Affordable Guntersville Lake View Vacation Home Scottsboro

Come and enjoy our spacious, fully furnished, professionally decorated vacation home. Live in the very same comfort my wife and I do whenever we have a chance. We are more than confident that you will be happy you did. Our vacation home is more than just a rental property; it is our very own vacation home. Our vacation home is located approximately 300 feet from the water’s edge of Lake Guntersville in the small quaint town of Scottsboro, Alabama and is about ¼ mile from the Scottsboro City Park where you can make use of its boat ramps, fishing piers, numerous picnic tables, grills and large gazebo. Our vacation home is located in an upper middle class neighborhood with homes occupied mostly by lawyers, doctors, a retired judge, and a few retired NASA engineers like myself.
While enjoying our vacation home, you can not help but feel relaxed and at home. Venturing out to our back patio brings the relaxing view of Lake Guntersville to your eyes. Sit down around the patio table and enjoy the lake view; listen to the sounds of nature that may be around you, and if you are lucky, you may see one of the many squirrels, feeding birds, ducks and geese that frequent the immediate surroundings of our vacation home. Of course there is always the gas grill sitting on the patio waiting to satisfy the demands of most outdoor chefs.
Once you adventure away from our home, your choices of what to do can not possibly be accomplished in a few short days, a week, or probably even a month. The City Park is located about ¼ miles away. The movie theater, some of Scottsboro’s finest steaks, gift shops, groceries, etc are located about 1 ¼ miles away. The quaint down town Scottsboro Square with all of its antique shops and other stores is about 4 miles away. The world famous “Unclaimed Baggage” (where almost anything can be purchased at a more than fair price) is located about ¾ miles off the downtown square. While you are on your adventure, you can not avoid enjoying the small town atmosphere and the friendliness of the people who live in this wonderful small town. The finest steaks in Scottsboro and some of the best seafood in Scottsboro can be eaten in the comfort of your favorite jeans and shirt right alongside all the other casually dressed locals. “Reservations?” – They would not hurt, but don’t be surprised if you don’t need them. This is a small town – just sit back, enjoy and smile. Relaxing comes automatically.
For those who enjoy the outdoor life, Lake Guntersville alone can keep you busy, happy and “pooped out” your entire visit. There is also hunting, great golf at Goose Pond Colony Golf Course (about 4 miles away), hiking, biking, and spelunking to mention a few activities. If you do not already know; Lake Guntersville hosts many Bass Master Fishing Tournaments each and every year and is often referred to as the “Lake of Giants” by the fishermen. If you are looking for that trophy bass in your life, it may only be a short distance from our back patio. My wife has already caught more than her fair share of trophy bass. I, on the other hand, simply try my hardest to keep up with her.
I am sure you will want to come back again in the future to relive what you have done on your current visit, or maybe just continue your new adventure where you left off on you current visit.

We loved the house. Plenty of room for our family during the day and evening who live very close to this house and right down the street from the boat launch. We did not eat out one meal and found the kitchen to be well stocked. Both upstairs and down A/C units worked great. We would recommend this house to anyone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

The home was very clean an well taken care of. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we need to do our cooking everything u could think of was there for us to use dishwasher an all. WE had 4 trucks an 4 boats an was plenty of parking for everyone with no problem. Boat ramp less than 1000 yards from house. You can be in the water in 5 min. form house. VERY GOOD LOCATION close the the stores an bout anyting that u would need for your stay . The tranaction with Peter an Sarah were very ease made. An the price was well worth it. We stayed at this home for a quick get-away and WE LOVED IT!!! The decor was beautiful and comfy. The house was spacious and clean. The location was within a mile or so of almost everything we needed. The price for this HOUSE was just a little more than for a SMALL Hotel Room...and now I am COMPLETELY spoiled!! We cannot wait to come back...but next time, we will be staying longer!! Too much stuff to do!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family spent Christmas weekend at this home. When we arrived, it had been decorated nicely with a tree and was so inviting. It was so much better than a hotel as we had lots of room to be together and the kitchen was well equipped for preparing our meals. It is conveniently located to shopping. The homeowners were pleasant and accommodating to our needs. Our family would recommend this home over a hotel anytime.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was a beautiful home with beautiful view of lake in a quiet neighborhood, convenient walk to dock and park. Conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Peaceful, private patio. Owners great to work with, meeting our every need. It was a wonderful, restful weekend with elderly parents and sisters; our 33rd annual family weekend on the lake. We recommend this wonderful and reasonably priced vacation home. Truly a home away from home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and I with six children stayed at this lovely home for our summer vacation. The pictures really don't give the house justice. It was decorated very nice and was so comfortable. Felt more like home than a vacation house. It was very easy to relax, just so peaceful. The boat ramp/park is about a 2 minute walk which was perfect for the kids. My husband and I enjoyed the unclaimed baggage that is just a few minutes away. The internet wasn't working, but didn't feel the need to report it and I only tried it the first day so it could have been the main system. It was nice to be able to unplug for a week. If I ever stay at Lake Guntersville again, this is the place to stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My husband, myself, and two others couples rented this house for a fishing weekend. It was very clean and had a great view of the lake. Also, the owners and caretakers were very nice and pleasant to work with. "The Dock's" was reccommened by the owners and was a great place to eat. The Unclaimed Center in Scottsboro was nice for the women to shop while the men were fishing. The fishing was great as well. We would reccommened this house to others!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This house is a great location for fishing trips with friends and family. It is a very nice house situated close to town and even closer to the boat ramp, about 1000 ft. The owners are great to deal with and everything was just as described. We can't say enough about our stay at the house. 8 men, 4 bass boats, lots of fish, this is as good as it gets.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+.
