We had 4 couples and kids vacationing here for March Break this year and this house was everything that we could have asked for and more! Lots of space, privacy, and beautiful amenities. The house itself was stunning and clean. When the pool got a little cloudy all it took was a quick email and someone was there to fix it! Across the road is an amazing mountain range with tons of trails for hiking and mountain biking....we rented mountain bikes for the week at Cactus cycle and they delivered them and picked them up at the end of the week. We hiked the trails daily, hiking to the peaks of a number of mountains with the kids (trails were a little challenging in some areas but doable for our 8 and 11 year olds)! We highly recommend this property and will definitely try to rent it again on our next trip to Arizona :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

On our annual trip to Arizona in December we decided to try a new vacation rental. The home we had previously rented was no longer available and we were a bit nervous to stay somewhere new. We should not have been! The home is fantastic and way more than we expected. From the views off the balcony, the pool, spa, to the beautifully furnished inside with pool tables, tvs, great kitchen etc. - this place was perfect for us. This was our first stay in Ahwatukee as the previous rental we stayed at was in Scottsdale. What a little gem of a community! Private and close to everything we needed- grocery just at the bottom of the hill, lots of shopping, restaurants, theater etc. I would highly recommend Z'Tejas to anyone wanting to try out the southwest style food. We are also avid mountain bikers and the management company told us the home was close enough to not have to drive. What an understatement! The park enterance was only three houses away and we were able to ride almost every day. Anyone who likes to hike/bike will find this a great place to explore. Needless to say we have already booked for next year and are looking forward to this being our new "vacation spot". -DavidRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

My family and I had the best time in Arizona and staying at this house was so fun. The property was very clean and maintained meticulously. Everything that was listed in the ad was exactly what we received. I have already told our friends and family about our stay and the amazing house and they are looking forward to their visit to Arizona and staying at this house. I would recommend Macayo's for good Mexican food. The folks that manage this property thought of everything. I couldn't think of a thing I would change. We were treated like royalty throughout the whole visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

The house was beautiful BUT that's as far as my positive experience goes. The location is inconvenient to get to the grocery store, entertainment, and surrounding attractions. I wouldn't recommend staying here for the following reasons: 1. The management company did not provide enough towels. We had 12 people and 10 bath towels for the entire stay. No daily maid service so we were forced to share towels for 4 days. There were also NO pool towels provided. 2. The jacuzzi was dirty and cloudy. It was gross and we didn't want to use it after the first night. 3. The refrigerator in the kitchen did not work, so we were forced to use the fridge in the garage for the entire stay. The management company said they were constantly have issues with the refrigerator in the kitchen. It is a sub-zero fridge that is connected to the house. 4. The big screen television in the main family room did not work. This family area had the biggest couch and the cable would not turn on. We weren't able to watch movies together in the nice family room. 5. The bathroom toilet upstairs did not flush. It was un-usable for the entire trip and everyone upstairs was forced to use the toilet downstairs. 6. The fireplace outside near the pool didn't work and was leaking gas the entire trip. Every time we were outside hanging out, we had to endure the smell of natural gas. 7. The pots and pans were all damaged and would burn the food we cooked every time we used them. 8. We had accumulated alot of trash during out 4 days there. We had paid an cleaning fee as part of the rental. The management company charged us an extra $187 for the accumulated trash and "extra" clean up. We seriously got ripped off. 9. The management company said there was a pillow in the bedroom that was missing a BUTTON. They charged us to replace THE ENTIRE SET of pillows so (in their words) "the pillows are matching". We DID NOT damage the pillow and they got an entire set of pillows on our dime. Also, I'm still waiting for the receipt for the "extra" charges. Lets see if they send it. So if you decide to stay at this house, be prepared to deal with portions of the house that do not work, a dirty pool/jacuzzi, AND deal with a management company that is going to 'nickel and dime' you. Take pictures of everything inside the house before you stay there because they might blame you for damages that weren't your fault... and might even make you replace/buy the entire houseOwner response: How unfortunate for this to be handled this way. There were no complaints during their stay on any of the items posted. Renter had unauthorized party that resulted in noise complaints and leaving the home in a disgraceful state. Confetti & glitter, streamers, and tons of garbage throughout. This caused the cleaning company to charge us an additional cleaning fee. (as stated right in the rental contract this is the renters responsibility) It is doubly unfortunate that instead of accepting the minimal charges the renter has decided to post this in retaliation. To clear up the other matters- not one of which was ever brought up while they stayed at the home. If any of these complaints actually existed a simple phone call to us would have had it taken care of the same day: *Spa was drained and cleaned the same day they checked in (this is done after every rental). The girls staying were shown when they checked in how to operate it- included opening the spa, showing them the temperature and controls. *There is no problem with the tv or cable (nor was one reported by the renter) and they were shown how to use it at check in. *The pots and pans are stainless steel and they are new. Stainless steel needs to be cooked in at a lower temperature. *There was no reported problem with the outdoor fireplace by the renter and it works fine on inspection. *There is no problem with any of the toilets and nothing reported by this renter. No repairs have been made and an inspection shows there are no problems. Also, the comment about having to go downstairs to use the toilet... there are three bathrooms upstairs. *Daily maid service.... this is not a hotel. This is a vacation rental, it has a washer and dryer for laundry use. (also clearly stated in the rental contract they signed). *As for towels- the linen service shows (in addition to the hand towels, wash cloths, shampoos, soaps etc) that 20 bath towels were left at the home. Have receipt. We would have been happy to drop more off had they called. *The fridge in the kitchen did have a service call on it, there was another provided for their use. Our cleaning bill from the independent cleaning company, which is a professional and respected company was provided to the renter, along with pictures. It took them 14.5 hours to clean up the mess left behind by this renter. Vacation Rentals are peoples homes and fortunately 99% of people are respectful and treat them as such, this was not the case here.

What an amazing house ! My family had a fantastic time at Kachina. The pool was so fun. i lost track of how many TV's this mansion had. My kids each got their own room, own TV, loved the Xbox with the big flat screen. The all learned how to play pool on the pool table. We felt like movie stars staying in this place. It was extremely clean and had everything we could have asked for. The house was all setup upon our arrival. We'll definitely be back and recommend to all our friends. I'm coming back with my friends for a golfing week for sure. 10/10 this place is spectacular.
