This large (1400 square feet) unit includes living/dining area, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with baths, all newly furnished and artfully decorated. Also included is a laundry room, balcony, and locked private garage. Everything is provided -- from linens to ice-maker. There are even beach chairs in the locked garage, and beach towels in the laundry room.
The master bedroom contains a queen-size bed with a TV, large master bath and roomy walk-in closest. The second bedroom contains two twin beds with adjacent bath. Additional sleeping space is provided by a fold-out futon in the living room. The entertainment center in the living room houses cable TV, DVD with DVD collection, assorted board games and card games for a rainy afternoon, and, of course, wireless internet. Also included is free long distance phone service with the continental US.
A few minutes drive takes you to the historic district in downtown Fernandina Beach where you will find a myriad of unique shops and artist studios, and a culinary assortment of restaurants on the river waterfront. Also visit Fort Clinch in the state park, the highly-rated Fernandina Beach Golf Club, or take a ferry to Cumberland Island to explore back to nature treasures. Less than an hour drive will take you to Jacksonville for more sports activities, Jax Zoo, and more cultural arts and dining adventures.

One half the rental amount, plus cleaning fee and taxes, is due when the reservation is made. The remainder is due, plus the damage deposit, 2 weeks before the arrival date. Payment is made by personal check, cashier's check or money order -- no credit cards.

About the owner: For many years we explored the islands off the coast of Georgia and Florida. When we discovered Amelia Island, we knew it was a keeper. The island has many places to explore, fine restaurants and shops,and a beautiful beach, all without feeling like a tourist camp. One of our favorite activities is just sitting on our balcony, watching the sea birds play in the pond and listening to the sounds of nature. Amelia Island has become a favorite vacation spot for our family and friends.
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Park: We chose a beautiful condominium in Ocean Park on the north end of the island, nestled between Fort Clinch State Park and the beach, because the north end of the island is less commercialized than the developments on the south end. This quiet location is also more convenient to popular attractions, including Fort Clinch Sate Park, Egans Creek Greenway, Centre Street, the old lighthouse, and public parks. You can bicycle to these areas! You know what they say -- it's all about location, location, location!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: The Ocean Park condominium complex is newer, and therefore more spacious and updated with modern appliances than many of the older condos along the beach. You will also find a private, closed, locked garage (no parking problems!) which is large enough for bikes and beach equipment, too. The washer and dryer are inside the unit. And, of course, we have WiFi. Everything very updated and private for a luxurious stay.
