This cabin was just what we were looking for. The description of the cabin by the owner was spot on. The reviews by other renters also helped us make our decision. It's tough to choose a place based on a handful of photos, however we hit jackpot. The cabin's view is gorgeous! It's perched hi up with, you guessed it, majestic views! The inside was cozy and felt like home. Everything was clean and the cabin came with all the "fixin's!" Over our 3-night stay we barely left the cabin but for 2 meals and a couple activities and attractions. We loved to sit on the deck in the rockers and just take in the beautiful views and peace and quiet. It's a little off the beaten path (20-40 mins) from the hotspots of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg...but that's particularly what we liked about it. The road up to the cabin gets quite narrow and steep...yes, you are at the top of the mountain! Despite the "no children" policy the owners graciously allowed us to stay with our 8 month old daughter. As a protective mother I felt this place was very clean and allowed her to crawl around and roam the living room/kitchen while hubby and I relaxed. She even loved the quick dip in the hot tub! This was our first family getaway and it was the prefect spot for it! Cell and internet service are still great here if you still have to conduct business, like us. I'd love to come back during the fall when the leaves change. This would be an amazing spot for it. If you are reading this....stop here and rent this cabin! :) you won't be disappointed! THINGS WE DID: We stopped at IGA (grocery store) on the way in for food. We had our meals planned out and just had to supply the food for the cabin. All utensils and cookware are provided! Even salt and pepper! :) We hiked Laurel Falls in the Smoky Mountains National Park. Beautiful! Wear your hiking shoes and bring water!! It's a good hike, albeit on a paved surface. Ripley's Old Macdonald Mini Golf in Pigeon Forge was fun. Tuckaleechee Caverns in Townsend is awesome! It's amazing to see the different formations throughout the caves. Again, wear comfy shoes and bring a jacket as the caves never get above 58 degrees. Hope this helps in future planning...

You've Got To See It To Believe It!!!

It's a Gorgeous setting high in the mountain with unbelievable views. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy. The construction of the cabin and the layout were beautifully done. The comfortable bedroom had the perfect mattress and you could fall asleep in an instant. I wished I could have stayed longer and enjoyed some of the other amenities. I will certainly stay here again. If anyone wants a beautiful secluded setting to stay in, this is the one. It's very close to Cade's Cove and very accessible to town and other attractions. I loved the drive up the mountain to the cabin. I had never been to the Smokey's before and as I arrived around midnight after an 8 hour drive the winding, ascending road to the cabin was awesome and exhilarating. I spoke to Nina a couple of times and she's a sweet sweet woman and could not have been more helpful and accommodating. If you come across this cabin in your vacation planning or for just a quick getaway, don't hesitate to book this one. I don't think you could find a better setting.

Spring Break Getaway

This review is exactly as described, and did not let both of us down at all. We stayed at a more commercialized property last year, and paid about double what we did this time around. This place was comparable in all aspects to the one previous, and it had MUCH more kitchen necessities, as well as its own gas grill. Halfway through our stay, we were already talking about when we could make it down again. Also very close in proximity to this cabin are several non-chain restaurants, as well as antique stores. Also, you can reach a Kroger's without ever getting on the packet Pigeon Forge strip, and quickly get back to the quiet comforts. From its location, you can get to Pigeon Forge in about 10 minutes, or take the back way to Gatlinburg in about 15 through the Smoky Mountain National Park. Good midpoint between the two. The owners even helped us find our way in the late evening, as we got stuck in traffic. This place is a must for value, seclusion, and proximity.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

Majestic Views is the perfect getaway and definitely lives up to its name. The cabin as well as the view, is more beautiful than is shown in the pictures. The cabin is very clean and well cared for. If you are looking for a quiet place up on a mountain with very little traffic, this is the place. The owners are very helpful and answer your questions; actually you don't have to ask very many questions; Nina is so detailed that she has all the bases covered. She makes your trip and all the planning easy. We would highly recommend this cabin. It is not too far from the attractions but if you are looking to be away from the hustle and bustle, you will find it at Majestic Views. Be sure to eat at Elvira's in Wears Valley; it is a new restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. Their sandwiches are yummy. And be sure to go to Cades Cove or Gatlinburg by way of Metcalf Bottoms. The drive is beautiful and of course Nina gives you the directions in the packet she provides when you make your reservation. We have been coming to the mountains for years; we have stayed in a lot of cabins but this was one of the nicest and by far the most beautiful view. You won't be disappointed. Majestic Views is your home away from home and the owners make it that inviting.

