We had a great time at the chalet. Spacious and ideal for three couples. However, we were very disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the house.

We just returned from staying here for 3 nights/4 days...it was a very nice chalet!! What a wonderful view. We had enough room for all 9 of us! The chalet is beautiful & well equiped with everything you need. Beds are comfy...bathrooms are great with jetted tubs! The directions they supplied us were right on target.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We found your chalet on VRBO, and were impressed with the welcoming feel of the pictures. When we arrived, it was much more than we expected. Your home is warm, homey, and very well equiped. We lacked for nothing. But I think the best part of your chalet is the location. You're close enough to Gatlinburg to take advantage of the "tourist attractions" downtown but situated far enough from town (maybe 11 miles) to feel the majesty of the Smoky Mountains which surround you everywhere. Our favorite part? The black bear who climbed onto the balcony one evening. We would have taken more pictures, but probably scared it away with all our screaming with delight. It was awesome. We went to Dollywood, Cade's Cove, hiked to Ramsey Cascade Falls, and played tourist in downtown (definitely take the Trolley). Again, thanks so much for a wonderful trip.

This really is an amazing place. We had a great time. Clingman's Dome; however is not the second highest point east of the Mississippi. That distinction belongs to Mount Craig at 6,647ft.

What a lovely home!!! We had such a wonderful time. So much to do in Gatlinburg that we have to return to continue the fun. We really loved the game room. We spent every evening there. No Television just good family fun. Hiking was great, don't miss Porter's Creek Trail. The art district is nice for shoppers. If you want barbeque, Bennett's was very good. The house was well equipped, clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable bedding. You have a beautiful home!!!

We (family of 4) stayed in Wayne & Karen's home a couple weeks ago. The home was very nice and certainly spacious. The beds were very comfortable and everyone enjoyed the place. Our favorite part was spending the evening grilling on the deck just enjoying the view. The home is a bit outside of Gatlinburg, but that was perfect for us. We didn't want to be in the middle of it all. We whitewater rafted with NOC (in NC), hit the aquarium (awesome!), did Dollyworld (just ok, good coasters!), horseback riding down the road (go early in the day, the horses get worn out later). I would certainly recommend this home, it was a very nice vacation. Thanks. The Seavey's

What a great vacation! There were 6 in our party, four adults and two girls. The girls were in the basement bedroom which was perfect for them to stay up later than the adults. All the beds were very comfortable. We made use several evenings of the game room and the hot tub. During our visit we used the recommended link for white water rafting, had a blast! We also ‘tubed’ on the river, did some hiking, horse-back riding from the stables up the road, sight-seeing in town and golfing. One week was not enough time! The only problem was the short power outages on the mountain which was out of Wayne and Karen's control. (Be sure to bring a couple flashlights just in case) It was a near perfect vacation. Thanks for making your home available!Karen, Mike, John, MaryAnn, Kalle and Madie

Our stay was fantastic! We had six in our party...the two boys took the basement, the two girls took the upstairs, and my husband & I took the main floor. It was perfect! We enjoyed the hot tub, the game room, and made some good meals in the kitchen. We did a couple puzzles on the one rainy day we had. We had a very good meal at The Alamo. The boys enjoyed golfing at Cobbly Nob Golf Course. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who is visiting the Smoky Mountains area. It definitely beats a hotel and it is affordable.
