My husband and two children just rented this unit last week. Do not rent if you are the least bit claustrophobic or if you can't handle hauling your luggage up the stairs. Super tiny and three sets of stairs to get to the top floor. You can not stand at the sink in the 1/2 bath and brush your teeth without closing the door! Adults can not get any privacy from the young ones without going out on the deck, which, by the way, borders the Days Inn parking lot. All bedrooms have a TV, which is nice, but if you click your remote in the bedroom with the door open, you switch the TV in the living room on or off as well. The pool (Days Inn) is not on the beach side, it borders Beach Rd, so you get to hear and see the traffic and the lovely Exxon gas station sign behind you. The pool is big, but run down and had green algae all along the walls. I brought my laptop to pay my bills, which doesn't have Wi-fi. The jacks in the unit do not connect to the internet and Days Inn was no help, because they did not have any Wireless bridges, so the laptop was a complete waste. Overall, the unit suited it's purpose, but for this amount of money, you should not have to settle. Super cute decor and very clean.

This cottage is perfect! The process to reserve it was easy and Tonia at the Wright Cottage Rentals was great to work with. When we arrived, I have to admit we were a little worried as the 2 women at the check-in desk were not at all friendly. However, as soon as we got inside our cottage all was well -- the place is small, but really has all the space you would need and was PERFECT for us as each of our daughters (a tween and a teen) could have her own room and my husband and I had our own space too. The cottage has recently been remodeled and is beautiful! They did a great job with the decorating details and spared no expense with any of the appliances. I especially loved the washer/dryer, but the rest of the family was ecstatic about a flat screen TV in each bedroom as well as in the living room. We didn't cook much, but loved the fact that they had just about every tool you would need to make a great meal -- even a cookie sheet! The location is ideal -- amazing ocean view, but far enough away where you can't see any tourists on the beach. The deck is just the right size for relaxing and the furniture provided was more than ample and comfortable. The beach is super close to walk to, as are great restaurants, shopping, etc. We loved the beach in front of the cottage -- it had life guards, soft sand and great waves to play in. The pool is great too -- not very crowded and really clean. When we checked out I was dreading going back to the front desk "meanies" but was pleasantly surprised by a very courteous and friendly woman. She topped off a perfect week in paradise for us! I highly recommend this unit and would go back again in a heart-beat!

Owner response: Hi there! Thanks for the lovely compliments---this is Tonia. I'm glad you all had a great time while visiting with us on the Outer Banks. If we had known you were over there baking cookies we probably would have come a-visiting ourselves..... And I'm very happy that at check out Denise was able to make up for the check in process. We're so happy that you had a great time and we hope that we will get to see you all again in the future! Thanks ~Tonia
