Took a late spring vacation to Mackinaw City and stayed at this beautifully decorated one bedroom condo. Maria thank you so much for letting our family stay here for the week. Spent a couple days on Mackinac Island and than traveled back to your condo which was like coming back home. Loved the fully furnished kitchen and the internet wifi in the condo. The weather has been unseasonably warm up here and we happened to pick a great week to visit the great north!. We will definitely be back this summer also :-)

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Maria, Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful condo. We have rented many homes through VRBO but never a condo because we always felt condos were sterile and noisy. However, renting your condo has changed our minds. The condo is beautifully decorated and very quiet and peaceful. The location allowed us to bike the North Central State Trail with access across the street off Stimpson Road, bike to the ferry and enjoy Mackinac Island, Tour the Fort, Boat Tour of the Soo Locks, visit Petoskey and Charlevoix, grocery shop in Cheboygan and most importantly....eat Mackinaw Fudge!! The only thing missing was the ability to use the internet to check emails and pay bills, (By the way we have now added Internet access to our condo :-) as we have been on a road trip for many weeks and needed to check a few things and was difficult to find a place to link up. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend your condo. Thank you again!!

Dear Maria, Thank you for sharing your condo with us this week. We sincerely enjoyed venturing through Mackinac & St Ignace and had a welcoming home to return to each evening. We found this week was about enjoying simple pleasures. The highlight of our day on the island was finding the perfect stone-skipping beach at mile 4 of the loop! Who knew this could fascinate and 8 and 4 year old for hours? Our boys also have been captivated by a local author, Jonathon Rand. This is the first time we've seen them not be able to put a book down :-) Hopefully, "The Super-scary night thingy" won't cause any bad dreams.... Thanks again!

Maria, Thank you for renting your condo. It worked out perfectly! We loved it. Our family rented 4 condos. We are here because my mom was sick with lung cancer (stage 4). So 20 of us were able to get together. Best memories forever.

Great condo and very quiet here. Unfortunately, we were here during unseasonably cold temps, highs 50's-60's. We did it all though! Mackinac Island, UP, light houses etc. We want to come back when we are assured of warmer temps, like late July someday down the road. We loved the condo and rested here most evenings.

Dear Maria, We have had a wonderful and relaxing week here. Your condo is lovely and the view of the lake is beautiful. We have had some perfect weather-high 80's and sunny-And some cool, overcast and rainy days- 50's and 60's. We spent 2 days on the island, bicycling around the perimeter, riding on the horse-drawn carriage, touring the Grand Hotel and Fort Mackinac. We also went to the Soo Locks, the Coast Guard Ship Mackinaw and the Cross in the Woods Shrine. Thank you for opening your home up to us. We have enjoyed getting to know Northern Michigan!

Dear Maria, This was our first vacation with our 1 1/2 year old son, it was so much nicer than staying in a hotel room all being cramped in the same room. Weather was beautiful 75-80 degrees everyday! The pool was like being in a bathtub very comfortable temp. Gorgeous view of the bridge, beautiful sunsets. We had a beautiful day on the island rented bikes to ride the 8 miles around. Thanks so much for opening your condo for others to enjoy! We hope to come back in the future.

Dear Maria, This was truly the best summer rental we've ever stayed at. The condo was idyllic with the lakeview and pool just across the way, perfect for twin 9 year old boys to keep busy. Maria, We enjoyed our second "annual" vacation at your condo. We had a great time again, and were so glad to have had such a perfect place to stay with our 4 yr old and 7 month old. The weather was beautiful. We had fun in town, did trips to the island, water park, movie theater, Cheboygan, Charlevoix, and Petoskey. Jack was so disappointed the Popcorn Factory was closed all week due to fire in town. On the last evening it was open! At that point he declared it the best vacation ever. It was. The fireworks from the beach were great. The condo management does a great job. Thanks for everything!

Labor Day Weekend 2007, 50th year of the Bridge Walk!!!! Dear Maria, Lovely location. Upon our arrival we quickly unpacked with pleasure in our choice. We then walked out to the pool area and became instant friends with some of the neighbors, whom have us nearly convinced to buy here. We shall see. We are happy to have found you through V.R.B.O. What a beautiful place! The accomodations could not have been more perfect for our family. Our 3 1/2 year old was telling both family and new acquaintences that "we moved!" We wish! We had all of the conveniences of home and then more. We loved playing in the sand daily, swimming in the pool, grilling, enjoying the views, and going on our daily adventures in the areas surrounding. Very relaxing, and our best vacation ever. We are sad to leave and hope to return!

We visited here last year when friends stayed at the Shores-we decided to stay this year. Maria, we so enjoy your condo. Thanks so much for opening your condo to us. The view is spectacular and we love the pool and beach. On this trip north we saw four of the five Great Lakes-Erie, Huron,Michigan and Superior! The favorite restaurant this trip was Fisk-the Tempura was excellent. We also enjoyed the Red Flannel in the UP. Great condo, great trip, sad to be going home :-(

Our 2nd stay at the Shores. Everything was as expected. We enjoy the quiet and privacy. We were both able to bike the 8.2 miles around the Island, which was our goal. The hiking, biking trail across ST Rd 23 was great exercise. Entry on Stimpson Rd about 200 yards North of Condo. Easy ride to town.

Beautiful condo, it was a great location for the activities we planned. We spent a couple of days on Mackinac Island, golfed at the Mackinac Club, watched a great fireworks display on the 4th from the park in the city, toured the Shipwreck Museum in the UP and found some great beaches on both lakes Michigan and Superior. The restaraunts in town and on the island were both good and accomodating for our 3 year old son. The weather was great, daytime highs were in the upper 6o's and low 70's, this was a treat coming from the humid 90's found in the Ohio Valley! We will come back, Thanks again!

We were told the weather would be in the mid 70's and it was in the mid 80's all week. No rain and was perfect for swimming in the great pool. This was a relaxing way to spend 4 days-wish we had longer! The condo is beautiful and at this time of year there was only a few people here. It was like having the pool and place to ourselves. If we ever come back-and I hope we will-this will be where we want to stay. Thank you for a relaxing and beautiful vacation! p.s. The bed was so comfortable!!

Sept 4-19, 2004 (Labor day) Dear Maria, This has been absolutely the best vacation I have ever had. Your condo is just the best, a true home away from home. We loved it here and finally relaxed on our vacation. The comfortable bed & mattress was an enormous relief. I also enjoyed the art work selections. Your unit seems special.