Shhhh don’t let the word out but this cabin is an adorable, warm, cozy little piece of heaven! Owners were very accommodating and description is very accurate. My husband and I made last minute plans for a get away weekend and were very pleased with our stay. We hope to return to Majestic Views again in the near future!

Snowy Retreat!

We spent three nights and really enjoyed the cabin. It is exactly as advertised. A couple inches of snow had fallen a few days before we arrived, so if you come during the winter be prepared! The road going up the side of the mountain to the cabin is kinda steep and curvy and gets very little sun. Nina was sure to explain this to us so that we were prepared. She and her husband could not make it up the hil to the cabinl, so they walked up and cleaned the cabin prior to our arrival! That's true southern hospitality. Also, it is a true log cabin and insulation is not the same as a regular house. It is cozy, but make sure you bring some warm pajamas and a sweater. The hot tub however was very cozy! We will definitely go back for another stay.

Excellent adventure, great hospitality

When we left our Miss. home Sunday, the week's forecast for Wears Valley was clouds/rain, highs in the 50's. Sun/Mon brought lots of rain. Nina's Tues. email said area flooding was closing schools, and she and Doyle wanted to make sure we were OK. We were better than OK, reading in front of the fire, enjoying the changing view outside the cabin windows. Tues. the timer on the gas logs stopped working, but Nina helped us work around it to keep the fire burning. Wednesday, Nina warned us a winter storm was on the way with heavy snow forecast for Thursday, possibly after our 10 am check-out. As the day progressed, the forecast changed. It looked like we'd be in the storm regardless, either in the cabin or on the road, but Friday was expected to be clear and temps well above freezing. We extended our stay by one night. The howling wind and blowing snow Thursday afternoon and night was exciting for us flat-land southerners who had never experienced winter weather like this. By midnight, the wind calmed, the sky was clear and the Big Dipper looked down on our white mountain. Friday morning's sun was bright and began melting snow from our roof, but the icy stuff stubbornly clung to the hairpin turns on the road leading to the cabin. No way we could leave. Nina talked to the renter scheduled for Friday who agreed to postpone his arrival to Saturday and we extended our stay another night. We were very happily and comfortably marooned (never lost power or internet). Saturday morning the road had refrozen and we still didn't feel comfortable driving down, especially after learning someone's car had slid off the edge the night before; the driver dove out the car just before it plunged. The only traffic on the road was a couple of dare devils in 4-wheel-drive trucks and foot traffic, people who had left their cars at the bottom of the hill. Nina and Doyle parked their mini-van at the bottom of the mountain and hiked up to check on us. We got a tow truck to take us down the mountain. Doyle and Nina walked with my husband and me down through the 3 icy, steep hairpins that made the road impassable for our car. A harrowing, but exciting adventure, made very enjoyable by our wonderful hosts. We've stayed in other cabins in this area and have never felt so cared for as they have made us feel. We will definitely try to stay here and, hopefully, meet these wonderful people again--though perhaps in less dire circumstances in the fall or spring?

This cabin is very lovely. The view was probably the best overall view of the Smokies we've ever had in about 9 yrs of coming here in the fall. The location was great--not too far away and yet far enough to be private. The King bed was extremely comfortable which was so good for our back health while traveling. The kitchen was well stocked and once we found out we were allowed to use the fireplace before the stated start date, we were much more comfortable. Upon arriving to the cabin at the start of our vacation, we accessed the cabin via combination lock and then had to rush to the security system to disarm. The code to disarm was not set correctly although we entered the correct code. We were told if it was not done correctly, the police would come to the cabin promptly. Because of this error, we were afraid we were going to be taken to the police station as intruders and it really upset us. However, we called the owners who told us the system was not set correctly but to use another code which then worked. Ever after, this made us nervous each time we had to leave the cabin, but we mastered the new code which had to be put in within 30 seconds or the alarm would go off. I always carried the letter with the combination for the lock and the instructions for disarming the alarm with us in the car each time we left. That was very helpful when coming back to again enter the cabin. The combination lock, the security system along with the camera pointed at the cabin insure safety for the occupants, and the property owner. --just a bit tricky for those over 50 but can be mastered.

