  This was our second year a this house. Cannot beat the location! The house is old but well maintained and there is plenty of room inside but be aware there are no indoor showers or tubs. The showers are located under the deck outside. They are private, have hot water, and are lighted.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

  It was a beautiful, serene very homey cottage, I loved it as soon as I stepped into it as did all of our visitors! I would like to go back next year and make it our new summer spot. Very peaceful and relaxing and the neighbors & neighborhood was very welcoming, Loved it !!!

  This house is ideal for doing nothing at all or doing everything. Fully equiped, all we needed was pillow cases and sheets. We shopped, had good food at local spots. Swam, rocked on the porch. Walked the beach. Steaks on the grill. Stayed connected with the Wi-fi. There were so many beds to choose from and plenty of bathrooms. Friendly neighbors, parking for at least 4 cars. Close to grocery stores, shopping, pharmacy,movies. Who would have expected butterflies, hummingbirds and dragon flies at the beach in September. It was a magical week.

  This is the 3rd year that we have stayed at this place and we all agree that it is great! Very spacious and very well equipped. I spend the week with all my children and grandchildren and enjoy a lot of precious family time.....shopping, sunning, fishing, and playing board games in the evening. There's plenty of room for everyone as well as other CT relatives who come to visit. I find it so relaxing sitting in one of the many rockers on the porch overlooking the ocean with my coffee in the morning. Our whole family talks all year about our annual vacation at the beach. We have stayed at several other places in the area, but none are as comfortable, spacious, and accommodating as this one!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  We rented this house for a week. Its a fine large beach house with a semi private beach on a nice road surrounded by very nice beach homes. The house is an older house, creaky floors, exposed electrical, no insulation, but has some charm. If you're looking for heat, or air conditioning, or indoor bathrooms, this is not the house for you. Yes, it has 10 bedrooms. It also has ZERO indoor shower or bathing facilities. This was not disclosed to us, which is why this place gets 2 stars. It has indoor toilets and sinks but that's it. the showers are out under the house. Not what i want while on vacation. The swimmers floating dock was also advertised but not usable. As long as you know the drawbacks of the place when you book, you'll be happy with its size and location.

  Owner response: The information this renter is referring to regarding the showers and bathrooms was all disclosed in our VRBO descriptions as well as in the rental agreement and House Rules, which must be signed and returned with the deposit prior to renting. The swimming raft is back in service for future rentals. All renters are urged to ask detailed questions regarding the house prior to renting.

  We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful home just about 6 weeks ago and had a great time! The home features a semi private beach (shared with another family that we didn't see often) and a wonderful screened in porch that we lived in. The photos are very accurate. You can't beat the view! The kitchen has at least 2 of everything you could possibly need. An added plus is one bedroom is located on the main floor for anyone who has trouble using stairs. This is a great old fashioned cottage for plenty of company. I highly recommend this rental.
