The highlight of our trip to New York was coming home each night to this lovely appartment. The attention to detail and the thoughtful touches added by the owners to ensure a lovely stay were outstanding. This family of five spent a week here and loved the location - one short block from Q line into Manhattan, spoilt for choice with the restaurants close by and a very convenient supermarket a five minute walk away - great to be able to self cater and have some quiet family meal time. David made a point of checking in on us and made us feel very welcome - . Fingers crossed we can return very soon.

Hello David and Dionne!!, It´s been almost a month since we left the apartment... Our family of six (my husband and I, our 16 year old niece and our 6, 4 and 2 year old children) stayed there for two weeks in August and I must say it was the best decision I took for a vacation in NYC. The pictures really don´t make justice to the place. It is the perfect size (unless you want to spend a lot of time in the apartment... which I don´t think many people will if they travel to the City); it is inmaculate clean, the decoration is warm and everything we needed was there. A big plus: WI-FI to plan the trips and AC for the hot summer days. The area is so nice: hip, save and quiet. So well located: with many different subway lines around the corner. Great for exploring the City and great for exploring Brooklyn, which we loved. It was very nice to be able to get back to the apartment after a long day of sightseeing, turn on the AC if it was too hot, and just relax in Brooklyn. The back patio is definitely a big plus with small kids too because they can play and run around while you are busy. Last but not least: the owners, David and Dioone and their nice family are always around to help, give advise and great conversation. Absolutely great!!

I am writing this review nearly a year after my family and I stayed in this apt. On the bright side, my procrastination has allowed me much time to think back on our stay and compare it to visiting other cities and stays in hotels. Without doubt, this was one of the best apartments and locations that we have visited. The highlights: - The apt. was clean and furnished with all the comforts of home. (Because we were traveling with children, the fact that the washer and dryer were so easily assessable was truly a plus) - The parking was easy to navigate. - Subways were a short walk away and brought us directly to the locations that we wished to visit. - The market right around the corner had everything we could have wanted. - Prospect Park was a only a short walk away. I highly recommend this apt.

My family of four and one friend stayed here for four nights to celebrate my wife's birthday in NYC. First, let me tell you that the owner and his family are incredibly good with communication. Emails were always returned very promptly (within a couple hours) and I was given his personal cell number to use if needed. I like to ask a lot of questions, as I'm detail oriented. The communication was always pleasant and complete -- I didn't feel like a number at a deli counter. Now let's talk about the apartment. Instead of being furnished "modern but cheap", it was furnished and stocked the way you would want to do in your own home. The dishes were Crate & Barrel, the knives in the kitchen were heavy and high end, the glassware also very nice, not Wal Mart stuff. Appliances all of a higher nature. The beds were very comfortable, nice linens, etc. With 3 adults and 2 kids, we had plenty of space. My wife's friend who has a bad back, slept on the sofa, and said it was very comfortable. Finally, when it comes to location you can't do much better either. Prospect Park is a short walk away, which is like Brooklyn's version of Central Park. There were good restaurants of multiple varieties (different styles and price ranges) within a 5 min walk. The B and Q subway train stop is 2 minutes away and takes you most places you'd want to go; easy connections everywhere else. This was a big plus with two young kids, it helped minimize the inevitable walking you have to do in NYC. This was our second trip to NYC, and compared to our first trip where we got a hotel room that was tiny, dirty, and noisy, this apartment was an oasis of serenity, for about the same price. Highly recommended and we hope to get back there someday!

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our 9-night stay in this fabulous garden apartment. After spending full days sight-seeing among the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, it was nice to return to this quiet, charming neighborhood each evening with plenty of space for everyone to decompress. Travel to and from all of NYC's tourist destinations was quick and painless with several subway lines located nearby. The neighborhood is full of character, and it contains many great restaurants as well as conveniently located grocery stores. (Note: The local grocery stores do not carry wine, but there is a wine/liquor store that is very close.) The apartment itself is extremely clean, tastefully decorated, and stocked with anything a traveler would need. David was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire reservation process, and he offered several great suggestions during our stay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to experience the atmosphere of a great Brooklyn neighborhood while in NYC. If we were to return to the city we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We were in NY for our son's wedding and brought our younger children to stay for a week. The townhome was our home base and we loved it! So much nicer than a hotel - relaxing and laid back with everyone having some space! Metro stops are very close and area restaurants are great. Safe area with so much in walking distance - Prospect Park and Zoo, grocery stores, video store, laundry... And we did all of the tourist activities in NYC - just hopped on the subway and we were in the thick of things within 30 minutes...911 Memorial, Broadway show, Empire State Building, Central Park and Time Square. Wonderful outdoor space at the townhome gave us a chance to decompress. Unit is clean and charming like a real home, rather than "bargain store chic" like some other units we considered. You can't go wrong here!

We feel very fortunate that this flat was available for the days we needed it. It has been beautifully renovated and very nicely decorated (looks exactly as shown in the vrbo photos), is extremely clean and well-maintained, and was very comfortable for me and my three friends. I can't imagine a better location--close to several subway lines (the one we used most often is one block away), and just a block from a commercial area with lots of great restaurant choices. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The cost was considerably less than renting two acceptable hotel rooms for our group, and it was much more pleasant being in this great neighborhood than in a typical hotel setting. We arrived by car and had no trouble finding a parking place on the street. We left it parked there while in the city. I'm hoping my next trip coincides with this flat being available.

Our family of 7-- my husband, 5 children and myself-- stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. It was perfect!! The apartment was very clean and stocked with everything from pots/pans/dishes to wine opener and laundry detergent! The owners are lovely and were very helpful regarding parking, subway, grocery stores and any other question we had for them. It was so nice to spend the days busy, busy in the city and then come back to this adorable brownstone and relax and feel very much at home. We definitely recommend it and hope to be back ourselves!

                      Year Purchased: 2001

                      Why the Owner Chose Brooklyn:
This building is our home - we live in a duplex above the rental unit. The unit itself is an in-law apartment for much of the year, so it is very well cared for. We chose to make this property our home because the neighborhood and location are wonderful - not only is the neighborhood itself great, but it is a quick and easy 15-30 minute subway ride to the key sites of Manhattan.

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Close to major subways B,Q (1 block away); 2,3 (3 blocks); 4,5,N,R (6 blocks). It is about a 15 minute subway ride to lower Manhattan or Union Square. Within 15 minute walk to: Prospect Park, Prospect Park Zoo, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Grand Army Plaza (farmer’s market), and Barclays Center.