Owner response: Thank you for your review. We are very sorry you had problems with the ADT system. This is not a perfect world and sometimes we have problems. It is always our desire to handle problems when they arise with our renters as we did in this case. The reason this renter had the wrong code is that we had just employed a new cleaner who, although we had gone through the instructions carefully with her, did not enter the code correctly. Since we live a considerable distance away, we cannot handle this personally all the time. This is the only time this has happened and we hope it will never happen again. Since we have a master code in addition to the renter code, I simply gave the master code to this renter to use during their stay so as not to inconvenience them further by having the cleaner come back and enter the correct code. I personally took care of the problem immediately as ADT will always call me prior to contacting the police; so, there was never any danger of the police being involved. We are always available to handle any problems that arise. Most people who rent our cabin are looking for a secluded place, very private and away from the traffic and noise of the towns and understand that a secluded place will need security. In owning an out-of-the-way location such as our cabin, one must have security to protect one's belongings. Since this is the second renter who has mentioned the camera in a negative light, we have removed it to be in place only when the cabin is empty. We make every effort to give our renters a relaxed, peaceful and safe vacation; and, we are always available to manage any problems that arise as we were in this instance. Again, we are very sorry for the problems you encountered and thank you again for renting from us.

We had a wonderful time at your cabin! The view was spectacular, everything was clean, organized, and easy to find. We loved how secluded it was, yet it was still a short drive from all the attractions in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Cades Cove. Awesome Views!

We have stayed all over the country in VRBO's and we will be back to this one! Very clean, which is very important to us. Nina is great to work with and ready to help with whatever is needed to make your stay enjoyable. The camera was not an issue for us, my husband said it would not go through the glass windows and doors. Very quiet and remote, just a few cabins way up the hill, but you can't see them. A couple of cabins can be seen wayyyyy across on another ridge, but very far away. Great place to enter the park without going through Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Be sure to enter the park from Wears Valley, it's a nice drive and time saver! It was nice to have info on grocery stores, etc., provided by Nina, too. Sunrise above the mountain was awesome, you can see the "smoke" swirling and rising in the mornings. Also, the moon rising was very beautiful at night. So peaceful! We stayed five nights, wish we could have stayed longer! (Our deposit was refunded within hours of leaving)

Scenery and views were beautiful! Would love be there when leaves are changing. Cabin is centrally located to many activities and attractions. We would recommend blinds on the front windows of cabin because it was a little unsettling having a camera pointed directly into the living area at all times. We understand that protecting your property is important but also is guest privacy.

We could have assured them the range for the camera is 35 feet which is the approximate distance from the camera to the dwelling, and it is directed at the drive way and front door and it is IMPOSSIBLE for the camera to take a picture inside the cabin. The camera is in place to protect our renters and their possessions as well as our own. In no way, would we ever compromise the privacy of our renters. We strive for an open line of communication with our renters to resolve any problems or complaints; however, sadly in this circumstance, we were not given the opportunity.

The friendliness, immediate attention and positive client service from both Nina and Doyle added to the pleasure of staying in their cabin. The cabin met all and exceeded our expectations for the accuracy of photos and cleaniess. Our vacation, and the owner's cabin provided us with a much needed escape. The view was stunning. We would recommend the area of Wear's Valley to all, it is not right in busy Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, it is nicely placed off the beaten track but close enough to enjoy all those ammenties. I would recommend the owner's cabin to you especially if you are looking for cozy, quiet, and beautiful scenery. With a few bunnies hanging out in the yard every now and again. Thank you it was a pleasure to have you share your cabin.

