Two comfortable country homes in the heart of Sonoma County Vineyards. The Ranch is a mile from historic Healdsburg Plaza, 30 min to the Pacific Ocean, 90+ wineries within 5 miles. $44. per person/ per night for weeks rental of both homes.
RIVER RANCH HOUSE, circa, 1863 over looking the river is a spacious home, newly remolded and comfortably furnished with four bedrooms, all with queen beds and a double hide-a bed in the master bedroom, 5 baths, allow the home to sleep 10 in ultimate comfort. The 630 sq. ft. chef's kitchen, fully equipped, with 6 burner Decor stove, double oven and river rock fireplace has a cathedral ceiling and glass wall with river views. Other features provided are High Definition Television, Stereo, VCR, phone, Computer and DSL, allow this river-side home practicality, plus modern convenience. The massive Victorian deck and stairway lead to the 2 acre Rustic River Camp, lagoon and boat dock, and a wrap around front porch give way to a wonderful wine country vacation.
OAK TREE HOUSE has been masterfully renovated as a private vacation cottage for up to six people. Your welcomed by a river rock fountain and beautifully landscaped gardens. Each of the two bedrooms has a balcony and new queen beds, while the living room has a double futon. The home has a large bath with double sink vanity, shower, and six-jet sunken whirlpool tub. The cupola ceiling kitchen and dinning room is fully equipped and has plate glass views of vineyards and views of river. French doors lead to a comfortable deck, with bar-b-q, surrounding a live oak tree, which leads down steps to the rustic River Camp.

Why the Owner Chose Healdsburg
Our River Ranch Home was built in 1863 by a Russian Family. I purchased the 7 acres in 1990 and started a complete renovation. To the main house we added 4 bath rooms and two bedrooms, extended the small kitchen 37' to the river bank, w/window to the river. We installed two new water systems, potable and irrigation, new septic and landscaped much of the 7 acres. We chose this site being in the middle of vineyards and yet less than a mile from the charming village of Healdsburg.
The Unique Benefits of this Country House / Chateau
The River Ranch was once a working ranch, we are surrounded on three sides by Vineyards and one side by the Russian River, we are in the country, with critters and all and we are only less than a mile from Healdsburg Plaza w/ shops and world class restaurants. Our Ranch is a perfect place to use as a base for exploring the Pacific Coast, and Redwood forests. There are 100+ Wineries that are open and welcome you every day. We have a 2 night minimum and 3 nights for Holiday weekends, July and August 1 week minimum.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend at River Ranch and Oak Tree House

We stayed in the River Ranch and the Oak Tree house during the June 23-27, 2011 weekend. What a delightful time we had with our family while we celebrated the wedding of our son. To have our family together to share in meals, enjoy the porches and patios together, was a joy beyond words. The homes were welcoming and comfortable. The property was beautiful with the gardens, paths and river to enjoy. It was a delightful time to share with others as we enjoyed welcoming them into the home as they were able to stop by. I would love to rent these homes again. This is a wonderful place to stay to relax and share with your friends and family. Thanks for the wonderful weekend at your homes!!!

Twin Towers River Ranch House and Oak Tree House were used by our group of 6 couples for a week in late April this year. We found the place delighful. The kitchen in the River Ranch House was a superb place for 12 people to congregate, cook breakfast, lunch and dinner and share a bottle of wine or two. The living room was ideal for watching the big screen TV. The four bedrooms were comfortable and clean with each having it's own bathroom. The house was very quiet at night We easily cooked and entertained 18 people around the dining table and Kitchen table for dinner. The patio was a great place to sit and relax. There was plenty of parking space. The Oak Tree house with its unique kitchen (Oak Tree growing thru roof) was rustic but more than adequate for the two couples of our group staying there. We found the owner to be extremely helpful and responsive. His dog Chestnut is a real delight to watch as she makes her daily rounds of the property. She is almost blind but still finds her way around. If you are looking for a place that is comfortable, clean, has character, brings back a little bit of your growing up in it's decor, then this is an ideal place for you. We will be back next year.

First of all I have to say the pictures on line do not do adequately portray this beautiful retreat. Both houses were beautiful, Clean, and everything we had hoped for on our vacation. The boys really enjoyed having the river and canoes right down the path at their private river bank. They stayed there all day. The quiet seclusion we enjoyed at the River Ranch made it hard to believe we were on 2 miles from the beautiful town of Healdsburg. We were very surprised at the wonderful and diverse restaurants we found in town. We had a wonderful time touring the beautiful back roads and found ourselves stopping at several wineries that we had not even planned to see, in addition to the ones we did plan to see. Thanks Bill. We found perfect homes on perfect property. So quiet in the middle of vineyards and so cool at night, right on the Russian river, with charming Healdsburg less than a mile away. We had everything we needed. Both homes were fully equipped and delightfully decorated with great layouts. The patios, ponds, fountains and private siting areas great for relaxed reading and chatting with relatives. The kids swam and went canoeing all day long, I was surprised how warm the slow moving river was. This is a perfect homebase for enjoying everything Sonoma County has to offer, with over 100 wine tasting rooms, redwood forests, lake Sonoma and the Pacific ocean. Our stay could not have been more perfect, we will return.

We have found our "home away from home" we stayed for a week in one of the homes on Twin Towers River Ranch in Healdsburg. Everything about the stay was delightful and rewarding. Both homes were outfitted perfectly, with kitchens fully equipped ready and clean for our whole family. The Ranch is situated in the middle of the Sonoma Wine Country, with three sides in the vineyards and one side 600ft on the Russian River, which we all enjoyed. We will certainly return to this great vacation area and our favorite the River Ranch House.

I would highly recommend staying at the River Ranch. Our three families had a wonderful weeks stay in both homes, that were cozy, uniquely decorated and much more to offer than a hotel room. The big kitchen in the big house was our meeting place and morning breakfast organizing for the day. The kids would go up the river in canoes and most grownups would go shopping or visit some of the many famous wineries in and around Healdsburg. Some us just stayed on the quiet comfortable patios and decks by the ponds and under the redwoods. Northern California has so much to offer and renting homes like the River Ranch Homes is certainly the way to go. We will be returning to this lovely spot next summer. Thanks Bill and Chestnut
