This spacious, non-smoking condominium in Ocean Park faces the ocean and is surrounded by Fort Clinch State Park, which gives a unique sense of privacy -- A lovely ocean view from the private balcony on one side, and a view of Fort Clinch State Park on the other side. See the sunrise from your private balcony and the sunset from your corridor terrace outside your front door. Stroll to the beach, less than 200 yards away, or sit on the patio deck in the evening, enjoying the panoramic ocean view, and hear the surf pounding on the shore -- not the traffic! Take a dip in the pool, a hike in the woods at Fort Clinch State Park, or enjoy the family-friendly picnic and recreation park on the beach only a block away. A perfect location -- quiet and serene, yet right next to the beach and a short walk or drive to many activities.
This large (1400 square feet) unit includes living/dining area, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with baths, all newly furnished and artfully decorated. Also included is a laundry room, balcony, and locked private garage. Everything is provided -- from linens to ice-maker. There are even beach chairs in the locked garage.
The master bedroom contains a queen-size bed with a TV, large master bath and roomy walk-in closest. The second bedroom contains two twin beds with adjacent bath. Additional sleeping space is provided with sleeper sofa in the living room. The entertainment center in the living room houses cable TV, VCR with video collection, DVD with DVD collection, and assorted board games and card games for a rainy afternoon, and, of course, wireless internet.
A few minutes drive takes you to the historic district in downtown Fernandina Beach where you will find a myriad of unique shops and artist studios, and a culinary assortment of restaurants on the river waterfront. Also visit Fort Clinch in the state park, the highly-rated Fernandina Beach Golf Club, or take a ferry to Cumberland Island to explore back to nature treasures. Less than an hour drive will take you to Jacksonville for more sports activities, Jax Zoo, and more cultural arts and dining adventures.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Park
We chose a beautiful condominium in Ocean Park on the north end of the island, nestled between Fort Clinch State Park and the beach, because the north end of the island is less commercialized than the developments on the south end. This quiet location is also more convenient to popular attractions, including Fort Clinch Sate Park, Egans Creek Greenway, Centre Street, the old lighthouse, and public parks. You can bicycle to these areas! You know what they say -- it's all about location, location, location!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The Ocean Park condominium complex is newer, and therefore more spacious and updated with modern appliances than many of the older condos along the beach. Hey, we even have a trash compactor! You will also find a private, closed, locked garage (no parking problems!) which is large enough for bikes and beach equipment, too. The washer and dryer are inside the unit. And, of course, we have WiFi. Everything very updated and private for a luxurious stay.

For many years we explored the islands off the coast of Georgia and Florida. When we discovered Amelia Island, we knew it was a keeper. The island has many places to explore, fine restaurants and shops,and a beautiful beach, all without feeling like a tourist camp. One of our favorite activities is just sitting on our private balcony, watching the sea birds play in the pond and listening to the sounds of nature. Amelia Island has become a favorite vacation spot for our family and friends.

Here we are again at this beautiful condo on the north end of the island. We love this place because it is always so clean, and quiet and peaceful. By the end of the week we are so relaxed that we don't want to leave! And we especially like the spacious, modern kitchen to do a little gourmet cooking! What fun when you're not cooking at home! We all enjoyed our stay. Mom & I spent all day Sunday and Monday at the beach. Dad enjoyed sight seeing. We all went out shopping and walked around town to souvenier shops, we ate dinner at different places in town. "Sandy Bottoms" is a great place to eat, its right on the beach, the best seafood place so far. The condo was very clean and beautiful when we arrived. We had a great time, wish we could stay longer. The R Family Condo Owners Note: The restaurant 'Sandy Bottoms' is within walking distance from the condo.

We come again to the island for the beach. We love the north beach for the quiet, for sunrise & barefoot walks, for the proximity to historic Fernandina with its neat shops & restaurants. Sharks teeth are less numerous, but it is the joy of the hunt that calls for us. Left some puzzles & books for other to enjoy. Needing a place to call home for two months while we remodeled our own home on the island, this was the PERFECT find. All of the comfort of home.
