Our unit "Paradise Found", is a quiet, deluxe, ground floor unit in a small, two-story building. The pool, front office and laundry room are a few yards from the front door. Out the back door (our lanai) we have a lovely patio set for outdoor dining. The commercial grade gas barbeque is twenty feet away from the lanai.
The beach, Kamaole II, is rated as one of the best beaches in all of the Hawaiian Islands. It is very clean and well supervised by professional lifeguards. We have boogie boards, beach towels and lawn chairs in the closet. The beach is also a wonderful location for a romantic moonlit walk.
The staff at the Kihei Kai Nani are fantastic. They really exemplify the "Aloha Spirit". Arnold, our maintenance man, will make sure that any concerns (not that we anticipate any)are taken care of promptly and professionally. Diana, our cleaning lady, is rated number one. She makes sure that the unit is immaculate prior to your arrival and that you have fresh linens and towels.
I installed a punch code lock system on the front door. I simply generate an access code via the Internet that will operate the lock during your visit. If you happen to forget the code, the folks at the office can retrieve it for you.

We knew this complex was good because friends have stayed there. We weren't disappointed when we arrived. This place is wonderful. The pool is great and is very clean. Staff are great. In fact, we were treated to fresh, ripe small bananas one morning from staff as we were leaving on a day trip. Awesome! This unit has everything you need. It's comfortable and well-kept. We particularly liked the fact it's a corner unit right next to the BBQ. Very handy. The grounds are manicured and the whole complex is very clean. The 2 restaurants next door are great and very convenient. There's a coffee stand just down the road. Maui Dive Shop is the place to rent. Skip Denny's...cook your own breakfast! Excellent location. Kamaole Beach is steps from the complex and one of the best beaches on Maui as far as we are concerned. This is the place to go. I highly recommend this unit. The owners are very helpful with information about the area, do's and don'ts. Don't miss out on this gem.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

It was our first time on Maui and we had no idea where to stay and the proximity to other places, but I think we hit the jackpot. This condo has a great location - across the street from Kamaole II Beach, one of the best beaches in Kihei. Walking distance to good and inexpensive restaurants, strip mall with lots of shops and snorkel rentals. Besides, it is centrally located on the Island so you can go around west side on one day, central on another and east on the third without having to drive too much. The condo itself was very well stocked with everything you'll need in a kitchen, which helped us save some money instead of eating out, and use it on activities like helicopter ride over West Maui and Molokai - great experience. The barbecue grill was just outside of the lanai and my husband was very impressed with the way it cooks meat, something has to do with ceramic surface. The pool was very close so as laundry room and the office. The interior was nicely decorated with lots of small touches. Our daughter loved the choice of games. There were beach toys, chair, coolers, boogie boards, towels. Fairly quiet location. We didn't realize it until we had to spend the last 2 nights in Kalama Terrace. Lots of parking spaces and very helpful staff. Overall we had a great experience and would love to come back and stay in this condo again. Great condo, I have nothing but compliments to say about it. Comfortable, clean and cute, great location across the street from a wonderful beach, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Next door to laundry room, pool, office. Lots of parking space. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you'll ever need to cook your own meals. Beach towels, drying rack, nice little patio with sliding door. And lots of ALOHA touches throughout!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: Aloha from Sam and Lea Beaton. We both work for the federal Government in Canada (Correctional Service). My wife supervises the security operations at a minimum security facility, while I am a Parole Officer working out of a medium security institution. The one thing common to everybody working in a prison is our long-term plans for retirement. Lea loves the slower pace, shopping and beautiful weather of Maui. I look forward to spending more time with the Kihei Canoe Club and being active on the ocean. We both look forward to being able to spend a lot more time (retired) on the beach in Maui!
Why the Owner Chose Kihei Kai Nani:
Max, our thirteen-year-old son, decided we needed to visit Maui in April of 2009. The Make-A-Wish foundation sent us to a very fancy five-star hotel in Ka'anipali. It was wonderful and we fell in love with the island. Our next visit (two months later) we came armed with pre-authorized paperwork from our banker. We looked from end of the island to the other for the very best location. We very quickly decided that Kihei, on the south side of the island, was ideal. Kihei receives very little rain. The water comes from the other side of the island. The temperature is always warm (twelve months of the year) and the ocean is always a very comfortable 72 degrees. The people of Maui are very friendly and helpful. There are no tourists. We are "visitors" and are treated like very welcome guests. Portions of the island don't look like they have changed much in many decades, yet modern conveniences like Costco and movie theaters are readily available.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We first selected the Kihei Kai Nani complex based on its excellent location, the high quality of its buildings and well-groomed grounds. We chose our particular unit for its unique location as well. We are on the ground floor at the end of a small two story building; no stairs and lots of windows. It is very quiet and yet centrally located within a few yards of the office, laundry room and pool. The beach is at the end of the driveway. We are just far enough away that we hear nothing but the birds in the morning and the crickets, geckos etc. in the evening.
