We have just recently returned from 4 weeks @ Casa Paradiso – it truly is “A Little Bit of Paradise”. We have read in a few reviews that the pictures don’t do it justice and this is true. Casa Paradiso offers plenty of amenities, enabling one to feel “at home”. The kitchen is very well equipped. The living areas have comfortable furniture and a great view. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms very nicely done. The patio table outside on the main floor is a great place to sip your morning coffee while looking out over the ocean. This is also a great place to sit and visit while using the BBQ. The internet & Vonage phone are a plus. We never turned the TV on!!! The house is roomy, very clean and well maintained. As we are in Mexico most of our time was spent outdoors. The outdoor areas are fantastic and we spent many hours moving from one location to another. You can see the ocean and hear the waves from almost any location on the property. The pool area is beautiful and well equipped with lounge chairs. The upper beach area with lounge chairs and palapas allows for sun or shade, we purchased little folding beach chairs that allowed for easy movement between sun & shade. Then in the late afternoon when you still want a little more sun or shade there is the rooftop patio area. This is a great area with loungers that can be moved into sun or shade and a great sitting area with wicker furniture under the palapa which shaded your from the sun or on one day a tropical storm. The beach is not pristine - this is common along this stretch, however, the staff maintains it daily and we did not find it affected our enjoyment at all. The weather was unusually windy this year so we never quite got the kayaks out – maybe another time! This area is centrally located between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen and offers a wide variety of activities. Puerto Morelos has some really great restaurants and we have not come close to trying them all. No review would be complete without mentioning Leo and the rest of the wonderful staff who go out of their way to ensure that everything is perfect. The staff is never intrusive and added to the enjoyment of our vacation. We have enjoyed working with the owner, Steven who was also most concerned and inquired frequently if we had everything to make our vacation enjoyable or if we required anything to let him know. We would not hesitate to recommend Casa Paradiso and hope we are able to return soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

My Wife and I rented the casa for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The house is located close enough to Cancun that we could go and do all the touristy stuff if we wanted, but secluded enough that we didn't have to deal with tourists if we didn't want to. Went snorkeling everyday right off the beach in front of the house, and had a great time exploring Puerto Moreles and Playa Del Carmen, both great places to find some wonderful local food. The staff there are unbelievably nice, Leo came by every day to clean up the grounds and never intruded on us for anything. He was super helpful in answering out questions and always had a smile and laugh ready. The roof deck was perfect for watching lightning storms out over the water on stormy nights and sunsets on the clear nights. The house is beautiful and comfortable to hang out in, large kitchen with enough stuff to cook or make some tasty blended drinks, nice living room with a decent collection of English movies to watch when you get tired of translating Mexican TV and AC units throughout the house to beat the humidity back a bit and cool it off enough to sleep. If you go, make sure to buy a few cans of dog food and make friends with Flaca, the local dog that roams about, she is sweet and loves people. The price was a little high only because we were renting the whole house for ourselves, but this would be a great deal if you are sharing with another couple or two. Make sure to go snorkeling off the beach in Akumal and check out the Cenote at Dos Ojos down near Tulum, definitely the highlight of the trip for us.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent the last week of January 2012 at Casa Paradiso and had the best time. The house is as beautiful as the pictures. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If we needed anything they were always responsive. The location is very nice and fairly private. I would definitely recommend renting a car as it is far from town. Also, the road leading to the house is interesting, but the directions were perfect and we easily found the house. The house is very clean and has everything you need. The internet and Vonage was a great touch and definitely made the trip easier. The vacation was exactly what we needed, very relaxing. We booked several day trips in Puerto Morelos including The Jungle ATV Tour, and two trips booked through the boat collective located in front of the pier in town, a deep sea fising tour and a snorkeling tour on the reef, all of which we would recommend. We also used the rental car and spent a day going to Tulum and Akumal. Also we had a wonderful experience