This property features hardwood floors, tile and carpet. As you enter this space, you are immediately drawn to the three large windows that overlook the main thoroughfare in downtown Kennett Square.
While staying here you will be within walking distance of the YMCA, Bayard Taylor Memorial Library, Anson Nixon Park, Post Office, The Mushroom Cap which features museum pieces from the original Phillips Mushroom Museum, Half Moon Restaurant which has been featured on the Travel Channel's Hamburger Paradise segment, Talula's Table - hardest dinner reservation in America - needing to make your reservation one year in advance and right next door to Flickerwood Wine Cellars Tasting Room. All this in Kennett Square, featured in Budget Travel's top ten "Coolest Small Towns in America"! We are proud of who we are, what we represent and will continue to do our best to make your stay memorable.
We recenlty found out that my grandfather, John Dettori lived in this apartment when he first arrived in Kennett Square. He was a "lodger" and lived with a Jewish family from Russia - the Bernsteins. He lived the rest of his life in Kennett Square. He was a barber. His 1st Barber Shop was located at 110 W State Street - lower level. There was a reason I was so determined to purchase this building. Lots of Kennett Square history here!

My husband and I had a wonderful week in this apartment. It is very comfortable, spacious and charmingly furnished. We had everything we needed and Kathie, the owner, was always available for information, help and suggestions. It was so easy to visit all the local attractions: Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, Nemours, Brandywine River Museum--just to name a few. And if you want to stay put, Kennett Square is charming all on its own. Convenient off street parking was included in the rental. My only caveat--and it represented no problem for us--is that if stairs are a problem that this might not be a good choice as it is one flight up from the street and two from parking.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you Emily - so enjoyed having you! We boast about Kennett Square being small town America at its best! We are so happy that you could experience that coming from the big city!

About the owner: This is the 2nd property we have purchased here in downtown Kennett Square. We both have a love for our downtown. It has been our home town for many years and our history goes back to our grandparents living side by side in the early '20s in an apartment building at the corner of State and Union just up the block from our properties. Who would have ever thought?
Why the Owner Chose Kennett Square:
We chose to make our apartments vacation rentals to offer a more comfortable setting for families and/or couples who just want to relax in a place with some of the amenities they might have at home. Our apartments are also available for those who need to be here for work for several months at a time.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Full kitchen, large bath, comfortable living. All towels and linens included at this rental as well as everything needed in the kitchen for cooking and dining.
