A Summer Place

A Summer Place is a lovely villa located on beautiful, private white sand beach in Discovery Bay. Recently renovated, the villa is the perfect setting for family reunions and larger groups.

The design of A Summer Place is typical Caribbean gingerbread with hand-carved fretwork trimming the length of the house.

The interiors feature a spacious open plan living room that has an entertainment center with a 30" DSS TV, VCR and an assortment of videos. French doors open from the living room to a 1,500 square foot comfortably furnished verandah that overlooks the beach and private pool 16' x 32' swimming pool. Colorfully draped with beautifuly blossoms, the verandah provides a delightful spot for guests to relax, read or just take in the magnificent beauty all around.

Outside, there is a lovely seaside gazebo, the large private swimming pool and a variety of ocean toys to include sea kayaks and snorkeling equipment. The home is fringed by a 100' beach and a long jetty that leads to the gazebo and is a favorite spot for cocktails.

The 100' white sand beach is just a few steps from the pool terrace. Guests may enjoy the complemnetary use of the snorekeling equipemnetn and sea kayaks.

The grounds are lush and filled with muliticolored bougainvillea, hibiscuss, sea grape, almond and coconut flowers and trees. An expansive side yard provides an ideal setting for children to romp and play.
Home cooked meals may be enjoyed on the terrace or in the more formal dining area on a 250 year old family heirloom table that seats 14.   For special occasions, the staff will serve dinner in the pool gazebo or in the main gazebo at the end of the jetty.

The villa offers seven air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Six of the bedrooms are located in the main house and the seventh bedroom is located in the converted garage nearby. EAch of the bedrooms features state of the art remote control air-conditoinng, fine linens and are decorated in a cheerful assortment of colors.

The master bedroom features a king sized carved mahogany 4 poster bed as well as en-suite bathroom with walk in shower.

The Yellow Room has a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom with tub/shower combination and a balcony with a sea view.

The Green Room jhas an optional king size or twin beds along with a spacious bathroom with tub/shower combination, TV and VCR. The Green Room, also, has a balcony that provides both moutian and sea views.

The Terra Cotta Room has a king sized bed as well as bunk beds for 2 children. It has an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower combination, TV with VCR and a mountain and sea view.

The Pink Room has two queen size beds as well as a specioua bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi and separate shower, his and her vanities. The room also has a TV and VCR and both moutain and sea views. The sixth bedroom is the only one located on the main floor. It features a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom with tub/shower combination and o9pens to a lower verandah and pool terrace. This room, also, has a TV and VCR.

The seventh bedroom is located in a garage conversion just beyond the porte-cochere. It has a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom wtih tub/shower combination and a small porch on the lawn.

Additionally, the villa boasts a private tennis court as well as an air-conditioned fitness room complete with treadmill and elliptical machine.

Rental of the villa includes complementary international calls to the US, CAnanda and land lines in the UK. Additionally, there is a complemnetary laptop computer and DSL Internet connection.

Please note that for large family reunions/groups, the villa may be combined with other neighboring villas in Discovery Bay such as Fortlands Point, Sugar Bay, Amanoka, Keelawee, Whispering Waters, Sundown, Coral Cove 1 & 2, Seagapes and Sea Haven.

Delightful Ocho Rios is about a 25 minute drive from the villa/Discovery Bay.

A Summer Place is an excellent choice for families as well as large groups.

Bedroom 7 located downstairs. This is a wonderfully converted garage and has 2 twins (can convert to 1 king), private bath, TV.
