We just had one of the most amazing girls weekends! We thought we would go downtown or to the beach but this place literally has so much to offer we only went out on Saturday to celebrate. The pictures really don't do this place justice, you walk in and immediately feel relaxed and so glad you decided to get this house. STUNNING!Recommended for: Girls getaway

Our family of 9 celebrated our mother's 80th birthday at this amazing property where we literally never left to see the rest of Montecito and Santa Barbara. The amenities are amazing, and are by far, matchless. We have an annual family reunion, and we've never found a better house. Like others, the photos don't do the home justice. The minute you walk in, you're left breathless with the expansive views of the living room extending out to the patio, fireplace, jacuzzi and pool areas. Just amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked, and there's tons of room for multi-chefs to work. The bedrooms are super comfy and cozy. We'll definitely come back to the house if we decide to visit the area, and this house is going to be tough to beat anywhere else. Julie and Paul are gracious hosts, and they took care of us from the minute I contacted them, and welcomed us upon arrival. Their communications are all answered promptly and our security deposit was returned in no time. Our group of twenty~ ages ranging from 1 - 71, stayed here for a long weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful. Swimming in the heated pool in January was a definite highlight. Drinking coffee in the jacuzzi each morning was another added bonus! The children & even SOME of the adults mastered the trampoline. Ping Pong & pool tournaments took place throughout the weekend. Drinking wine by the fire place was a nightly event! Everyone in our group was entertained & some never even left the property during the 4 days we stayed here. Others walked to the beach or to nearby stores for quick outings. We all voted on the last night of our stay~ and decided that we should have our family reunion here again next year! I highly recommend this property for large groups or families who want an "all inclusive" environment.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The photos do not do this house justice - it exceeded all expectations the moment we walked through the front door. We were initially worried that there was not enough space for our 12 guests, but there was plenty of room in the house. The guests loved the backyard and we made full use of the pool, in-ground trampoline, bocce ball court, and ping pong table. The owners are wonderful to deal with and we would definitely love to stay at the house again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

When we walked into this property it exceeded all expectations. I had sent the VBRO link to many of my friends that were to attend our weekend getaway but few of them had taken the time to go through the video and pictures (which of course I did, that's why I chose this property). And when they walked in, they were blown away with the way the living room opens up onto the patio and swimming pool, the newness of the decor/architecture, the amazing fire place on the patio, and all the amenities to have fun. Basically, if you can't have a good time at this property, good luck having a good time anywhere :-)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Our family of 9 had a wonderful week in your home. Our children were ages 4 to 10. We had more than enough room and entertainment for everyone. Our favorite time of the day was the beautiful, sunny mornings walks we took on Butterfly Beach!! This is the first time we rented through VRBO, we were very happy and pleased with our stay. What an amazing property! This home easily accommodated three families with teenage children and it never felt cramped. Plenty of space and activities, both inside and out, to keep everyone entertained. The proximity to Vons is a huge "plus", as it made it easy to get all the groceries for our Father's Day BBQ. We had a party with approximately 30 guests, and everyone enjoyed the indoor/outdoor atmosphere and beautiful backyard. The beds were very comfortable. Our family stayed at the paradise home for four nights. We were impressed with this home for many reasons! The home was immaculate, cozy and ready for entertaining guests. Julie was very accommodating to our needs and wonderful to work with. We highly recommend this home for a wonderful vacation experience. The location is close to the beach, a grocery and misc. shopping within a very short walk made everything very convent. You will not find a more perfect place to stay in Monticito and the Santa Barbara area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This was the third year our sailing team has rented from Paul and Julie and they have always been very accommodating, checking the temp of the pool or providing extra bedding. The backyard has plenty of 'toys' to keep everyone entertained, it was perfect and sure beats staying in a hotel!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

