  The mobile home is roomy, nice, comfortable!! Perfect for multi family getaways. There are two decks on the river, fun! Everything worked, but there were cob webs with bugs, and spider nests, in the kitchen, should have been removed. Closet in Master Bedroom smells like dog urine? Cruising on a raft in the river is fun. The hot springs are wonderful. Would recommend. We should do this again sometime.

  We took our adult kids for 4 days and enjoyed the location. It is very close to everything but private and quiet enough to seem like you are away from it all. Reservations with the owner was easy. The property could use a deep cleaning,and some upgrades. Maybe it should be mentioned that the house is actually a manufatured home, it didnt matter to us, however when we were looking for the property it would have been helpful. We only ate out once and that was at Los Arcos steak house- it is VERY pricey. All and all a good trip!

  My family and I spent a week at the river house and barring a few minor problems had an absolutely wonderful time. It is a superb location, only a few minutes to the lake, very peaceful and quiet, wonderful view, convenient to shopping and several hot springs locations which are perfect after a long day at the lake, very friendly neighborhood, the house is big and comfortable with plenty of parking if you have a boat. We went tubing down the river twice and due to a storm were lucky enough to be able to get out at the house, which is quite convenient. Caught a few fish, but it was a little difficult because of the overgrown weeds from all the rain, but from what I understand they are cut down frequently. The back deck is the best part, we sat out there most of the time without a single bug bothering us, it gets nice a cool at night and is very relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a comfortable place to stay, it's wonderful for families. Extremely convenient having a washer and dryer there. Only problem I could say was that it has a cooler and not A/C, I'm sure most people know it doesn't work well during monsoon season, but it cooled the house enough for comfort. Otherwise, if you want to have a great place to stay and enjoy a vacation this is it for sure! Everyone I dealt with along the way was very nice, helpful and friendly. Hope you have the chance to enjoy this as much as my family did!

  i stayed at the river house for a month with my young twins. the location is great, right on the river and in a quiet part of town. but the house itself is not up to the standard you'd expect for the money. the deck furniture was mostly rotting or broken. the swamp cooler didn't work. the rug in the house needed to be professionally cleaned. other kitchen items were either not working or not as clean as i'd expect.

  Owner response: This property has alway been a favorite of our numerous vacation rentals. Carpets were professionally cleaned a couple months prior to this visitor. Evaportaive A/C's were turned off this time of year from the winter. Numerous urine stains were left from this visitor's dogs. For this, part of her deposit was witheld. As a result, she was highly irate, calling and writing numerous times screaming and using profanities, and even placing a "curse" on those involved. :) :) :). We have emails to verify.

  Open the windows & listen to the River flow by, or grill out on the deck while fishing. We sat outside on the large deck & enjoyed the unobstructed views of the Rio Grande, surrounding cliffs and mountains for hours. Very comfortable vacation rental with everthing you need except the food that you bring. I don't think you can beat this vacation rental for being right on the water, convenient access to Elephante Butte Lake and being equiped right for a fun & enjoyable vacation.

  I've been to Elephante Butte Lake before with the family and camped on the sandy beach, but renting this place changed my mind about how to have fun at EB lake and the TorC area. The house is located below the EB Damn Site on the Rio Grande River. A very cool area that I didn't realize existed until booking this rental. Across the street from the house is a neat little horse stable. Inside the house feels like you are on the water with the river running below the outside deck. The accommodations inside are spacious, comfortable and clean. We spent most of our time, when we were at the house, on the back deck laughing, fishing and enjoying the perfect weather. Caught a few trout & catfish. A big advantage to renting this house is you can fish off the back deck and not have to spend time & money running around getting a fishing license for everyone. The place comes with several fishing poles too. We caught most of the fish with Hot Dogs we had with us. The house has several inner tubes and a Raft which we used often to enjoy the river and lake. If you don't want to float downstream you can tie a line to shore and enjoy the cool water in place. About 100 yards downshore from the house is a small set of rapids which was neat to see and hear in the background. EB lake is very close to this house. It took us less time to get to the Main marina at EB than some of our friends who have a house lakeside. Elephante Butte is a Large lake about 40 miles long. This house is located off the main recreational area of the Lake (Park, Damn Site, Golf Course, Marina, Beach area). I would highly recommend this house for access to Elephante Butte Lake because it is so close to everthing, has plenty of space to keep a RV or boat and it's not in the beach crowd, but still is on the water and close to everything. If you rent this house or another house in the area, try to check out the the Mineral Hot Springs. I recommend Riverbend Hot Springs, which sits on the River about a mile downstream from this house. Riverbend Hot Springs has several pools of hot water at different tempertures and the view of the river from the springs is amazing. It also has a dock and access to the river. We rafted down to it from the rental house and found it very relaxing after the river ride. TorC is the Villiage in the EB surrounding area with shops, restaurants and a SpacePort Richard Branson is building. We plan on checking all this out on our next visit
