Seacroft is the perfect setting for your coastal getaway with friends and family or for that special occasion. We are proud to say our guests rate our home and its amenities 5 out of 5 stars in their reviews.
Seacroft offers a 360-degree view of the majestic Mendocino coast from its vantage point on its own coastal 'croft' or hill. This large 3000 sq. ft., 3-level, contemporary home is located west of Highway 1 in a small, upscale neighborhood at the north end of town. The vibrant downtown is a mere 10-minute walk away. The first whale you'll spot from Seacroft is 'Bubbles', the handcrafted whale sculpture in our front garden, who signals your arrival at our home.
The 30-ft. ceiling, stone fireplace, and wet bar along with the crashing white water views make the living room a cozy hang-out. The large upper level master en suite has its own private deck and gas fireplace. The separate loft area has a day bed, telescope, and library of books, games, puzzles, and movies to enjoy when not gazing at the white water views. The spacious lower level en suite master has direct access to the sheltered back garden and main level hot tub deck, electric fireplace, mini-office, and poker table for gambling enthusiasts. The two master suites are separated by the main level with two more bedrooms, a bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, living and dining rooms, and kitchen with a breakfast nook surrounded by windows. Our renters say the kitchen is the best equipped they've ever seen in a vacation rental.
The living and dining rooms also have tremendous white water views. The main level deck is home to the hot tub, gas grill, and soaring 'Crow's Nest' deck with views spanning from Gualala Point Beach to the south, the vast Pacific to the west, Fish Rocks and Haven's Neck to the north and the redwood hills to the east. This deck is an ideal location for whale watching- Thar she blows! During the winter, the Crow's Nest offers a unique experience of 'being in the clouds' during oncoming storms. During the summer, it offers a private sheltered place for sun worshipers. There are four other decks besides. Did we mention the white water views? Yes, there are white water views from every deck!
We offer FREE WI FI accessible throughout the house.
Gualala ('Where the river meets the ocean') is a quaint historic timber and ranching town with approximately 600 full-time residents. Its draw as a popular vacation spot has resulted in a myriad of tourist-related businesses such as art galleries and shops and boutiques galore. Gualala may be small town, but it has big city amenities- two grocery stores, full service pharmacy, over a dozen restaurants in town and nearby, a bank, two gas stations, and churches of all denominations.
Besides whale watching, a typical day in the area might find you getting sand between your toes at one of the many surrounding beaches (the six Sea Ranch state park beaches are accessible by the public and we provide a day use pass for your use); walking along the bucolic trails and bluff edges at Gualala Point State Park down to the beach which separates the Pacific Ocean and Gualala River; driving through the towering redwoods; kayaking, fishing, or swimming in the pristine Gualala River; or golfing at the links in nearby Sea Ranch. Cycling along Highway 1 is unparalleled. If you're feeling lucky, head to the Garcia River Casino in nearby Point Arena.
Don't forget to include wine tasting during your visit because there are over 20 wineries within a 30- or 60-minute drive. Return to Seacroft with your bounty of fruit from the vine and settle on one of the decks or in the hot tub, smell the ocean, and soak up the sounds of crashing waves, calling ospreys, and barking seals as the sunset colors the sky with nature's palette. Don't forget to enjoy the white water views...

The house is bigger than we expected. Three couples, plus our two grandchildren, fit easily with space and privacy for all. The view from the living room is fantastic: several small capes, rocks awash in the surf, and two seastacks. While there, we saw deer across the street, wild turkeys down the road, whales spouting, and a hummingbird in the garden. All this in December. I would like to say the kitchen is as well equipped as ours at home, but that would require stocking up our kitchen at home. Whatever we needed for cooking, they provided two. Greg & Michelle obviously pride themselves on this. The home is close (5 minutes) to shopping in Gualala, and central to all the wonderful and varied beaches of Mendicino and Sonoma Counties. Greg & Michelle even provide a pass for the Sonoma beaches. (Mendicino beaches are free.) We had a wonderful Christmas, thanks at least in part to this fantastic home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My mom was coming to visit from the east coast so myself and her two sisters who live out here wanted to rent a house in Gualala. I was simply looking for something that was pet friendly and had enough space and bedrooms since they all snore! The house was that and sooooo much more. Besides the space and pet friendliness of the house the amenities were never ending! They did not miss a step! everything from the hot tub to the to the picnic basket and cooler. It was like putting your own home in an amazing setting. They had everything! My aunts and I have rented many house in Gualala but this by far was the best and most well-kept. Michele and Greg and so sweet and easy to work with. They left a basket of goodies on the table and a bottle of wine in the fridge for us which really made us feel welcomed. There were simple instructions in various places in the house which made a lot of things a whole lot easier. My deposit was returned to me promplty (less then a week). I would definately recommend this house and will stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

Four of us stayed her toward the end of July, and could not have been more pleased. Every detail was tended to, every amenity was thought of by the owners. Accommodations were very spacious--we had the entire top floor and our friends had the entire lower level. We could heat the space or cool it down easily. The hot tub was clean and easy to use, nice and hot (as was the grill). The large living room is spacious and comfy with views to the rolling waves. From our place we spent leisurely beach time at a remote, quiet spot along the Gualala River or walked the Breezy stretches of beach along the ocean. We rented kayaks in Mendocino for a wonderful paddle up the Big River. We drove the scenic ride to wine country which included exploring the old growth redwoods in Hendy Woods State Park. Mendocino is such a unique town to explore, with a long oceanside walkway. Dinner at St. Orres is not to be missed. I can't say enough positive about this B&B as a place to relax and as a springboard for an excellent vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at Seacroft. The views were outstanding and we didn’t have to go anywhere outside for the beach views. The house itself was spacious and well stocked with all the amenities we honestly didn’t expect to see. The town itself is a very charming place and we hope to come back in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We very much enjoyed our week in your lovely rental. We have rented several other properties and yours was the most welcoming and best stocked. We appreciated the welcome basket and wine - unexpected and delightful! We enjoyed the hot tub and deck chairs and the stars at night. We also enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean – even in the fog. Wish we could have stayed longer than a week. If we make the trip north again, we will look to rent from you next time, too!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. The extra attention to detail made it very special. The kitchen was fantastic. We loved sitting in the hot tub every morning. When the cold winds came up, we were cozy and the beds were very comfortable. We loved strolling your little neighborhood and the accessibility to everything up the coast. We found a quiet pebble beach up the Gualala River and had a beautiful kayak out of Mendocino up the Big River. We hit the wine country and walked among the redwoods. We also had a fabulous dinner at St. Orres. We would love to come back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

(We) really had a good time at your house over New Year’s. Thank you for the bottle of champagne and the obvious care you take in stocking the house and keeping it clean as well as letting us in a couple of hours early. I’ve rented a lot of houses up there but yours says a lot about your concern for renters with your generous supply of stores and thoughtful array of utensils and cooking needs. I know it’s not cheap to outfit a house like that, yet your rates are reasonable... we'll be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
