The Cattuzzo House in McCloud is conveniently located near all recreational activities in the Mt. Shasta area. We have tried to make the Cattuzzo House a family friendly place to relax and unwind. We have furnished the house with extremely comfortable furniture while leaving some of the old McCloud features and finishes. The outside includes a completely fenced yard with a large lawn area. The home is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the McCloud golf course.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in this very comfortable home! The wood burning stove with the glass door is awesome- we loved building a fire and watching it burn while drinking hot cocoa. We spent the day sledding @ bunny flat & loved it. Lots of small & large hills for the kids. Input from the kids: "It's roomy and warm!", "I like the dart game", "Dogopoly was my favorite game" & " The big bear scared me". Rates
$175/night for 1-4 people,$10 per night per additional person. 2 night minimum,3 nights on holidays. Winter rates: Add $15/night Nov 1 to April 30. Plus 8% TOT tax and $60-$90 cleaning fee depending on # of people. $300 deposit due at booking, refundable after checkout inspection. Cancellation Policy: Full refund less $50 if cancelled over 30 days before rental. No refund if cancelled 30 days or less before rental. We accept Checks, Paypal and Credit Cards through PayPal site.

About the owner: We currently make the San Francisco east bay our home. I have been self employed as a general contractor for 30 years and my wife thoroughly enjoys being a preschool teacher.
Why the Owner Chose Mount Shasta:
Whether it was camping, boating or staying in cabins we used to rent, our family vacations usually involved getting outside into the fresh open air with our 3 daughters and yellow lab. One of our favorite places to camp was always the Lake Shasta area. During these trips, if we were not on the boat all day, we would come up to the McCloud area to play in the rivers and waterfalls to escape the heat down at the lake. It was during one of our trips to McCloud in 2005 at the town's Heritage Day Festival that we decided to look for a second home in this area. I have never found another area where everyone was so down to earth and friendly. Still to this day I can feel my blood pressure lower when I go north to visit the town or work on the house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This house instantly reminded me of my grandparents home up in Washington when I first saw it. I remember sitting in their living room watching the TV and looking at the fire through the glass doors on the wood burning stove.
