South of the Pier lays Casperson Beach with its lengthy expanse of rolling sand dunes. Another favorite and only a five minute drive is Nokomis Beach – noted for its quite, un-crowded environment. From there, take a short walk south to the North Venice Jetty - watch the many boats passing to-and-fro from the Gulf. It gets crowded close to sunset, as people delight in the frequent sightings of dolphin pods feeding or playing near the beaches.
Venice also offers an award winning theater company as well as the Venice Symphony. For nature enthusiasts, the Venice Audubon Rookery’s walking paths allow sightings of more than 50 different birds and waterfowl.
Just 20 minutes north, explore Sarasota and its more urban flair with an abundance of cultural activities, fine shopping, diverse dining - maybe an evening opera or concert in the park. The condo is in beautiful Bird Bay Village - with birds and wonderful tropical plants. Excellant location, close to downtown Venice, beaches and restaurants. The condo is on 1st floor - close parking for easy acess. It was spacious, comfortable chairs in livingroom, wonderful bed in master bedroom, all the appliances worked well. We cooked several meals - kitchen well equiped. Great washer and dryer. It was freshly painted and new carpet. Enjoyed shopping at all the quaint shops in downtown Venice. We ate at Sharkey's and Robbi reef - great places! We loved the South Jetty for the beautiful sunsets. Sarasota just 30 minutes away - Ringling Brothers Museum. We enjoyed our stay tremoundously - and we are coming back for the winter.Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+.

This first floor condo was perfect for our stay. It was spacious, well appointed, very clean and all appliances were in perfect condition. The new bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable for sleeping. The formal dining room was unexpected and on occasion we had friends over for a nice dinner. I would certainly recommend it to anyone interested in staying in the Venice area.Recommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks for your review John - We certainly try to keep our unit in perfect condition and always ask our guests to call if anything is amiss so that we can be very proactive. Certainly the first floor, end unit, entry makes it very easy for older folks and one primary reason this unit was purchased. As you mention, it is very spacious having been converted from a 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit to 2BD/2BA with a formal dinning room. We hope to see you back next year. Best

About the owner: We live and work in North Port (just south of Venice). We keep busy at our business, North Port Dental. When we aren't busy working, we are spending time on the water... beaching, shelling, or (as you can see from the photo) fishing! We love the Florida lifestyle!
