  Just writing to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at the Comfort House in Galena. My family had such a great time celebrating Mother's Day weekend there and my mother just loved your house. Everything was beautiful and meticulously maintained. We had a great time using the hot tub and just relaxing in the great room watching TV. It is obvious that you put a lot of time and money into making a beautiful resort home, yet it was comfortable and homey too. We had everything we needed including instructions for operating the hot tub and expanding the kitchen table. The view was also breathtaking and very private. We definitely plan to come back! Thank you for all your help.

  Couldn't have stayed at a better place with six of my greatest friends. Having a king-size bed in each bedroom was a big plus, as was the 8-person hottub. Super comfy, close to town, PERFECT!!

  Our family thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at the Comfort House, over our daughter's spring break. Just as the photos depict, it's immaculately clean and very easy to settle into right away. The owner quickly responded to inquiries and was great to deal with. The home is equipped nicely with everything a family needs, including bath products (a nice touch) and there were sweet decorative springtime items around the home that made us feel especially welcome on Easter Sunday. We prepared several meals from the fully-equipped kitchen including a cookout on the nice grill, used the fireplace, the fire pit, and the hot tub was enjoyed daily. It's in a very private, quiet setting and the star gazing at night was particularly stunning and enjoyed by all. Our entire experience was wonderful! Galena has so many fun and beautiful things to offer - we enjoyed walking near Thunder Bay Falls Park in The Territory, where we saw an Eagle soaring overhead, and Casper Bluffs is a favorite remote place of ours to explore. We enjoy taking the scenic back roads around the area. Thanks for offering your beautiful home as a vacation rental.

  Our family group of 7 (including 2 children) recently vacationed at "The Comfort House". We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was beautiful, well maintained, and exceeded all of our expectations. It was a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing time with family. We also enjoyed sightseeing and shopping in downtown Galena, and we enjoyed spending time at the owner's clubhouse. We would like to visit again and would definitely recommend this home to others.

  Comfort House surpassed our expectations in comfort, cleanliness and tasteful decor. It is located in a very peaceful, beautiful setting. We will definitely continue to stay here on our future trips to Galena. We highly recommend staying at Comfort House.

  My family and I spent a week at The Comfort House from 2/18/13-2/25/13. The house is very nice and comfortable, just as pictured and described in the listing. We enjoyed the lovely fireplace and hot tub while watching the snow fall during our stay. We spotted several deer in the woods behind the house one day. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was very well equipped. We would stay here again if we traveled to Galena

• Wonderful Winter Getaway

  Our family (4 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed a wonderful winter getaway over the three day weekend. We cooked at home two of the nights using the grill and well-stocked kitchen. Our third night we enjoyed dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant in Galena and found treats at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The non-skiers in the family enjoyed ample shopping opportunities. For the rest of us, two days of skiing made the hot tub a welcome retreat as the temperatures were chilly. We took a nice walk through the woods on many of the the well-marked trails available nearby and enjoyed the local wildlife - hawks, raccoons, and deer. Thank you for allowing us to use you home! We hope to return soon!

  My husband and I came here with our four children for a relaxing post Christmas vacation. We have been coming to the Galena Territory for over twenty years and all agree that this is the nicest place we have rented. The furnishings are outstanding; the furniture is so unique and cozy and the details in the bedding and draperies are beautiful. We loved the house and all of its amenities. The Jacuzzi is very clean and inviting and the scenery is natural and tranquil. Aside from just enjoying the house, we enjoyed walks, trips to Galena and skiing. We would love to come back in the summer to be able to use the screened porch and fire pit.

  My girlfriend and I wanted a wknd getaway from Chicago and found this wonderful house. The pictures do not do it justice. It is 10 x better than what you see on the website. The street and property are very private The hot tub was maintained perfectly. The place was spotless, stocked with firewood and all. They have a working fireplace in the living room area and a fire pit outside... We used both. It was more house than we needed just being the 2 of us but 6-8 people would be very, very comfortable. There are king beds in each bedroom and each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The ceilings are vaulted with skylights so it feels very open yet still "woodsy and cabin like". There is tons of extra bedding. We stayed in and cooked one evening and there are more than enough dishes and cooking equiptment along with a dual propane gas grill. Our steaks came out perfect. We will most certainly be back. The drive to down was maybe 7-10 minutes, tops. We were just blown away. This house is truly spotless and perfectly maintained. I always seem to be dissapointed because usually the online pictures make the places seem nicer than they are but this was the exact opposite. Great find. Sandra, the owner/coordinator was pleasant and easy to work with regarding paperwork, special requests etc... We will most certainly be back.

  This was a lovely home for just the two us to unwind for a few days. All was as described in the listing, clean and maintained well. The hot tub was perfect! The kitchen was well-stocked and just the right size for the minimal cooking we did at the house. The coffee and tea provided was a nice touch! We especially enjoyed the outside deck since our weather was so nice at the beginning of our stay. We recommend going to Otto's for a meal - a great alternative to the busy downtown area. We would stay at this home again in the future - and hope to have the opportunity.