We really enjoyed staying at your cabin. The location was great - it was far enough away to be very private but yet it was still easy to get to. The pictures on the web were accurate and the place was clean and well taken care of. From the minute I reserved the cabin; the owners handled every detail perfectly which made the entire process really easy. If we come back down to the area, we will definitely try and rent this cabin again. The only bad thing about the entire vacation was leaving!

Absolute Peace and Tranquility

This cabin was just what we were looking for! It is just perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. This is a beautiful and spotless cabin. We spent 5 nights and for the first time ever, we didn't feel like leaving to go out - we loved just lounging around and sitting outside. The scenery is gorgeous. We'll be back!! :)

A Wedding in the Smokeys

My wife and I decided that we wanted to have a cabin wedding in the Mountains. While searching for a cabin we found this listing. The owners were extremely easy to work with and know alot about the area. Cabin was in great shape snd had a great view. We were married on the side deck with the beautiful mountain side as the back drop. Thanks for a great place.

What a wonderful place to spend a vacation! Our family had a wonderful time. The cabin is exactly as pictured. It is so cozy and has everything one would need. The location is perfect; close enough to Pigeon Forge yet far enough for privacy and amazing scenery. We would recommend this to anyone. Doyle and Nina are great!! They really care about their guests and go out of their way to make your visit special.

Wonderful Place to Stay!

We stayed in the very comfortable cabin for 3 nights. It was very convenient to everything including the Cherohala Parkway which is a beautiful drive in the fall. This cabin was very well-stocked with everything you need for dining in. It is very secluded and very cozy. We really enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the back porch where the view was magnificent. We would recommend this cabin and will stay here again if we ever get back to the area.

My husband and I came to stay at your cabin for the first part of our honeymoon.... and we absolutely loved it. It was close enough to everything... but yet far enough away. Everything we needed was already at the cabin, the views were wonderful, the peace and quiet was fantastic. I wish we would've stayed longer! ... but we'll surely be back.

I'm already wishing we were back in the cabin....

My husband and I haven't had time for a vacation in a long time. While we love the Gatlinburg area, I'm not fond of the traffic in the area at certain times of the year. I'd never heard of Wears Valley, but I was sold when I discovered that I could come in the "back way" and avoid the traffic. We rented the cabin from 9/25-30, 2011. As everyone else has said, this cabin is exactly as described....and I can truthfully say this is the most peaceful vacation we've had in 20+ years. We LOVED the peace and quiet, we LOVED the view of the sun peeping over the mountains each morning, and we LOVED the convenience of finding civilization close by, yet far enough away to feel we were on the side of the mountain by ourselves. I didn't turn on the TV for the entire length of our stay, as I settled in at night with a good book while I listened to the sound of the moutainside slipping away in slumber... As we drove away, my husband said, "I don't know how you do it, but you always find the greatest places for us to stay." Nina, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us! I hope we can come back next year!

So enjoyed staying in your wonderful cabin.....the views are beyond words. Beautiful sunrises and peaceful surroundings were just what we needed. The hot tub was great after a long day of walking and shopping. Just close enough to everything...and yet just far enough away from all the crowds. We stayed July 30-Aug 6, 2011. The cabin was just as described. Like walking into you home away from home. Everything about it was perfect. The views were gorgeous. My sons loved the pool table. It had everything we needed except for the food. It was so peaceful sitting on the deck. It was pretty private, but easy to find. Away from all the hustle and bustle, but not too far to drive. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. We made lots of new memories. Again thank you.

Most relaxing vacation my husband and I have had so far. Very quiet and peaceful property.The cabin has everything that home has except all the noise and responsibility! Will be back again.

We recently returned from a wonderful 10 day visit to your cabin. Everything was GREAT, just as you described. Nice amenities, beautiful cabin. We loved sitting on the deck and just enjoying the view. This cabin is close enough to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or Townsend in a short time. No one will be disappointed in this cabin and location. The bed was SO comfortable. Having the washer and dryer was great. We didn't have to bring home dirty clothes. :) We have been staying in the Gatlinburg area since 1982, and this was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. We will certainly be back and I recommend anyone who wants a great place to stay to rent from the Fullingtons. They were wonderful to work with. Happy vacationing!

