We were in search of a great house with lots of room for multiple families, in a great location and found just that in this home. We had multiple families with lots of kids and still had room to spare. It didn't feel at all cramped or like you were in someone's way. We also enjoyed the fact that the kitchen was on the main floor so you didn't have to lug all the groceries up or down the stairs....a huge plus! The boys really enjoyed having their own room with the bunk beds! I just can't say enough good things about this home. We will definitely consider using this house again. The owner was fantastic to work with and did everything he promised to do.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.

This place is really true to its earlier reviews. A great place with many bedrooms and enough bathrooms to accommodate many families and kids. We celebrated Xmas this past year , it was a friends reunion, and it was simply great. Its within the WinterGreen Resort, so we could enjoy the resort as well. The ladies loved the kitchen - very well equipped and had almost all the spices needed ( We got ours, but to our surprise we found there were spices there too) TV was downstairs which attracted all the kids .. we had taken our Wii console to keep them engaged . This helped the adults to have some quiet time. The kids just loved the room with bunk beds .. all the boys slept there .Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

This home is lovely. A very large beautiful home in Wintergreen Mountains. We had 10 women from age 34-50's come stay for a long weekend scrapbooking get away. There was plenty of room for us all to move around and not be on top of each other. Turned the basement into a scrapbooker's paradise. The beds were comfortable and enough bathrooms for us all to use. Kitchen had limited pots and pans but was still very nice (no blender - we would've liked one) and the dining area and bar was a nice fit for our group. We plan to stay again in the home every summer for a long weekend to scrap in future! I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a reunion or similar use as we had. Home is just up the way from a lookout and a few trails. Very nice, peaceful setting. Owner was wonderful to deal with as well. Thank you for letting my group enjoy your gorgeous home!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

We had a large group of guys at this house for a golf outing at Wintergreen Resort. It is very close to the golf course and is located at the top of the mountain. The Resort is beautiful and the location of this house is excellent. The layout of the rooms is great and the kitchen/dining/main living areas are very open. The house was very clean and the house is much larger than it appears. This house is great for large gatherings while also allowing for seperate quiet areas as well. We had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to rent this house again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

This house is just as described by the owner. It is very large and kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, etc. We stayed during a huge storm and the mountain lost power for a bit, however it did not hinder our stay. The home was so comfortable and there were plenty of candles for us to go one about our plans relaxing. The house was very clean, well-maintained and the linens were comfortable. It is at the top of the mountain and very close to everything. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. I would definitely stay at this home again and recommend it for just about any type of gathering. I went with 4 couples and we had more than enough space. This house would be great for a large family with children because the bedrooms are spread out nicely. It is a wonderful home!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

I found the home an excellent location, plentty of room for our big group, and the main floor bedroom ideal for my elderly mother. The house is beautiful. Family said online photos don't do the property justice. The location great. Even had Wi Fi. plenty of utensils and flatware and plates, etc. The gas grill was very handy and the spacious deck proved great for our cookout. Would definitely use it again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

My family and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at this property. What a gorgeous house on top of the mountain! Soaring great room windows with stacked stone fireplace with large double decks. All facing west and with amazing sunset views. The kitchen is wonderful -- granite with great work island. Walk-in pantry, stainless steel appliances, all new plates, dishes, glassware, etc. Couldn't have asked for better. Master bedroom is on the main level and has a spacious spa bath with soaking tub, double shower heads in shower stall, and granite double Kohler sinks. My girls opted to stay on the ground level (with the large flat screen tv). Two large bedrooms on that level plus family room and nice bath. Third floor has two more bedrooms and another large bathroom. Will plan to go again with a large family group -- would definitely recommend this house. Owner is very knowledgeable and accommodating.Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

About the owner: Real estate and construction professional who enjoys the outdoor activities found in Wintergreen and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley with his family and friends. This house was built with the idea of entertaining friends and family in a home that combines the comforts of home with the beauty of the outdoors.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The house is a short drive, or walk, from the Wintergreen spa, pool and recreation building, mountain golf course, scenic overlooks and of course, the ski slopes. A short drive to the other side of the mountain will get you to the kids activity center open year round. Favorite activities are driving Skyline Drive in the fall, visiting wineries, enjoying one of the many music, arts and crafts festivals in the area, or simply taking a hike in the woods. We also enjoy kayaking and fishing on the local creeks and rivers. In the winter, it's all about skiing, snowboarding and tubing!