at the Jungle Spa, a must do while in Puerto Morelos.Did you find this review helpful? It just doesn't get any better than Casa Paradiso. There's no way to capture in the photos the unique, custom and artistic style of this lovely home nor the warm, welcoming ambiance as soon as you enter the property. I've never stayed at a more delightful home. And this one is right on the beach, with its own sparkling clean, clear swimming pool overlooking the ocean! As many have mentioned, the staff add to the perfection of the place. From the moment you arrive, they go to great lengths to make certain your experience at Casa Paradiso is perfect in every way. The manager will even do the grocery shopping for you! The home and grounds are incredibly well maintained, and the housekeeper is a fantastic cook. We had her cook a traditional meal for us one night--it was absolutely delicious! The beds are firm and comfortable, the bathrooms are beautifully and so artistically done, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the living area has views that go on forever. If you choose this home, you'll never want to leave. The owner, Steven Wright, was wonderful to work with, going to great lengths to answer all of our questions. We knew if we chose Casa Paradiso (or any other of Steven's properties) that we'd not only be completely pleased but very well taken care of, and this was exactly the case. Hope we can come back very soon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We've just arrived home from a week at Casa Paradiso. It was the experience of a lifetime, perfect in every way. I agree with whomever stated that the manager and staff make this home a true stand-out. They go to extreme lengths to be certain the casa is meeting your every need. Gloria, the cook and housekeeper, is an angel and her cooking is divine. If you decide on Casa Paradiso, be sure to have her cook you a meal of local cuisine. You'll wish you could bring her home with you! If you like a unique, custom built home with many artistic touches that's also warm and welcoming, you'll fall in love with Casa Paradiso. The beds are firm and comfortable, the bathrooms are works of art, the kitchen is well equipped, living area everything you'd want, and all with views to die for. However, our guess is that you'll spend most of your days around the sparkling clean pool, listening to the soothing sound of the waves and the breezes ruffling the palm fronds!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My family of six adults just returned from a week at Casa Paradiso. The property is more beautiful than the pictures depict. The staff onsite were very accommodating and helped us tremendously. We did a combination of eating at local Puerto Morelos restaurants (which were amazing) and cooking on the charcoal grill at the house. I would recommend renting a car because the house is quite a ways from Puerto Morelos and other towns. We didn’t take advantage of the kayaks because the waves were quite high. The property host, David, arranged a snorkeling trip for us and I would highly recommend this activity. The reef was absolutely amazing – one of the best nature experiences I’ve ever had. Overall this was the best family trip we’ve taken. Many thanks to the staffRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We stayed at Casa Paradiso for 10 days as part of a 1 month trip. It was my favourite part of the trip as the house was new, modern, great pool and beautifully maintained. The staff and maintenance are what sets this property apart from the other Home Away properties we have stayed at. They really do their best to make you happy, Nothing is too much trouble. Steve Wright was excellent. We did rent a car for a few days as it is a 15 min bike ride to town and we wanted to do a few day trips. This was fine with us as we liked having a few nights cooking at home and not being a " tourist" The beach out the front is not the best swimming beach but the staff came to rake the weed first thing every morning. This is the case with most of puerto morelos and not specific to the property. You can walk 100 meters north to a swimming beach. We lounged by the pool with a stunning view of the ocean all day. The house was very quiet which we loved being away from other travellers loud voices. There is a great roof top area for sunsets. We would definitley reccommend this property. The only reason we did'nt put excellent is because of the beach.. But that didnt bother us at all. The pool area is tropical and pristine.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

i rented this house for my son,, his wife ,17 yr old daughter and female friend during spring break. i of course was anxious that they might not like it , but they reported house was exactly as described and seen in photos. they adored the cook ( and her cooking.) they thought puerto morelos town was wonderful in that while there was activity it was still a small town and the usual hyper spring break crowd was not there the property was clean well cared for, a first class operation all around., the private pool was particularly enjoyedRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