This was all it was advertised and more. There were great directions, accurated photos, a clean well-maintained place, and a great view. The owners really care about your stay. Enough said, the place speaks for itself!

My wife and I can't thank you enough for sharing your cabin. We have vacationed from Branson, Mo to Tampa, FL and have rated your cabin in our Top 5 for a place we will visit again. For those of you that want to get away from it all, I highly recommend this cabin, Awesome View, Great Location, Well Equipped, Beautiful Sunrise & Sunsets and if you must be a part of the Hustle, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment is just a short drive away. We stayed 6 nights and it wasn't long enough. I came really close to staying on as a permanent resident, but I didn't want to upset Doyle & Nina. Thanks again, & we will return......

We stayed in cabin the first week of June 2011. This cabin is exactly as the owners describe it. Very comfortable and has absolutely everything needed to make your vacation enjoyable. Wonderful fully equipped kitchen with new appliances that really work. I cannot say that about all cabins and condos I have stayed in. Especially enjoyed the views from the rockers on the back deck in the early morning and late afternoon. So calming! The only noise you hear is the occasional sound of a car coming up the road. Maybe two cars a day! We were there on Sunday night and enjoyed hearing the church bells from the valley floor. The Wears Valley area has a relaxing atmosphere. We hope to return to this cabin very soon. No need to keep searching the internet for lodging. We have found our place! Thank you Nina and Doyle for offering this cabin. I also appreciate the ease of making reservations and corresponding with you.

Everything on the web site is true - absolutely majestic views. The kitchen is very conducive to cooking/meal preparation. Simply hiking down the road to Wears Valley made for an enjoyable afternoon; reminiscent of English countryside. There's no need to drive away from this cabin to be "in the Smokies". Thank you Nina and Doyle for allowing us to stay at your cabin.

My husband and I spent our 17th wedding anniversary here last weekend. I can't say enough positive things about the area and this cabin. The pictures are not misleading at all. There are a few cabins up the hill from this one but it's still private. The view of the sunrise is breathtaking. The cabin was spotless when we arrived. The Fullington's are wonderful! I would recommend this cabin to anyone that is looking for a great, quiet, relaxing place to unwind. We will be staying here again in the future. I am so thankful that I found the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! Thanks Doyle and Nina!!

My husband and I took this trip to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. The cabin was wonderful and so was the view. I have been to the mountains several times, and Wears Valley is definitely my favorite place to stay. The location is great. The weather was absolutely perfect during our 4 night stay. Even had a fox outside the cabin one morning. We LOVE visiting the Great Smoky Mountains and would recommend this cabin to anyone. The owners were great, honest people to work with. Thanks so much for a wonderful time together!

Majestic Views is exactly like it says on here. It was a wonderful cabin to stay in. The Fullingotns are great people to rent from and go out fo their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. We arrived with snow and ice on the ground but that didnt deter us from having a great time. The close proximity to the National Park made it even that much better!Will definitely rent this cabin again!

Rented cabin for my parents and it was everything the internet had said and more. Perfect location. There was plenty of space for another couple. The owners are super people to deal with and I will rent from them again.

Enjoyed our 3-night visit at this cabin. It was perfect for a couple. Enjoyed the beautiful views from the spacious deck. The cabin was sparkling clean and well stocked with all needed essentials. The pool table in the loft added to our enjoyment at night after spending the day touring the mountain sites which are all within a close proximity.

This is everything the description says, waking up in the morning to the wonderfull views in itself is worth it. I could not ask for more, it is not on top of any body else and you dont have to worry about any body bothering you while on vacation. There is plenty to do near by but I was content with just hanging out at the cabin all day. I would say it is worth the time to wake up early and take in the beauty of the mountains.

Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The views are fantastic and Master Bedroom is very nice. Very quiet, tranquil and relaxing. I definitely will do a return visit.
