay, because I had paid most of the bill with personal check. I won't do that again. Please be aware that the spiral staircase makes it extremely hard to get your luggage up to the bedrooms. This is definitely not a place for someone who does not do stairs well. To be fair, I found Victor easy to deal with until I confronted him about the construction situation and the fact we were not informed of it in advance. To me a vacation spot should be a quiet refuge. This place was not quiet.

  My wife and kids spent a week down in Islamorada between Christmas and New Year's Day. One of the best vacations ever! The condo is beautiful, with great views of the Atlantic Ocean. It's located in a quiet, relaxing setting, but is also located near many restaurants and several marinas. We went out fishing a couple days and caught some nice fish. We enjoyed sushi by the pool, which we had to ourselves for the most part. Victor (the property owner) was a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend to anyone who is planning a visit to the Keys. We can't wait to get back! Thanks again, Victor.

  This is a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo that I feel was not accurately represented. The unit is in need of new furniture and linens. Becareful when you look at the view as it is hampered by new construction that is very discreetly represented in the internet photos. Was comfortable but not luxurious as the web site stated.

  We took our kids on this vacation when they were 15&13 and here we are 12 years later and still hear about this as "the best vacation ever". The unit was top notch and the location even better! We went to Disney first and the kids loved this place and the Keys more than Disney! I came to this site to book another vacation here for just the wife and I and we can't wait to come back as we go through our pictures of our last vacation. Florida Keys is in my honest opinion is the best vacation spot in America and with my career, I've seen most of them. The only thing the owner should do is update the pictures because they are old and I told him after we were here that the pictures didn't do this place any justice at all. Can't wait to go back and you wont be disappointed! We have great memories of this vacation and thats why we're going back, this time without the kids!

  that is what you see out the living room or you can go downstairs and cook out next to the garbage....I want to go back to my 3 feet of snow in Boston I have been coming to the Keys for years this is not worth it...god only knows where the owner is.

  Owner response: I wasn't going to respond to this comment but after having travalers question me about it, I feel it is best to tell my side of the story. This guest was staying for a month and shortly after arriving called me to say how this is not at all what he paid for, so I don't know what guest meant by "god only knows where owner is". At issue was a home being built in front of my unit on another property. after much discusion I agreed to refund them $2000. after giving the money to the guest, guest said they decided it would take another $1000 or they would post a negative comment on vrbo. At that point I said go ahead as I felt that I was more than generous with our agreement.I feel our track record speaks for itself. 13 years of managing up to 8 units at this complex and 1 negative comment.I have never asked any guest to post a comment, and I believe that very few people have the time to post comments unless asked to do so by the owner. I can give traveler countless referrals if that will make them feel more comfortable.Thank you o

  This rental at Port Of Call has got to be the best kept secret in the keys. Nestled back off the beaten path, this quiet 5 building group of dual condos has everything you would ever need for a peaceful, quiet get away in Islamorada. The two level units are quiet and very comfortable with everything you would need for your stay. The pool was clean and well maintained with a great beach and dock area leading right into the ocean for those great sunsets in the keys. The docks were set up for boat tie up and there was even a floating dock for PWC'S. The kitchen was loaded with everything needed to either cook in our bring in meals, which we did alot of on our anniversary stay. Parking was located underneath the unit and a grill was provided beachside as well as near the unit. The condo is also located 2 blocks from a food mart, hardware store and great little resturant for close shopping on foot if desired. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were set up with either a shower or tub on the second floor. These units also have great screened porches off the bed rooms and living rooms oceanside, with a staircase to the roof for a roof level observation deck or sunbathing area, that has great views of the ocean and area sights. We looked at other areas during our stay and would highly reccommend this rental to everyone we know that wants a great get away at a really reasonable price value. We rate this a 5 star *****
