Couldn't Be Better!
Couldn't Be Better!
Although we anticipated a wonderful, first-time trip to Albuquerque, it turned out to be even better than we could have imagined. A big part of this was the home we rented from David. Not only was it clean, well-equipped, the perfect size for two of us, and in a great location, David went out of his way to give us tips on what to see, where to go, marked destinations on our map, and made suggestions we hadn't even thought of. The house was great to return home to, and was comfortable and beautifully remodeled. Having the vanity/sink outside of the bathroom itself was great, since one of us could take a shower while the other could take care of getting ready to greet the world. Having the washer/dryer in the back room was also very convenient. We truly loved Albuquerque, and loved the house even more. We will be back next year and would recommend this house to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay!

We've stayed here for three or four times in the past few years (myself, my partner, and our now 18 month old daughter). Of any place we've used on VRBO, this property and the owner are by far the best. The place itself is very, very comfortable, with a great open floor plan and everything you need. Recently we put our daughter upstairs in a pack and play and were able to enjoy the downstairs when she slept. We've loved sitting on the front porch and back yard, and cooking in the kitchen is very easy and enjoyable. David himself is extremely responsive and courteous, and we even now consider him to be a friend. This place is also in a great neighborhood and is close to downtown and down the street from a cute neighborhood park. We love this place and David!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful bungalow. We booked the day of our arrival and David, the owner was very accomidating and very helpful for his last minute guests. We were in town for a volleyball tournament for our daughter and the close proximity to the convention center was a plus. We were able to take advantage of the nearby attractions during our free time. We highly recommend this beautiful home for anyone who wants to enjoy their stay while visiting Albuquerque. Thanks David for your attention to detail!

This was our second stay in Casa Roma. We loved it last year and fell in love with it again this year. The house is charming and is in a lovely neighborhood with many renovated homes. My grandson especially enjoyed the park in the next block. Close to the zoo, Old Town, as well as downtown, Casa Roma is a perfect base for seeing Albuquerque. We enjoyed seeing David, the owner again; he will do whatever it takes to make sure your stay in his house is a wonderful one.

Home had a nice fit for my wife and I. Quiet neighbourhood but close to downtown, restaurants, grocery store. Cosy interior, fenced backyard, small yet comfortable front veranda. Short walk to off lease park. Owner goes out of his way to be helpful.

Very nice rental! David was very helpful (replaced a non-functional toaster right away) and responsive. He gave us great tips for shopping and eating, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet.

Lovely small home with user-friendly backyard. Small single bathroom (as advertised) but fine for one couple. Downstairs bedroom is open to living space with only a small tri-fold screen for privacy. Great efficient kitchen with all applicances, and two "office" work spaces that suited us well. Loft bedroom handy for 2nd couple or children, but creates bathroom-sharing issues. Overall, met our needs well; we loved the neighborhood - nearby park, old-growth trees, cute older homes and easy walk to nearby restaurants and pharmacy.

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful, clean, well equipped bungalow for just over two weeks. The kitchen is modern and has everything by the way of appliances that one could possibly require. It was particularly nice to have an efficient washer and dryer so that one could return home with clean clothes. The property is well located being within walking distance of Old Town, museums, restaurants and such other attractions likely to appeal to visitors. We particularly enjoyed the friendly neighborhood where folks walking by would say hello. The owner is most accommodating and went out of his to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. As former B&B owners, this property exceeded our expectations in every respect. Should we return to Albuquerque this would be our accommodation of choice.

New Years Weekend
New Years Weekend
My husband and I booked Casa Roma for a quiet get-away for the New Years weekend. David was so easy to work with and made the entire process a cinch. The house is in a historic downtown district and within walking distance to many local attractions. My only concern was the possible noise. I was happily surprised that it was so quiet. The house is built well and super clean. The water pressure in the bathroom is superb as well. You just won't find a better bungalow in historic downtown!

Excellent location and owner so nice!
Excellent location and owner so nice!
David and his baby daughter greeted us so warmly and showed us around the home. Beautiful detailing work inside, and house is well maintained, peaceful and super comfortable. In a quiet nice neighborhood, friendly neighbors, yet close to several bus lines so easy to get around public transit. Owner provided lots of helpful info, super attentive and helpful with Qs, and the house is better stocked in cookware/kitchen than other places I've rented through VRBO. A plus for me because I love cooking! I meditate in morning and really loved peaceful sitting areas in front and in back of house. Only thing to note is bedroom downstairs is not "private" meaning no walls/door, but did have room divider separating from living room area. Was not a problem for me and my friend who was in upstairs loft, but something to think about depending on your own need for privacy, and who you are traveling with. Had a few friends from Albuquerque stop by to pick me up to go out while we were there, and they both asked for the link for when they have family visiting and need extra room. So additional endorsements there. I would definitely stay here again and appreciated the warmth and friendliness of the owner!

About the owner: David has a passion for renovating old buildings, and enjoys hosting people in Albuquerque. I work as an architect with a focus on synthesizing beauty and energy sensibility. My wife and daughter and I love urban and mountain walks, cooking and eating diverse, wholesome food, and seem to always be renovating one building or another. We have 4 chickens, a small house, and strive to live simply. We share a car and ride bicycles and walk and ride buses and trains. I like yoga, soccer, sailing, and woodworking. I don't text much, and I prefer in-person interaction over computerized 'social networking.' I have traveled extensively and love opportunities to connect with people. I aim to be a host who responds quickly to the needs of guests, and I want to create inspiring places where people can rejuvenate and thrive.