I am a local to Santa Barbara and this house offers an ideal location and plenty of space for groups of friends and family wanting a weekend getaway in Santa Barbara. I hosted a reunion weekend for several couples at the house and it was one of the best weekends of our lives - the gorgeous Santa Barbara weather and this HUGE, beautiful, and cozy house made it all possible. The house was our home base - the kitchen was well equipped for group meals, the location was close to grocery stores, starbucks, and walking distance to East Beach and Butterfly beach, and the amenities made us feel right at home - lots of towels, comfortable bedding, washer/dryer, hardwood floors, decorations, etc and we loved the trampoline, hot tub, big screen TVs, and privacy. Wow - Thanks for a fantastic time in Santa Barbara. We just wrapped up a reunion of college roommates (+ families) and everything was absolutely perfect. The photos don't do justice to the house! The bedrooms are far enough away from the living area that we could put kids down for naps or the night and not have to worry about waking them up. There was nothing lacking in the furnishings -- plenty of sheets, blankets, beds, couches, etc... It was also really nice to be so close to the lower village in Montecito -- totally convenient to Vons, the local restaurants, and an easy bike ride to the beach. I'm going to be looking for reasons to sign up for another weekend!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My wife and I rented the home for our family to stay with us when we got married. It surpassed all of our expectations. We are so jealous that we cannot have one complete wall of our house open up to an outdoor patio all the time. The home was spacious enough to accommodate 10 adults without feeling crowded. Three full bathrooms were sufficient to prevent waiting. The amenities, pool, trampoline, pool table, hottub, were all well maintained. There was plenty of seating and the outdoor activities so inviting that we didn't even want to sit inside in front of the huge television. There were minor incomplete construction details (unfinished outlet, unfinished bathroom trim), but they were overshadowed by all the great things. Master bed was firm. All rooms were nicely decorated, just as if you were stepping into your own home. Towels were well maintained. Washer and dryer worked well. Kitchen was well stocked for large crowds, including serving platters. For those who love running, there are sidewalks available all the way to the beach (1.5 miles give or take). Grocery and coffee shop are within waking distance. Renters were responsive and everything was ready on time. Had my heart set on staying oceanside, but those book up fast and cost significantly more. Was prepared to be disappointed, but was speechless instead. Would highly recommend this property to others. Our friend was getting married in Santa Barbara, and we thought it would be fun for us to rent a house for 4 couples instead of staying at the hotel. After MUCH online searching to locate a great house near the hotel, we stumbled upon this gem. The owners are lovely and were very responsive to all of our emails. When we arrived, we could not believe how amazing the property was! The photos online don't even do the place justice, and our expectations were totally exceeded. We couldn't believe how spacious the living room is, and it opens completely to another outdoor living room through retractable glass walls. The indoor open living/dining room has a huge island and fit everyone for breakfast with room to spare. We spent an evening outside around the beautiful fireplace, talking and drinking local wine. This house is perfect for entertaining -- and we will be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.

We rented the two properties of Julie which I found through VRBO for our family's yearly summer reunion/get together last week of July - August 2011.. The two properties have their own beauty. All of my family members had a blast. It was perfect for our objective to have quality family time and family bonding. This property 323560 has a huge space and a very welcoming atmosphere. Both properties were very clean and sweet smelling when we arrived late night. Our family visited from Michigan and Florida and we all loved our stay at this home. The description and pictures shown are accurate but you have to stay here to appreciate all it's beauty and comfort, like the glass doors that swing open to allow the beauty of the outdoors in. This home is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our 6 kids. Rarely did we leave and when we did there was plenty to do like the beach, zoo, Montecito, State Street, all within walking distance. Very close to a grocery store and Starbucks which come in very handy for such a large group. Julie and Paul are wonderful owners to deal with, along with Rachel. We would definitely recommend to friends and others looking to spend some time in the Santa Barbara area.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We stayed at Julie and Paul's lovely getaway with 5 couples and 3 babies, and it was perfect. The house is beautifully decorated and landscaped, very quiet, with lots of living and playing space. Julie and Paul are very sweet and made us feel welcome. The photos almost do the house justice. This would be a great location to host a shower, getaway with friends, or just relax in luxury. There is also a wood-burning gas fireplace outside for night gatherings.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
