  Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for our stay at the Primo Del Lago. We forgot to leave our comments in the guest book, and wanted to let you know that we found the apartment to be very comfortable, well equipped for our needs and with a fabulous view of the lake. This was our second visit to Varenna/Fuimellate and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there again. We look forward to using your services again some time in the future.

  We had a wonderful time and have many lovely memories to cherish in celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary. Primo del Lago was a beautiful apartment and the views were exactly as we had hoped - we even managed to take a pretty good copy of the web image with a wine bottle and glass against the backdrop of the lake! On the one occasion we needed to contact anyone (Brian early on the Sunday morning) it was nice to be able to talk to a person and not just an answering machine. We had an issue with the toilet which became blocked twice but you were very helpful and managed to sort this out quickly. In terms of favourite places it is difficult to choose but certainly Bellagio stood out as a very smart, chic place to shop and to just sit and watch the world go by but we also fell in love with Varenna with its cosy harbour, quaint streets and lovely restaurants. The restaurant we were most fond of however was in Fiumelatte - Hosteria del Platano - where we ate on our first and last night. The menu is quite simple but the food is beautifully cooked and presented and combined with the view of the sun setting over the lake, it was wonderful. Special mention should also go to AC Boat hire in Menaggio. We enjoyed a fantastic couple of hours on the lake in one of their beautiful boats - it was immaculately clean and well equipped (and fast!) and we did manage to pay by credit card although I think it is normally cash only. The whole holiday experience was pleasurable and we cannot fault any of it and we would definitely come back to, and recommend, Happy Holiday Homes.

  We enjoyed our stay in the Lake Como region at at Primo Del Lago. The staff at Holiday Homes at first was very informative and answered all of our questions. We booked our "briefing" per their request prior to departure however once we got there, we were told there was no briefing in the "off season". We had to figure out the apartment on our own which was no trouble. We reneted a car so the parking could have been issue. Since we were in the off season, the public parking out front was always available. This is good because we still are unclear of where the parking garage was for the apartment. Now, from public parking, you have a short walk up the hill to the apartment door, once in the building, you have 4 flights up the european stairs (55 total) to get to the apartment. Once you are there, the space is perfect for 2-4 adults and the view is incredible. I struggled with the wi-fi but this was corrected by the manager of the unit within a day. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was very nice and the kitchen was well appointed. After a long day of sightseeing and being the typical tourist, the balcony was a welcome site to sit, have a bottle of wine and simply enjoy the view and all that Lake Como has to offer.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

  We spent 4 nights at Primo Del Lago in April 2012 and were delighted with the apartment. It is very well equipped with widescreen TVs in each bedroom and in the Living Area. The kitchen has a wide range of cooking implements and the bathroom is very adequate. The views from the superbly placed windows were simply stunning and even though it was overcast for some of our days the views changed with the nature of the weather, from bright and snow capped to cloudy and moody looking - all very impressive. We were delighted with the bottle of champagne on arrival and to have the owner Brad visit us on our first morning was special and he was so helpful that he made our stay even more special. It is a delightful apartment and we would recommend it highly.

  We enjoyed our stay at Primo del Lago as well as Gaeta Sogno Infinito. Staff was very helpful, esp. the emails on directions to both properties which made them very easy to find (except we did not know whether to drive north or south from Menaggio to reach Sogno Infinito at first, so that could be spelled out a little better in the directions. Overall, we are very happy with our experience with Happy Holiday Homes and hopefully will use you again in the future!

  We are ensconced in Primo de Lago and it's a great apartment. Furnished throughout with everything we need. We are extremely comfortable. Your company and staff get top marks except for the big glitch in the wrong combination to access the apartment. I'm sure that future guests will be notified of the change. We're loving the lakes and surrounding area. Ciao for now Anne, UK
